We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The property was very clean, well stocked, and had everything we needed. Communication was excellent from start to finish, and John & Kathleen truly went above and beyond to accommodate our group. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience we would definitely stay here again!

We had an excellent stay! Even though we were only here for one night, everything was perfect. The property was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. Check-in was easy, and everything we needed was readily available. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay.

Pop Pop’s Getaway was absolutely perfect for our family of six! The place was spotless and we had everything we needed at our fingertips. It was a perfect location for exploring the Keweenaw Peninsula and the Porcupine Mountains. The hosts messaged us during the stay to see if we had any questions. The booklet they had made for the cabin was super useful and well put together. We appreciated all the labels around the cabin, too!

If you are looking for a very clean, well functioning home to stay in this is the one! This is the kind of place where all you need to do is bring your personal stuff and show up because every time you come here everything is working properly and very comfortable. The home is newly renovated with great upgrades like a new fireplace and a brand new beautiful sauna! We have now stayed here the last few times we have come up to visit family in the area and we love it and will always chose this home when its available!

We had such a nice time this weekend at John’s place. He was super helpful with check in, has accurate photos of the listing, and the area is serene and peaceful. The sauna was the best! We picked this place because it was central to many outdoor recreational areas and far away from the hustle and bustle of city horns and highway rush hour traffic. Ontonagon is about 12 minutes up the road so we were able to pick up any last minute items as well as check out some of the local eateries. Perfect for a couples retreat or small family gathering, would recommend !!

This house was adorable and very well put together. We only travelled with three people but it had lots of room and plenty of supplies for a few more. Everything was nice and clean. We enjoyed the fireplace which was easy to use. John sent us a very nice welcome message with all we needed to know! We 100% would stay here again!

The house was very comfortable and the hosts thought of everything to make their guests comfortable. There were games and interesting books to keep us entertained when we were resting in the evening. The shower had amazing water pressure and the beds were comfortable. They even had a fantastic coffee bar. The welcome packet had all the instructions for the property. And it was located to many amazing and fun things to do. We have already recommended to friends.
