Cozy cottage with private Lake Superior beach in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula

Our cozy, lakeside cottage is perfect for up to 4, with 2 bedrooms and 1 full bathroom. Enjoy the privacy of our beach and home, or get out and immerse yourself in the beauty and adventure our Great Lake and the nearby Porcupine Mountains have to offer.

The cottage:
The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you may need to prepare a meal or cocktail. If cooking is your thing, you will enjoy the quality cookware, a collection of kitchen tools, and a gas grill. We provide K-cups, tea choices, and hot chocolate for your stay. There is a coffee grinder as well, if you prefer to bring your own coffee.

The living room faces the lake and offers amazing views. Cuddle up with a book, play a game, or watch a storm roll in over the lake.

There are 2 bedrooms (1 queen and 1 full bed) with quality memory foam mattresses and room darkening blinds. The larger bedroom has a second television.

There is one full bathroom with a tub and shower combination. Towels and hand soap are provided. We also provide 4 beach towels per stay and a washer and dryer.

The outdoor space:
There is plenty of parking and a good size yard. The star though, is the amazing beach, which is just steps from the door. You can walk for miles in both directions or just sit and soak up the sun. We provide lounge chairs and folding chairs for you to watch the sunset or enjoy a fire.

In the summer you can enjoy swimming or picking rocks, beach glass, or Yooperlites. We provide the UV flashlights you need to find these special rocks. You will also find beach toys, beach towels, chairs, and coolers. Everything you need to enjoy a day at the beach!

But summer isn’t the only option. The rest of the year is equally as beautiful, and very quiet. Most days, from September to May, you will have the beach and lake to yourself. Come for the spectacular colors in the fall or enjoy our winter wonderland.

The outdoor opportunities in the area are endless. We provide a variety of maps and guidebooks to help you make the most of your UP adventure. Whether you hike, ski, snowmobile, snowshoe, bike, or ATV...there are options within minutes.

Come and enjoy a spectacular sunset in any season!

This cottage was the perfect peaceful getaway for my husband and myself. We had a couple of beautiful days on the beach and a couple of windy days cozied up inside. It was quiet, uninterrupted and recharging. The cottage was very clean, had everything we could have needed and it was so easy to just leave everything behind for a few days.

2nd time staying because I loved it so much the first time! The best part of waking up in this cozy cottage is being able to walk right out to the beach with your coffee. The hosts are great and communicated quickly when I had any questions. It’s a quiet little spot without seeing neighbors, unless they are down the beach. Perfect location for people who want to get away from their lives and just look for rocks, or check out the sights of the Porcupines, and Keweenaw Peninsula.

I have rented many Vrbo properties over the years but this one was by far the best experience I've ever had. The place was spotless, and just as described. The hosts were very responsive and kept in touch. They were very thorough with a house manual that answered all questions of how to use or find things needed for a pleasant experience and stay. No guessing games or problems on any levels. They also made sure that you had everything you could possibly need. Many places I've stayed only supplied you with starter supplies and you had to go out and buy extra things. These hosts made sure you would not run out of anything or need anything accept the food you brought to cook. All seasonings and even a free spaghetti meal on them were offered. I've never experienced such high quality for a rental before. I would highly recommend this rental and I will be returning. It was a totally AWESOME experience!

My husband and I grew up in the UP and recently moved back to the area. We love living on the lake and are so happy to introduce others to this amazing area. We love to travel, eat, and spend time with our dog.
