À propos de cet hébergement

Casita Deluxe — authentically western hidden gem

~ the space ~

With charming historic bones and tasteful contemporary and energy-efficient upgrades, this hidden gem (literally tucked away from the main streets, at the intersection of 2 alleys) is on a half-lot with a nice spacious yard. There’s a fully fenced back/side yard and a little unfenced front yard. With a cozy 900 interior square feet, the Casita hosts a nice slice of downhome-modern-vintage-western-eclectic style.

The place is adorned with locally-made and handmade art. Some of it is for sale, and lots of the furniture has been locally sourced and/or refurbished.

Earth-friendly products and practices keep our wheels greased here. Nearly all of the cleaning products used to keep the place fresh are purchased from pioneers of the non-toxic and earth-friendly, yet very-effective cleaning product market.

The Casita also serves as a beloved part-time family home, and thus, pretty much every detail is regularly attended to. With a diverse background in agriculture, art, design, hospitality, and tourism, the hostess is stoked to help you enjoy a swell visit.

~ important notes to consider ~

Please note, the Casita does not have an air-conditioner. This is the case with most family homes in town (the warm season here is generally short and not too hot). Most folks weather the heat of the summer just fine here, but if you feel like you need a/c inside all summer, no shade, but this may not be a good spot for you.

The Casita has been pet-friendly for a while, and since it's staying that way, you can expect a bit of normal pet-friendly wear-and-tear — the place is kept super clean, but please note, there are a few cosmetic imperfections that come with loving and living with fur-baby friends, such as a few scratches on walls and stubborn stray hairs.

Basic business operations are rooted in regenerative and reciprocal ethics and values. Casita Deluxe is honored to exist as a participating member of the gift-economy, as defined by Robin Wall Kimmerer. A good deal of the income made from the rental goes right back into supporting the largely wonderful local economy and other earth-friendly endeavors. The Casita is a proud member of Business for Montana's Outdoors and Wild Livelihoods Business Coalition — we share common interest in protecting open spaces, clean air and water, rich soil and native plants, and vibrant wildlife populations for all.

Nicole, the host was amazing! This cozy cassita deluxe is super cute! Its 2 bedrooms and has a cute living room with a wood burning stove and neat decorations throughout the whole place. Its definitely rustic! Lots of closet space in the bedrooms. The master has a desk if you bring work, like I did. The kitchen is organic friendly with a frig ,gas stove and the main items you need to live. I esp. appreciated the crock pot which made it nice to get dinner ready, go and come back to a superbly cooked hot meal. I brought my own liners so it made clean up easy. This cassita has the added feature of a fenced in back yard which features a rustic fire pit. Theres also a bbq grill. Its perfect for your puppers, but, theres a great off leash dog park only a few miles away so your pup can run. The parking is sufficient for an suv or regular car. I reccomend it for your stay in Livingston.

Aloha! Having lived-in and loved both boondocks and urban jungles, I dig a myriad of places and walks of life. As a fourth-generation daughter of a hard-working + fun-loving west-coast ranching family, and with a diversity of experience in art/design/tourism/hospitality, I've got a real stoke to explore earth's wonders *and* share my cozy authentically western home.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

Northside Livingston is eclectic, full of historic architecture, family-friendly, and lovely. Right here, we've got a great museum, a historic rail yard, wide open space and wildlife, fantastic views of Livingston Peak, nice neighbors, and very cool gardens. We're just across the tracks (a short but sweet walk or bike ride away) from the fancier and busier downtown area, where you can catch great live music, excellent food and drink, Calamity Jane's old stomping grounds, wild western history, and all kinds of local fare at art galleries, book shops, vintage stores, etc. Just another short but sweet jaunt past downtown is where the mighty Yellowstone River flows through town.

Just outta town lies a plethora of magnificent public land. The mighty Yellowstone River, the longest free-flowing river in the lower 48, flows through town. A mellow river float through Paradise Valley is absolutely awe-inspiring and life-changing. There are dozens of great nearby fishing access sites. One of the best music venues in the west, Pine Creek Lodge, is just 12 miles south of the Casita. Further south in Paradise Valley, you might wanna check out the Old Saloon and Livery Stable, Follow Yer Nose BBQ, Wildflour Bakery and Cafe, Chico Hot Springs, or Yellowstone Hot Springs. You can mingle with some grizzlies and rockhound in Tom Miner Basin, up from the valley in the Gallatin Mountains. Holding down the fort to the east of Paradise Valley soars the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness, one of the largest contiguous areas of land and peaks above 10,000 feet in the United States. The north entrance to Yellowstone National Park is about 60 miles south of Livingston, and Grand Teton National Park is just south of Yellowstone NP. White Sulphur Springs is about 70 miles north, through the beautiful Shields and Smith River Valleys. Bozeman, with it's big city amenities, university, and international airport, sprawls right up to about 30 miles west of Livingston.
