This is a hidden treasure in one of the most beautiful spots just outside the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. With a spacious upstairs space that mirrors the downstairs with a few exceptions, it’s comfortable and has most everything you’ll need for a relaxing time, and is close to adventure possibilities as well. The deck space is a dream!! Plenty of room, a hot tub (we did not use), and the water flowing by made for enjoyable morning coffee and evening tranquility. The seating area down at the river with a stone firepit right at the water is perfect! We made s’mores and the hubby fished just a little bit. It was a highlight and why we will go back! The beds were comfy - the upstairs pull-out couch was used a few nights with no complaints (snoring was heard!).The host family provides nice little touches - a s’mores kit, charcoal for the grill, plenty of coffee and tea options for both the Keurig and a regular brew coffee pot, and practical items like dishwashing soap and trash bags. Bathrooms are well-outfitted with shower supply dispensers, hand soap, and kindly-scented air fresheners. The kitchens were equipped with a little of everything you’d need to cook and dine in on vacation! The dishwasher, oven, and refrigerator are on the “compact” size, but roomy enough inside. The only thing to be aware of is that the staircase to the wonderful upstairs suite is narrow and a little steep. It’s worth the climb, though, for those who are able! Highly recommend!
