About this property
Cozy Pet Friendly Cabin in Townsend w/ TONS of privacy. Sleeps 8.
Need a special place to get away from it all? April Charm is the cabin for you! Nestled on a private wooded lot, April Charm offers a calming and serene location to relax and unwind.
Situated in the beautiful Smoky Mountains, our 2-story cabin offers all the comforts of home. Cades Cove, the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, is a short 10-minute drive from the cabin. The Cades Cove loop allows some of the most scenic views, the best opportunities to see wildlife, miles of hiking trails, and historic sites to learn about early Tennessee life in the mountains.
The Wild Laurel Golf Course is a short 0.9 miles from our cabin. Wild Laurel is a public, full-service, par 70, 18-hole golf course. Don’t worry if you forgot your clubs or don’t have any room to pack them, you may rent clubs at the Pro Shop. If you need an adult beverage or a quick snack, feel free to visit the Tavern and enjoy the incredible views from the Club House.
Looking for some fun in the sun during your stay or need an activity to keep those kids busy and entertained? Our sweet little town of Townsend offers walking and biking trails and we have a beautiful scenic River for tubing and fishing. For the less energetic, there are shops and museums to explore. And if you decide you want to see popular Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg attractions – they’re only about 20 miles away.
We offer all the comforts of home with a fully stocked kitchen, a relaxing living room with beautiful natural stone wood-burning fireplace and smart TV. Our master suite on the main floor of the cabin offers a wonderful, jetted tub for soothing relaxation before tucking into the king-size bed with luxury bedding linens and extra pillows for all levels of comfort. Snuggle in to watch your favorite shows on our Smart TV or to get a much-deserved good nights rest!
Upstairs we have a second bedroom with 2 comfy queen-size beds - perfect for those seeking a separate children’s area or to accommodate best friends who joined in on your trip. A jack n jill bathroom with tub/shower combo seperates the bedroom from the open sleeping loft. In the upstairs open sleeping loft you will find a queen size bed, smart Tv, pub Table and Foosball table.
We invite you to enjoy our beautiful wooded lot from the back porch where you will be serenaded by the birds. (Morning coffee tastes best on the porch!) You may even be lucky enough to spot one of our beautiful black bears or grazing deer. And for those grill experts eager to create a special outdoor meal, we have an outdoor dining table and a gas grill for your use and feel free to plug in those patio lights for an extra special cozy feel. We have an outdoor fire pit in the back yard to end your perfect evening at sharing stories, having smores or just taking in the peace and serenity of our cozy and comfortable cabin.
So, whether you would like to bring your family, have a friends’ reunion, or just have a quiet time for you and your sweetheart, we know you will fall in love with the charm of our little place in the peaceful side of the Smokies! We are excited to welcome you!

My name is Jo Carpenter and I am so happy to meet you! I have been managing properties since 2015 and absolutely love it and my customers ! I sorta stumbled into this profession after leaving "corporate America" and venturing out into the unknown with my wonderful husband and business partner - but I must say I wouldn't trade it for a minute! A good day for me is a satisfied and happy guest! A great day for me is a return guest! I will do anything I possibly can to help you make your stay with us one for the memory books! If you are celebrating something special - please reach out and let me know how I can help you make it fabulous!
Why they chose this property

Close and convenient to the Peaceful Side of the Smokies for those wanting to unplug and experience local flavor. For the more adventurous type, we have a beautiful river to fish or kayak in and lots of walking and biking trails to enjoy and let’s not forget that you are only 10 minutes away from the most visited National Park in the US - the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. If you prefer to shop and dine at chain restaurants/fast food selections you will not be disappointed in Maryville which is a short 20 minutes away.
