About this property

Cozy, Waterfront Cabin-Style Gem with Private Dock and Lovely Views

Enjoy a secluded waterfront vacation in West Bath when you stay at this cabin-style rental on your next New England getaway. With a wraparound deck and a private dock, this charming house is the ideal spot for a family reunion or a large group of friends. Whether you're watching a summer sunset over the water or warming your feet by the wood stove, you'll never want to leave.

The house is located on a quiet peninsula about 40 miles south of Augusta, tucked amongst the trees with a stunning view of the river and surrounding islands.

The inside has a cozy, rustic character throughout, paired with modern conveniences like WiFi, cable, and a DVD player. The downstairs living room features a wood stove, a writing desk, large windows, and plenty of comfortable seating to relax or play games.

The kitchen is fully equipped, with plenty of counter space for fixing large, delicious meals. You'll find both gas and charcoal grills for all your barbecuing desires.

In the summer, you can move outside to the porch, which is furnished with sofas, chairs, and tables of its own. It's also fully screened-in, so you don't need to worry about mosquitos or other pesky insects crashing the party. There's even a hammock out in the trees for those lazy afternoons.

Upstairs, there are four bedrooms with three queen beds and three twin beds, sleeping nine guests altogether. With lamps, easy chairs, and dressers, the rooms have been elegantly furnished for maximum comfort. Please note that there is only one bathroom in the house. But it's a small price to pay for this pristine country setting.

If you're looking for a large, gorgeous home in a tranquil location, this is the rental for you. The house enjoys a privileged location in a quiet and respectful neighborhood and there are outdoor activities galore and plenty of room to simply kick back and relax. The dock gives you easy water access for fishing and swimming. You'll also be right next door to the Hamilton Audubon Sanctuary, a 93-acre wildlife preserve with phenomenal hiking trails, bird watching, and cross-country skiing.

This is the spot to get away from it all, so don't wait - book today.

This cabin was exactly as desribed! It was a charming older cabin right on the New Meadows River, with spectacular water views from the back porch. While our stay was a short two nights, we thoroughly enjoyed our time here.

Rustic charm. Beautiful location to stay if you are looking for a quiet place to chill. It has that cabin feel. Where you can have the quality time you want. Be aware that it does get cool at night in the cold months. Has one heater that does a nice job warming the place up a bit. Also a stove. Plenty of games to do. Planty of locations to chill.

We'll be back!

This cabin has a fun, campy feel with excellent access to the water and a fabulous, huge screened-in porch. The furnishings were homey and the beds were incredibly comfortable. We kayaked and fished all week and enjoyed a very relaxing vacation right on the water.

Serence old house in beautiful location

Rustic old home with a private boat dock. We've stayed here twice and will return again. A place to get away. Has everything you need. Only one bathroom but didn't really pose an issue (4 adults and one baby).

Lovely views, period and setting atmospheric, good choice

We enjoyed our stay and found the owners provided numerous little helpful extras. The only somewhat significant challenge is the recurring 31 stairs' climb, but the reward is a great view.

Relaxing and peaceful

We had a wonderful week at Rock Haven Bliss. The house is rustic and spartan, which was just what we were looking for. The floating dock, sunsets over the river, and the screened in porch were highlights for us.
