I absolutely loved the place. I’ve rented a variety of homes in Vermont to go skiing and this had to be my best experience. It’s a remote home and the front stairs can be challenging to go up and down due the snow but what a beautiful place with all the charm of a home deep in the winter beauty of Vermont.
Beautiful place and very comfortable accommodations. We explored the area around the cabin, hiked the Appalachian Trail and mt. biked. Each night settled into a relaxing night in the cozy cabin.
Even though it rained our entire stay, we thoroughly enjoyed the peacefulness. The view from the deck overlooking the falls and creek to the pond and the rest of the property was amazing. Everything inside was very clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.
My husband and I had a lovely stay in Barnard at the cabin. It is rustic and very charming! There are some stairs to climb and some low ceilings in the bedroom but it has a wonderful warm and cozy feel and I would recommend it.

Love this cabin!
My family and I just finished a lovely stay at this perfect cabin. We were absolutely charmed by every aspect of this place, from the pond in which we swam and canoed every day, to the small waterfall that runs through the property, to the beautifully appointed cabin with fantastic views, great linens and a well-stocked kitchen. We would highly recommend this property for anyone who wants a great getaway.

Excellent place to relax!
Hearing the waterfall while enjoying the night sky next to the fire melted any stress we had away. The place is a perfect cozy getaway from the world's noise. We had a great time canoeing and hiking in the area. Woodstock delivers on excellent dining. A great time!
This place is just amazing, you can listen to the water trickle in the stream through the window at night. My toddler loved the little beach. Great host, great stay. Will definitely try and come back.

Beautiful and relaxing vacation experience
This property was exactly what I was looking for...a quiet, comfortable, beautiful spot to relax and explore the outdoors. From hiking/biking to reading in the hammock listening to the waterfall, all of my needs were met. The town is very quaint and has several amazing restaurants. The owners are a wonderful family willing to go above and beyond to help. I highly recommend this little piece of heaven to anyone looking for a getaway!
Awesome cabin nestled into the woods next to a waterfall. Very cozy for a couples getaway. Will definitely return in the future.
Did have to shovel pathway and stairs to get in, so be prepared if it snows.
We had a wonderful stay at the cabin. Listening to the waterfall next to the cabin was so peaceful. The pond was so much fun. The kids really enjoyed the beach and kayaking. The cabin was clean and comfortable and the kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. The kids are already talking about coming back!

Great cabin and property = real getaway!
Lovely property with million dollar views. Want to come back in winter! Quaint and charming cabin is well appointed with nice kitchen. Rustic only in sense of one bath (downstairs) and sloped low ceiling in bedrooms upstairs.

The perfect place to relax!
Either listening to the waterfall or kayaking on the pond you will be enjoying a little bit of heaven on earth !
If you love nature I would highly recommend this home . My family and I will definitely be going back !! Enjoy !!!
This house is lovely, peaceful, and secluded. It’s a wonderful place to stay if you want to enjoy nature and explore the surrounding area. The only thing I would say as a word of caution: this house is not a great choice for people with very small kids or older folks. The staircase up to the bedrooms is not for the faint of heart! Also, if you are very tall, you might knock your head (a lot) on the ceiling upstairs. Besides those two caveats, this house was a lovely stay.
We really enjoyed the deck and the pond. The newly renovated bathroom is very nice. Location is great for hiking, biking, Woodstock and Barnard. Guests need to bring own drinking water because water from tap is not okay to drink. Sound of waterfall is lovely.

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
While the property was lovely on the ground floor, there were features that should have been more clearly pointed out in the listing that would have influenced our decision to rent this particular property. Specifically, the height of the bedroom ceilings and the condition of the stairs from the parking area to the cabin. The listing should state that it is not appropriate for most renters with chidren or physical limitations.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed the main living area and appreciate your notes about the stairs and ceiling height. We’ll update the listing to make these details clearer for future guests. We hope you still enjoyed your time in the area and look forward to the chance to host you again.
Stunning location, well equipped and comfortable cabin
The cabin is in a stunning, secluded location with beautiful views down a tree-lined valley and over the lake. The cabin has a very spacious and comfortable first floor living space. The bedrooms are a tight squeeze - the photos on the listing give a fair view. Woodstock, 15 mins away is a beautiful town and great for restaurants and shopping. We visited in the Fall and the colors were INCREDIBLE
