About this property

Peaceful Lakefront Cabin Retreat on a Quiet & Secluded Lake

Located on the pristine Chain Lake, Elk WA, this quaint cabin is a dream for those seeking a cozy and relaxing retreat.

With three bedrooms, loft and bunk house available you will find plenty of space to relax. Our cabin stays cool during the summer and cozy warm in the winter with a multi-zone Mitsubishi Ductless Heat pump system for year-round comfort. No need to worry about power outages as we have a Generac standby generator for uninterrupted power during your stay. If you prefer the warmth and ambiance of a fire, we will have the wood ready for you to enjoy a cozy evening. Radiant patio heaters have been installed on the front and back porches for those chilly mornings or evenings. Our cabin has every amenity available as it is also our family cabin, and we want you to be as comfortable during your stay as we have been.

You can kayak and paddle board to the water fall on the other side of the lake or fish for rainbow trout, Kokanee or perch, hike, walk, run, read or nap on the hammock, listen to music, or watch the plentiful deer, turkey or occasional moose swimming across the lake. Chain Lake is an 80-acre lake that prohibits any motorized watercraft which in turn provides a perfect and safe lake for kayaking, paddle boarding or any other water activities.

Your will be very comfortable in this spacious and unique space. 8 guests (10 if you use the bunkhouse), 3 bedrooms, loft, and bunkhouse (Queen, 2 Full beds, 5 twin beds), living room, kitchen, laundry and 2 baths. Access to lake shore to launch your boat (motorless), or swim (lake is deep).

Our property is part of Enchantment Valley community which consist of only 10 or so lots in the entire community and the lake respectively.

Interesting local history: The Great Northern railroad line ran through our valley from 1891 for 100 years. In 1906 the train derailed at the exit of the tunnel into the lake and 12 people died. The train was pulled out of the lake and a new train tunnel was built.

Very peaceful. The cabin was beautiful and had every thing needed for a lakeside cabin retreat, including games. Good air-conditioning was a huge plus. The owner was very prompt in answering any questions and we had a wonderful stay. It is not a lake you can swim in due to the thick lily pads and other aquatic plants unless they have been removed as of this post, but we researched the lake ahead of time and expected that. It was wonderful kayaking it and just looking for wildlife. Getting in and out of the kayaks was a little tricky due to the launch setup at this cabin. We saw beaver, deer, marmots, heard an elk, and saw lots of different birds. A perfect getaway if you want to escape. There is a steep switchback leading down to the cabin, so be sure to have an appropriate vehicle with GPS handy to navigate. The cabin has Wi-Fi, so calls can be made there, but this cabin is in an area that does not receive cell service. The peaceful view was worth it! I would definitely stay there again.

Wonderful place to stay, perfect quiet location. Lake is quiet and good for fishing, paddle boarding and swimming once you get past the lily pads. There is also a rope swing further down the lake and a waterfall up the river at the end.

Three generations were able to enjoy quality time during our stay. We enjoyed kayaking, fishing, games, and all of the nature. We spotted numerous bird species, deer, and turtles. The 'neighborhood' was incredibly quiet and we were literally the only people on the lake most of the time. We appreciate that the home has plenty of seating, table space, and dishware for all of the guests. Beds were comfy and plenty of towels and blankets.
