Private Pend Oreille River getaway on a 3 acre piece of property with over 200 feet of water frontage. Wildlife galore is a sight to behold! Cozy home with old world charm and the accents of Pottery Barn! Enjoy the spacious deck with a full river view! Exploring the local trails for hiking, kayaking the river in the summer and skiing the nearby mountains (49 degrees or Schweitzer) in the winter! We welcome dogs but we must know that they are coming and the pet fee must be paid.

This property has a beautiful garden and its own access to the river. It was perfect for a getaway to unplug and slow down. This was our first house rental and taking our dogs. We had so much fun and everything we would need. There are grape vines so if you bring your dogs just make sure you watch them. The river is beautiful but you do need to swim out pretty far for the water not to have stuff in it.

Absolutely wonderful stay! It was everything we hoped for with a view! Clean, very well equipped, and a perfect location. Kayla and Chad (the hosts) were very responsive and made sure we were well accommodated. She even left us a gift card for a local coffee shop.! I would highly recommend staying at this quaint home on the river if you’re in the area.

Check in was easy and smooth. Kitchen was fully stocked with and utensils, pots, pans, and dishes you could want. There were also basic spices there as well as coffee pods for the coffee maker.

I Wish I Could Give 6 Stars!

This property had everything we could have possibly needed and more. The checkin-checkout process was seamless and any questions we had were quickly answered with kind and prompt assistance from the owners. The fantastically beautiful location was incredible and the perfect setup for our family with my MIL, our two teens, and our pup. From kayaking, to just enjoying the view and the bald eagles, it was the perfect spot to relax and spend time with family. Thank you to the owners for sharing your special place!

Amazing property for a small get together. Kitchen is well stocked with everything we needed. The deck is great for taking in the view any time of day. We saw so many birds and other wildlife. The lower deck and hot tub are perfect for a little more privacy from the small amount of boat traffic. The kayaks and water front were also great. The garden and yard were amazing as well and the place is set up for dogs to hang out. The loft isn’t quite big enough for an adult to stay in, which it looked like from the photos, but the couch did ok for another bed. And there were plenty of towels for the river and showers.

Stunning setting, convenient location

We were there for our daughter's wedding that was held at a venue close by. The location was perfect: An easy drive to the Venue and far enough away to enjoy some peace and quiet. The property is kept in immaculate condition and is equipped with everything needed for our short getaway. The grounds are amazing, with beautiful gardens interspersed with sitting areas, blooming flowers, a nice path to the river's edge and a deck view to die for. I really enjoyed sitting outside on the deck in the early morning, enjoying a fresh cup of coffee, taking in the peace and quiet, which was a much needed respite from the daily, flurry of activities. The owners were especially gracious throughout our whole stay, making sure they knew we could contact them at any time should a problem arise. My only advice for improvement during a stay is to make sure you take advantage of this unique setting and everything it has to offer! What I wouldn't have given to take one of the provided kayaks out for a spin on the river. Or, to have spent some down time reading out in the garden. Heck, another early morning out on the deck with a cup of coffee would have been just fine with me!

Lovely

House was clean, comfortable and cozy. Lots of interesting decore but not cluttered. Nice kitchen to cook in and large table for eating and other activities.. Deck was great for watching the river and the birds. The garden was a beautiful space with a fire ring, table and chairs and fully enclosed, which was great for the dogs. If it had been a bit warmer and dryer, we would have lived on the deck and in the garden. Two eagles frequented one of the trees in the garden!

Absolutely beautiful view! The deck was huge and brand new-wonderful for our family dinner on Saturday. Very well stocked kitchen, overall an extremely comfortable place to enjoy our visit with family.

This house and the gardens are far better than the pictures suggest. The garden is absolutely beautiful and peaceful. This was the best "better than expected" house we've ever rented.

We are Chad and Kayla and after raising our large family and leaving the film world, we started on online animation school for young students! We love doing that together! We also have discovered our love for lighthouses as we've traveled to the furthest part of the west coast and east coast during these last couple of years! Our young family always loved the ocean and now we love the water of the inland PNW! Kayaking is our favorite!

Our cottage is situated on the Pend Oreille River and is an easy walk and has a wonderful to that beautiful scenery! There are many types of wonderful wildlife to enjoy every time we are enjoying the cottage, including Bald Eagles, Deer, Ducks, and other birds. The squirrels are heard chirping to each other as the play amongst the many trees!

Our property has an amazing garden area that just adds to the relaxing quality of the house and property situated so close to the river! We love the beautiful lush garden, pergola, and fire pit area that the previous owners created and built! What an amazing and relaxing place to be as we get away from work and busy life at home.
