This gorgeous Kiawah Island retreat is located perfectly between the 18th hole of Turtle Point, the Roy Barth Tennis Center (top ranked in America), and the pristine Kiawah Island Beach. We've professionally designed this home as a spacious retreat for families and couples groups alike. Two beautiful verandas, a spacious living space and kitchen, a game room, and 6 primary bedrooms (plus an added bonus room) provide ample places for adults, teens, and children to find their own special spot.

Upstairs has five bedrooms and three bathrooms. The upstairs master bedroom has a California king bed and a daybed/trundle combo, it also has an en-suite bathroom with shower/tub. The second largest upstairs room has an en-suite bathroom also and a queen bed. There are two additional rooms, each with queen beds, and a final room upstairs that has a bunk bed. These three bedrooms share a full bathroom. On the main floor is the second master bedroom with a king bed (wood floors) and a master bathroom. There is also a bonus room with a pullout sofa bed that can be made private by closing the sliding barn doors (typically open to allow access to the main family room area.

The kitchen is fully renovated and upgraded. It includes double fridge/freezer, oven/stove, microwave, dishwasher, and coffee station. All major cookware and utensils are provided, along with silverware and flatware for up to 14 guests.

The pool is shared by the small Ocean Green community, you’ll have access with a fob. Pickleball and tennis can be scheduled with the Barth Tennis Centre directly. The beach (access point 29) is just a short walk, about five-seven minutes, depending on the route you take. Bikes, Chairs and Umbrellas are available for rent on the island and can be booked in advance with local providers.

Dinner reservations can be made at the Sanctuary and it’s about a ten minute walk from the house or short drive. The Turtle Point clubhouse is just a few minutes walk (visible from the back steps) and has an incredible bar and great food options.

We love the beautiful sands of Kiawah Beach, the walking proximity to golf and tennis, the amenities of the resort and the relaxing vibe you get the moment you come on to this beautiful island!

Why they chose this property

Ocean Green is a small neighborhood of about 30 houses that we love to come to as a retreat from it all. It is the closest of the Vanderhorst plantation neighborhoods to the main Sanctuary resort, to the tennis resort, and to Turtle Point golf course. We have a direct path to the beach that takes anywhere from 5 to 10 minutes to walk (depending on your route). We bought the house from the original owners. They poured decades of love and family vibes into the home, while also expanding it to be the largest in the ocean green community. It serves as the perfect getaway for families and friends in the heart of Kiawah Island.

What makes this property unique

Unlike any other house in Ocean Green, this home sports an incredible 6 rooms and 5 bathrooms. It is rated by the city for 14 guests, 5 cars, and can easily accomodate these with the spacious living areas inside and out. With 3500sf of interior living space, two large outdoor 400sf decks that provide great outdoor entertaining, and a lower level 650 sf space that provides a getaway retreat to play pool, ping pong, and throw darts - the combined indoor/outdoor square footage of this spacious retreat is over 5000sf. Families and friends gathering together will have options to find what works best for each individual or group. The best feature is that its just walking distance from the beach (8 minutes), from a world class tennis facility (barth), from the main resort (three restaurants), and sits on the 18th hole of Turtle Point (grab a tee time OR dinner!). Most homes on Kiawah do not have pool access, but we do with the Ocean Green Neighborhood pool (accessible with a key fob).
