Prima lokatie, prima appartement

Pros: De locatie, het terras Cons: Beetje rommelig, alsof ik bij m'n tante logeerde. In elk laadje lag wel wat; lampjes, servetjes, onderleggers, waxinelichtjes, aansteker enz. Beetje niet relevante spullen. Een kast zonder planken waar beddengoed, handdoeken, badmatten, strandlakens in alle retrokleuren allemaal op 1 grote stapel lagen. Helaas na ochtendje uitzoeken, maar 1 extra overtrek voor 2 persoonsbed gevonden. Wat ik echt niet vind kunnen is dat er geen matrasbeschermer, geen molton of iets dergelijks aanwezig was. We hadden de pech dat de geiser lekker was en 2x per dag bijgevuld moest worden. Gastheer heeft hier direct op gereageerd, maar was afhankelijk van monteurs.

Pros: We hebben 12 weken in dit fantastische penthouse verbleven. Hele mooie locatie met prachtig uitzicht vanaf het zeer grote terras. Van 's-morgens tot zonsondergang stond de zon op het terras, dus dat was echt genieten. Alles wat je maar wenst was aanwezig met een sfeervolle inrichting. Ook als je tussendoor een weekje familie of vrienden ontvangt is dat geen enkel probleem. Ook het contact met de eigenaar was heel goed. Je kan hem om alle informatie vragen die je maar wilt, o.a. over de omgeving of goede restaurants. Het is een heel centrale ligging, want je kunt vandaar verschillende steden bezoeken of hele mooie wandelingen maken. Dit penthouse is zeker een aanrader. Wij hebben enorm genoten. We komen zeker nog een keer terug.

Wij hebben het zeer naar onze zin gehad op enige kleine minpuntjes na te weten eerste dag TV kunnen kijken de volgende dagen ondanks de aanwezige beschrijving de tv niet meer af kunnen stemmen ( debil of geen signaal) Ook vonden wij het wat verwarrend dat er veel prive spullen van de eigenaar aanwezig zijn waardoor het goed opletten was bij het weer inpakken voor de terugreis maar aan de andere kant er ook soms nut van gehad. En een puntje van aandacht is dat het zeker 4 minuten duurt voordat er warm water uit de douche komt lijkt mij een waterverspilling. En verplichte eindschoonmaak veel te Duur vragen ons af wat eenpoetsvrouw wel niet verdiend in Spanje.

Pros: This is a wonderful appartment for 4-5 people. It is very spacious and airy, with high ceilings and lots of light. We enjoyed the air conditioning, the cool stone floors and the tasteful decoration. We slept really well here! It is also well equipped with amenities and everything you need to cook at home or wash etc. The terrace is fantastic, with great views of the sea and the mountain, also from the pool. We are a family with 3 children and enjoyed the freedom of their going down to the pool on their own and the closeness to the beach, a nice "Cala" with very few people. You do need a car to get to Altea as this "urbanización" is a few kilometres away, but the apartment has its own garage spot and it is a short drive to one of the most beautiful villages in Spain, with great night life and shopping opportunities. The owner was helpful, accommodating and very quick to answer. We recommend it wholeheartedly!

Pros: We had an amazing stay in this modern penthouse apartment 2-12 September, so we have booked again for next year. The apartment is very spacious and has everything you would need for your stay. Location great, only 45 minutes from airport, 5 minutes drive to supermarket, and 5 minutes drive to sandy beach in Calpe with loads of bars and restaurants. From the apartment a short stroll and you have shingle beach, bars, restaurants and Greenwich Marina. We loved the terrace views over the coastline, the evening views are breathtaking. Would we recommend, yes... you would struggle to find an apartment of this high standard with location and views at this price.

Pros: We can only backup Jacqueline Dower's review. We have travelled much, and seen many apartments, this one jumps into the top 2. From the booking and communication with the owners, the hand over of keys, to the depressing day of departure, service was in top and personal. The hole area of Altea is amazing, friendly and really down to earth. And you can feel it in the apartment, because you just relax there, sitting on the great balcony, watching the sea and mountains. We can only recommend it, but please don't book the dates that we intent to.
