Forest bathing, stargazing, campfires, and an adorable vintage Airstream await.

Tucked under the pines, this vintage Airstream isn’t just a camper — she’s a tribute to my great aunt Louise. Under five feet tall but packed with grit and heart, Aunt Louise used to take me camping in the Arizona mountains in her old cab-over pickup. She’d swat black widows out from under the camper like it was nothing, and sit on a stack of phone books just to see over the wheel as we wound through the mountain roads.

Naming this camper after her is my way of honoring that wild, fearless spirit — and inviting you to feel a bit of it too. Whether you’re roasting marshmallows under the stars or curled up with a book in the woods, Louise is here to hold space for wonder, adventure, and a touch of old soul magic.

Guests Have the whole campsite

We are three your professionals on site! will wave when we go by and may have a quick chat in if we see you out and about to check on your stay! We are on shared land but do our own thing! Always happy to chat or give local tips if desired.

Guest Agreement: Is Louise the Airstream Right for You?

The guests who do best at Louise are warm-hearted, nature-loving spirits who enjoy tucking into a cozy little nook of wild pine forest—close to all the hiking, swimming, and fresh-air adventuring this area has to offer. If you’re into morning coffee surrounded by birdsong, open-air showers under the trees, and falling asleep to the sounds of nature (and maybe a fan gently whirring), you’re in the right place.

Louise is a great fit for:
Folks coming in for a weekend or week-long getaway who want a fun alternative to a hotel

People who love being outside and want to explore the area’s natural beauty

Glampers who like a bit of ease with their adventure—the gear’s already set up, and yes, you can even plug in your phone (or a hairdryer)

Those who appreciate retro vibes, vintage charm, and a few harmless quirks

Laid-back souls who are happy with clean bedding, warm showers, twinkle lights, and good energy

Louise might not be the best fit for:
Anyone looking for a hotel-style experience with flushing toilets, climate control, or granite countertops

People who are uncomfortable in nature or don’t want to hear a nighttime owl or rustle in the woods

Guests who aren’t OK with dogs on the property (they’re friendly but around)

Anyone uneasy about a private, outdoor shower (rustic but charming)

Folks who don’t want to use a clean, well-kept outhouse instead of a traditional toilet

Guests expecting a brand-new camper—Louise is 50 years old, and while mostly functional, she’s got a few lovable quirks (think sticky cabinet latches and a fridge that only runs on propane)

What to Bring + Helpful Tips
Louise comes equipped for showering, cooking, and cozy sleeping—but bringing a few extras will make your stay even better:

Headlamp or flashlight for evening strolls or reading under the stars

Bug spray (just in case the mosquitos think you’re sweet)

Firewood if you’d like a campfire—we’re working on stocking it ourselves, but feel free to gather any downed wood from the forest nearby

What is Glamping?
Glamping is short for glamorous camping—basically camping without the hassle.

With Louise, you get:

A cozy camper all set up and waiting for you

Outlets for powering your phone, lights, or a hairdryer

A warm outdoor shower (yes, even in the woods)

A propane-powered fridge (just note: if the propane runs out, it’ll take a bit to cool back down)

A kitchen with the essentials for making meals or brewing your morning cup

Fresh towels, clean bedding, and plenty of charm

It’s not luxury—but it’s not roughing it either. Just a sweet, unplugged spot with a little wild magic.

Things to Know About Louise
Well, she’s 50 years old—and most everything works! Louise is full of retro charm and cozy vibes, but like any seasoned traveler, she’s got a few quirks.

Things to know for happy glampers:

Be gentle with this vintage camper. Don’t force cabinets or windows. If something sticks, reach out—we’re happy to help.

The dining table is a little wobbly. It’s fine for meals—just don’t sit or lean your full weight on it.

Bedding for the drop-down dinette is in the right bench. This includes a full set of sheets and pillowcases to swap onto the shams for space saving.

All outlets work for charging your devices.

The stovetop lights manually. Please don’t use the oven. A lighter is located under the top section of the kitchen cabinet, under the sink.

The fridge runs on propane and takes time to cool down between tank swaps. The electric option does not work.

Each single bunk includes a cotton sleep sack and a thick blanket.

A few important reminders:

Never force anything—especially cabinet doors or window latches.

Water comes from our home well and is potable. We use Flexzilla hoses rated for safe drinking water. There’s a hose at the site for top-off.

To use the shower: Lift the valve on the right to the ON position. One knob controls water pressure; the other controls gas for temperature.

Please do not dispose of feminine products in the outhouse. Toilet paper and natural waste only.

You`re welcome to collect firewood from the yard and nearby woods.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.
