About this property
Your Very Own Chalet! Stunning Lake and Mountain Views
Sitting on 12 acres of sprawling evergreen forest in Western Maine – Chalet Kezar is a 2 bed/1 bath 1930’s chalet with a detached bunkhouse overlooking stunning views of Kezar Lake and the White Mountains.
Originally built in 1938, this charming hillside chalet is the perfect place to call home during your summer or fall vacation. Chalet Kezar is an off-the-beaten-path retreat nestled in the white mountains of Maine. From the lichen covered fieldstone fireplace to the early American pine interior, you’ll fall in love with the timeless charm and Swiss-style design of Chalet Kezar.
Outside Chalet Kezar, you'll find Mt. Washington and Kezar Lake, which was once named one of the 7 most beautiful lakes in the world by National Geographic. Inside you'll find 2 spacious bedrooms, a full kitchen, fireplace, full bath, living room, and an extra cozy screen porch. The porch features a pop-up table where you can have drinks or dinner while enjoying breathtaking sunset views. There is also a separate bunk house studio with two bunk beds, perfect for kids!
The residence has been very well maintained to preserve the original “Swiss Chalet” vision of the owners (you can view original architecture drawings from 1938 hanging on the walls)!
The Center Lovell Market is just a short walk up the road, or 2-minute drive, and has a small market and restaurant. The town beach right on Kezar Lake is less than 5 minutes away by car. The marina is only 5 minutes by car where you can rent a boat or kayaks. There is no lake access from the Chalet. You can also walk or drive to the Harvest Gold Gallery—an award-winning art gallery with over 7 rooms of exquisite fine art, paintings, and jewelry. As for other towns, Fryeburg is 15 minutes away, Bridgton is 25 minutes away, and North Conway is a scenic, half hour drive. We’re also happy to recommend our favorite restaurants and hikes in the area, just let us know!
We’re excited to share our lovely Chalet in the mountains with you. It has everything you need for a very comfortable short or extended stay. You’ll fall in love with the scenic views of Kezar Lake & Mt. Washington and enjoy the small town charm of Center Lovell, Maine. We invite you to experience Maine’s motto ‘’the way life should be’’ at Chalet Kezar.

This place has so much charm. We loved sitting out on the porch, enjoying the beautiful view; sitting in front of the cozy fire, and cooking on the firepit outside. The area has lots to explore, and we went on some great hikes. Would love to return someday.
So quiet with no ambient light and cool since under the large pine trees made sleeping wonderful. A classic chalet and a fun getaway even though close and accessible.
