Starting January 1, 2017 any reservation made after this day will include an In-Law apartment .The main house has all hardwood floors through out, with new furniture, beds and beautifully decorated with 5 bedrooms ,2 full baths. Very modern home with all the amenities you will need to have a wonderful stay. One of the best features of the home is overly sized modern kitchen, with new cabinets and granite countertops. You will love relaxing on the back deck in the afternoon away from the sun with a glass of wine or breakfast in the morning with a hot cup of coffee, or simply sit on the enclosed front porch with your coffee and watch passers go by. Main house has 5 bedrooms 4 large and one small with 3 queens and 2 full beds with 2 full bathrooms. One of the bedrooms is located on the first floor for anyone traveling with elderly parents. We also have a separate in- law apartment that is now available with the main house ! The apartment has 1 large bedroom, one full bath, large family room with a small fully equipped kitchen for the family that wants a little privacy from all the kids .In law apartment also has a deck for your enjoyment. Large yard for all to enjoy a cookout or host an event . Both properties are joined by an enclosed staircase for your convenience. In -Law apartment also has 2 window AC units for your convenience. Home has a large driveway to accommodate at least 7 cars and a garage to store all the bikes, surfboard .

We loved how close it was to our favorite Narragansett Town Beach and that we are able to just park our car and walk. We loved the beautiful layout of the house with the large kitchen , large porch ,and the enclosed all season room. We also liked the idea of having an in law apartment that we can share with you which makes it easy for the large families.. The large yard was an added bonus and the beautiful large decks a definite plus for the house.

All new,with beautiful furniture, beds, and being able to park your car and walk to the beach. We love having a large bedroom on the first floor and a full bath to accommodate to families with elder parents. Also included are 4 adult beach passes to Narragansett town beach for the week Kids 13 and under enter for free. We also provide you with 6 beach chairs for your convenience .

Perfect for a family vacation

We could not be happier with our two week stay in this lovely house. The space for our three generations to eat, sleep and relax together was perfect. The deck is wonderful for morning coffe, post beach regrouping, blissful sunsets and evening grill dinners. Close to shops and great restaurants. Convenient to beach - and fireworks for us! Cute, spacious, clean and well appointed. We enjoyed a family vacation we'll treasure remembering for years.

Bizzare experience in this property

Stayed in this house with my sister and our families. On the day we arrived we learned that the house has an attached apartment with a tenant. Due to the fact that we have little kids running around who are sometimes loud, we rule out any shared properties when selecting a vacation rental. My sister emailed Susan to tell her we were not happy with the surprise but would make the most of it. Susan then called my sister three times in a row, when my sister finally saw the missed calls and picked up the phone Susan immediately said "what's your problem with my son?" Very rude and not what you expect from a property owner. Apparently her son is the tenant and she took personal offense to the fact that we did not want to spend our dinners looking at him on his deck (which is maybe 5 ft away from the pictured deck). Anyway the conversation was unsettling and left my sister rattled on what should have been a fun day. We didn't hear from Susan the rest of the week, thankfully, but she showed up on the last day of our rental to confront my sister again about the tenant.

Aside from this, the house was as described. Pros we that the pier is close and the deck and screened in porch are nice. Cons were the afformentioned tenant and landlord, proximity to the street (noisy) and bathrooms. There is a reason they aren't pictured, they are old and grimy. One had a plastic shower curtain with slime at the bottom. Washer was moldy and the outdoor shower is truly a wash station (similar to what is outside at the beach) that the tenant's deck faces.

Anyone that has rented this house from me and any of the other houses we own and rent on VRBO will vouch that nothing in your description of this house is accurate and especial the description of my behavior,but you are entitled to your opinion. I would never behave in the manner you described in your review since our mission in doing rentals is you make it as pleasurable as possible for our clients. If truth be said both you and your sister were simply unhappy no matter what we offered to do for you . We go out of our way for our clients and have developed a great relationship with our clients over the years owning so many homes in the area. The previous reviews on this house and all the other house we own speak for them selves. You are correct in your statement that i called your sister 3 times but only after i received a nasty e mail from your sister stating that she was not happy that my son was staying in the in-law apartment that has nothing to do with the house you were staying ,has separate utilities, separate entrance and is registered with the town as a separate home than the house you stayed at and stated to me in an e mail that i will be going on VRBO and giving you bad review with out ever giving us a chance to see what the problem was and how we could correct it to make her and you happy. I did call her to see what the issue was and why she was unhappy .Many of the houses in the Pier area are close together and I am sorry if you were not happy with that situations. If my shower curtain was not clean i would have been happy to put up a new one for you asap but the first i heard of this was again in your review. As far as me showing up at the house on move out day ,this is something I do every Saturday so i can meet my clients and give them back the SD check which your family never paid and i still allowed you entrance .. I take exceptional pride in the cleanliness of our homes and what we have to offer our clients. Moving forward we decided to include the in-law house with the large house starting this week so it will become a 6 bedroom with 3 full baths , 2 family rooms and will sleep 14 people. I truly hope that you will give us another chance to prove to you how genuine and kind we truly are either back at this house or any of the other rentals we have. My best wishes to you ,your sister for a happy rental next summer !

Inaccurate description

For the most part, the house is as described. There are 4 bedrooms upstairs (large bedrooms upstairs is a very very ambitious description) and a large bedroom on the main level.

The house is well maintained and in close proximity to the beach, on a main street. The outdoor shower is not truly an outdoor shower- the plumbing is there, but it is only hidden by a rod with a small curtain that does not even go the length of the rod. You might think maybe this is no big deal- sometimes families see each other naked. But here is the problem. Overlooking the shower, THERE IS AN OCCUPIED APARTMENT ATTACHED TO THE MAIN HOUSE. Yes, the tenant has a separate entrance. And yes, we did find that he was out for much of the day -sometimes even until 1 am when we could hear him chatting in the street with his friends. He doesn't use the driveway- though he might ask if his friends can, but then you might email his mom (the owner) who will call him to tell him that's not ok, then call you to insist that she isn't deceiving anyone by not putting the occupied apartment as part of the listing. She also might show up as you are leaving to remind you that her son (the tenant) is never around and that he doesn't use the driveway and has a separate entrance. I should mention, though, his outdoor sitting area overlooks the sitting area of the main house (as well as the outdoor "shower") that any potential renter will use. So it's like you're eating dinner with your whole family and also the son of the owner of the property. Cozy.

Owner's Response: Hello and thank you for your feedback. Your concerns will of course be taken into consideration, however there are several points in your testimony that need to be addressed. Firstly, regarding the bedrooms- to call our description of the large upstairs bedrooms as "generous" would be quite false. Each of the bedrooms has a queen or double size bed with plenty of room for a vacationer. You rented a beach house, not a palace. The square footage of the home is listed in the description of the property. Regarding the outdoor shower- your feedback states that the shower is only protected by a rod and a curtain. The expectation of complete privacy in an outdoor shower at a home listed as being in the Pier, is absurd. Indoor showers are for privacy, outdoor showers are for washing off the sand which you still managed to track into the house. This resulted in extra cleaning fees, from which I could not deduct from you, as I paid you the courtesy of waiving your security deposit- which was to be paid upon entrance to the home, per our agreement. Regarding the tenant in the home beside you, the tenant gave you full access to the driveway and after politely asking if a friend could park in the driveway, so as to avoid a ticket on the street, he chauffeured his guest to and from a local park and ride so as to accommodate your cars, despite having only 5 in a driveway that maintains 8 cars easily. The tenant did not talk in the street with friends at 1 am. He walked a guest to their car on the street, which is when your "well behaved dog" began barking, as it had been all week. Regarding the disclosure of the presence of this tenant-we are in no way obligated to disclose this information to you as the tenant does not share your utilities, entrance, yard or outdoor shower. Only shared, dormitory style occupancy requires disclosure. As you can see from all of the other testimonies on this site, which were from tenants who rented with the in law apartment occupied, no one has yet to even mention this as a minor inconvenience or assume that privacy was an issue. This said, we are indeed disappointed that you did not enjoy your stay, and would like to offer you an "at cost" rate next summer at any of other properties, all of which do not have an in- law apartment attached. We encourage you to take us up on this offer and hope that you will enjoy Narragansett once again. Thank you

Property is very clean and well kept with plenty of curb appeal and huge rear deck which was a great place to dine with friends and family each night. Enclosed front porch is also an asset. House is a short walk to the beach , and a short drive to a variety of stores. Owner is nice and provided us with everything promised and even got us into the property by noontime . 5 stars would be given if the property had air conditioning in at least one room , because when it's hot the Windows need to be left open and road is heavily traveled with lots of noise. Beautiful property with a large driveway and plenty of off street parking . Would recommend and stay again .

I know the St. is active but thatS why the Pier area is the hot spot for weekly rentals since its surrounded with everything you need , restaurants ,walking distance to the beautiful beach , Towers and so many more happening things. As home owners we always strive to make out clients as comfortable as possible and as i said to you when we meet we will be instilling AC at the house for next summer.I am so glad the kids and your family all enjoyed the large deck and spacious back yard,and we look forward to hosting you agin next summer .

Beautiful home!

My family & I had a wonderful time at this beautiful home! The house is spacious, updated & convenient to the beach, restaurants, shops, etc.- easy to walk to everything. This was my 2nd time renting a home from Susan; she truly works hard to make your stay perfect! I hope to be in touch once we figure out next years vacation plans. Thank you!

Park your car ,walk to the beach and relax all day in this amazing home .So many beaches to explore, with many restaurants to try! Take a drive into historic Newport for the day to explore the mansions, or sailing trip in the Newport harbor at sunset.

In the mood to try your luck ,check out Foxwoods Casino 35 Min drive. Take a 45 Min boat ride to block Island and walk around for the day or simply sit and do nothing ! Not in the mood to do anything take the short walk to Narragansett town beach with your cooler , sit and enjoy a relaxing day at the beach. You have seven days so try to take advantage of all that Narragansett has to offer and explore other beaches in the area and in Newport. Take a 10 min ride to catch the Block Island ferry for the day to explore the dunes and relax at the beach.
