Satisfied in Savannah

  • 4 of 5

My siblings (spouses-total 9 persons) and I were celebrating our 60th year generational gathering, all being in our 60's is crazy, me being the youngest my wife and I stayed on the 3rd floor. The 3rd floor is beautiful although the balance of the bedrooms being on the second floor we were somewhat isolated. The third floor bedroom didn't have a TV, as all the rest of the rooms, so when we and my 94 year old mother (who was a champ making it to the second floor) decided to call it a night we either had to stay in the living room or just call it a night. The 3rd floor TV room, a movie room had a TV but no cable, only a DVD player.

We actually moved the DVD player downstairs to the living room so we, as a family we're able to watch a legacy video we had produced for her. There was no way she would have made it up the never narrow third floor staircase. Heck I had a hard time getting suitcases up the narrow turn to the top floor.

Everything was beautiful, the kitchen was perfect for the gathering but we couldn't get the washing machine to work, all of us gave it a shot, unfortunately we had already had cloths and detergent in the washer before we realized it wouldn't work. It could have been user error and I do feel bad that the detergent leaked out but once in there we couldn't stop it.

Location was perfect for the grocery store, especially with everyone (my mom and sisters live in Florida) gathering for the hurricane. Haha

We did our best to walk, Savannah being a walking city but with a 94 year old mother it was difficult. Probably would have looked for accommodations closer to historical district. That's not the beautiful Victorian houses fault, just poor judgement on how far we were from restruants, shopping, river, etc... mom can walk just fine but any lengthy walk was done with a wheelchair.

Lastly, the third floor fire alarm detectors batteries started to go out, beeping in the middle of the night. We had to take them off, in the hallway and on the ceiling in the bedroom...which as a hoot with 15 foot ceilings. We left them on the table in the third floor hallway.

Overall, a great place in a beautiful city!

Fantastic Family Reunion

  • 5 of 5

This 1891 Victorian Mansion in the historical district of Savannah was nothing short of fantastic. Our family reunion will be memorable for years to come and the memory film will capitulates this wonderful time in our lives and will always be noted as "the victorian mansion reunion" The bedrooms on the top floors was perfect for separating entertainment from resting. The dining room held everyone for meals and gatherings. Its amazing how you can get 12 adults in a kitchen and have room to walk around. Morning coffee and evening cocktails on the deck was a added pleasure.IN short the 1891 victorian mansion hit the ball out of the park. Michael Winston you are the best. Ken Dallas Texas 08/2017

Litchfield Park

Beautiful historic home

  • 5 of 5

This home was exactly what we were looking for when we planned our reunion weekend. The location was convenient and using the free shuttle to downtown was easy. The bedrooms were spacious and the bathrooms were lovely. The whole house is well appointed and the kitchen was well stocked with cookware, dishes, etc. The only thing that renters should be aware of is the large number of stairs as all the bedrooms are on the second and third floors. Maybe not a property for older clients as getting our bags up and down the stairs was not easy.

We really enjoyed our stay though and would certainly recommend the property to anyone visiting Savannah and needing that much space.

Well preserved historical Savannah home

  • 5 of 5

Perfect location just steps away from Forsyth Park. Also there is a grocery store conveniently located across the street. There is no need and driving just bring your bicycles or just a comfortable pair of shoes and truely enjoy everything Savannah has to offer. The home was quite comfortable and very accommodating with plenty of bedding, towels and toiletries. Micheal was quick to respond and checked in with us upon arrival, to ensure that we enjoyed our time while in Savannah.

Beautiful, spacious home

  • 5 of 5

We spent a long weekend here for a Bachelorette party. There were 12 in our group and we had more than enough room. The house was furnished with pretty much everything we could possibly need, plus Kroger is literally right next door. An Uber downtown was only $5-$6. You could technically walk if you wanted to. I highly recommend this house and would definitely stay here again!
