superbly located, quiet, clean and comfortable

54--‐56 rue Charlot

The apartment is superbly located -10 metres to Rue de Bretagne, and its collection of cafes and Boulangeries. Metro and bus stops are relatively close.

My wife and I spent just under three weeks in the apartment in early June, when the temperature was around 36C for over a week. The apartment had an air conditioner in the lounge and we would not have survived without it.

This apartment is located in the courtyard of a building on a ground floor making suitable for those whose knees are starting to creak. While there are offices or studios across the court yard, they were not noisy. We hardly heard the apartments above, even though with the heat most of their windows were open on hot evenings.

The beds were very comfortable, which is often not the case in Paris apartments.

The apartment was clean and extremely comfortable, although a little quirky in design. The kitchen was very narrow- one person at a time. However, it had all the required facilities, in terms of a stove, microwave, washing machine, wireless internet. I would have liked an instruction book for the stove but found one on line.

I agree with previous comments, in that from the time of reservation, the owner made the process very easy. Very communicative over email on how to pay, pick up keys, and what amenities are available. He also asked how we would like the beds arranged (double beds or split into singles for single people vs. a couple). Josephine, the host, was on-site when we arrived, to hand-over the keys and show us around the apartment. We had one problem with keys during the stay and this was resolved quickly. Since we were there for three weeks we arranged to have the house cleaned during our stay. Vera, cleaner was prompt, professional, and the cost very reasonable.

BEST PLACE EVER!

  • 5 of 5

This was by far the most amazing and charming place! We stayed here with our 3 kids ages 10, 8, and 7 for 4 nights. The location could not get more perfect. We were across the street from The Wild and The Moon, an amazing all organic cafe' with fresh pressed juice and the nicest staff. The apartment is near all the great cafes, markets, and shopping. You can get any type of food you want. There is a grocery store a block away and a pharmacy. It is quiet but you can walk around the corner to the fresh bakery and grab wonderful croissants and you could walk a few blocks to the Metro. There is an amazing playground 2 blocks away where my kids played everyday and everyone was so friendly. The apartment itself was charming and there was all kinds of beautiful art and knickknacks that my kids loved. It was inspiring, and they sketched and made crafts and the beds were very comfortable. It had everything you needed as far as towels and a fully equipped kitchen and great CD's to play music. Josette was very helpful and showed us everything we needed to know. I cannot wait to return and stay here again! Thank you!

Perfect Paris Getaway

  • 5 of 5

I just returned from Holiday in Europe with my family. The absolute best memory we have is our brief 3 Day trip to Paris. This place is absolutely perfect in its ability to satisfy literally all expectations! The location was perfect. Within walking distance of all Major tourist attractions, centrally located for dining and shopping interests and convenient to reach by Train or metro. The apartment location and appearance have an artistic and romantic feel. Josephine - the property manager - is an absolute dear. She greeted us warmly, provided a very thorough explanation of everything and stayed long enough to answer general Paris questions. The apartment itself is as advertised. There were 6 persons in my group and we all were very comfortable. The only issue was that the toilet and shower rooms were a bit small - but by American standards, all the toilets and showers in Europe are small. This place was GREAT!

Fantastic location and comfortable apartment

  • 5 of 5

My friends and I really enjoyed our stay in Paris at this apartment. If I could I would give it a 4 and 1/2, but I rounded up for the customer service. From the time of reservation, the owner made the process very easy. Very communicative over email on how to pay, pick up keys, and what amenities are available. He also asked how we would like the beds arranged (double beds or split into singles for single people vs. a couple). Josephine, the host, was on-site when we arrived to hand-off the keys and show us around the apartment. The apartment is very clean. Nothing too fancy - but has clean, nice and interesting accessories. The best part is the location of this apartment. Walking to all the best sites in Marais and close to hip areas of Republique and the Saint Martin Canal. Also not too far to get to touristy sites like Notre Dame and Louvre. Highly recommend.

charming, warm,, comfortable and roomy

  • 5 of 5

The apartment was charming, warm,, comfortable and roomy, and the location perfect. Our host in Paris, Josephine , was wonderful and was there to greet us when we arrived. She also helped us during the week, making herself available to us for any issues, and was more than wonderful when we had a problem with a lost handbag when we departed. She saved the day.

Great experience, great location.

  • 5 of 5

My family and planned 3 nights in the apartment and extended our stay for an extra night. The apartment was clean and comfortable, with plenty of space for everyone. Every morning I would walk to the bakeries down the street and bring breakfast back. Many good restaurants are nearby and you can walk to the metro in no time. The kids loved the charming apartment and we'll definitely be back.
