perfectly situated and wonderfully indiosyncratic!

A great spot for our family of 6 for a long weekend in Paris. Josephine was very responsive and helpful, and the property is exactly as advertised. If you want a comfortable and quirky spot in the middle of the Marais, you couldn't do much better.

We had a great time and the apt was perfect and we found it exactly as described. It’s actually a bit bigger than I expected.

Funky flat

  • 4 of 5

Flat was perfect for a 2 night stay. Very central but in a quiet side street with lots of cafes and restaurants nearby. We were very efficiently welcomed by Josephine and much enjoyed our stay in Paris - thank you.

Comfortable and Great Location!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this property last week, with a great location on Rue Charlot just a few steps from Rue Bretagne, with many restaurants, boulangerie, patisserie, deli's, and shops in the area. The apartment was perfect for our family, with 2 kids sharing one bedroom with single beds, and we were in the other bedroom. There is a good sized living area, and a small kitchen which we did not use much as we were out in the city most of the time.

The place is quirky and fun as you would expect from Paris apartments. We were able to walk to many of the Paris city sights, and several metro stations/lines were close by for trips out of town (Disney Paris and Versailles) and when tired from walking.

Communication with the owner was efficient and timely, and Josephine, the very nice greeter was there when we arrived and gave us the tour of the apartment and overview of the area.

Enjoyed and would recommend this property especially if you like the Marais arrondissement!

Lovely little artist retreat

Adorable place. Great location for pretty much anything. Our hostess was very accommodating. Did have a brief snafu with the electricity but it was solved easily. Beds were comfy and plenty of room for the three of us.

superbly located, quiet, clean and comfortable

54--‐56 rue Charlot

The apartment is superbly located -10 metres to Rue de Bretagne, and its collection of cafes and Boulangeries. Metro and bus stops are relatively close.

My wife and I spent just under three weeks in the apartment in early June, when the temperature was around 36C for over a week. The apartment had an air conditioner in the lounge and we would not have survived without it.

This apartment is located in the courtyard of a building on a ground floor making suitable for those whose knees are starting to creak. While there are offices or studios across the court yard, they were not noisy. We hardly heard the apartments above, even though with the heat most of their windows were open on hot evenings.

The beds were very comfortable, which is often not the case in Paris apartments.

The apartment was clean and extremely comfortable, although a little quirky in design. The kitchen was very narrow- one person at a time. However, it had all the required facilities, in terms of a stove, microwave, washing machine, wireless internet. I would have liked an instruction book for the stove but found one on line.

I agree with previous comments, in that from the time of reservation, the owner made the process very easy. Very communicative over email on how to pay, pick up keys, and what amenities are available. He also asked how we would like the beds arranged (double beds or split into singles for single people vs. a couple). Josephine, the host, was on-site when we arrived, to hand-over the keys and show us around the apartment. We had one problem with keys during the stay and this was resolved quickly. Since we were there for three weeks we arranged to have the house cleaned during our stay. Vera, cleaner was prompt, professional, and the cost very reasonable.
