Our condo, on the third floor, always has a nice breeze blowing through it. You can keep the sliding doors open to enjoy the fresh air and hear the waves. A/C available if you want it. Master suite has a queen sized bed, private bathroom, flat screen TV, and sliding door access to the balcony with incredible views. Guest room has twin beds with additional bathroom with tub and shower. Fully equipped kitchen, totally renovated in fall 2016, to enjoy meals at home or just to make up some blender drinks. Comfortable living room with flat screen TV and stereo system. Everyone loves to sit on our spacious balcony, morning, noon, and night. There are 2 lounge chairs, as well as a table and 4 chairs. Why eat inside?
We spend 2 to 3 months per year at our condo. It is furnished to be our second home, not just a rental, so there are plenty of personal touches that our guests appreciate.
We always wanted a get-away place with warm blue water and fun leisure activities. We started visiting St. Croix and fell in love with the people and places. We bought our condo while we were still working, and now that we are retired, we love spending even more time here.
Don and Liz Bartle purchased this condo in 2007
The best part of this condo, is that I can be in my pajamas, and within 5 minutes, I can be snorkeling in the ocean right out front! The view from our balcony is spectacular!
On the third floor, we always have a nice breeze flowing through our condo. Sliding glass doors in the master suite open onto the balcony and I fall asleep and wake up listening to the ocean waves. We own a second condo in the complex. and can arrange for you to accommodate more friends and family.
This is the perfect vacation to take in the middle of a frigid winter. The location is convenient to Christiansted, grocery stores, and restaurants. The condo was very clean and provided everything we needed. Everyone at the complex was friendly and helpful. We had such a great time. The owners were very quick to answer any questions and make suggestions before we arrived. My husband and I loved watching the sunrise each morning from the porch. We would definitely stay here again.
Despite the damage that Hurricane Maria brought to the beautiful island of St. Croix, Flip Flop Inn was in PERFECT condition! The condo is beautifully and tastefully decorated, all of the necessities are there (and then some!).
My sister and I had a great vacation and spent a lot of time on the spacious deck. We never once turned on the A/C and had wonderful breezes on the third floor.
Due to the destruction of Hurricane Maria, the next door condo lost its roof and so there was some gutting of the condo going on but the workers were fabulous as well as all of the islanders.
I would gladly go back and stay here. The place was exactly as described and the views are amazing. The condo is quite spacious and comfy and has everything you might need.
Thanks Liz & Don for a great place!
Nice location and the owners are always accessible for any questions and recommendations for the island. When we arrived, the office had our keys ready so check-in was a breeze. The property had everything we needed for our stay and the view is amazing. We spent most of our time on the oversized balcony. Highly recommend this place.
We were impressed with the grounds and the space. Everything was bright and cheerful. The beach directly out front isn't great but you can walk a little further down and find a much nicer area. The kids loved the pool and it had floaties available which allowed us to relax a bit since the aren't great swimmers. Some tips: the office is closed on Sundays so factor that in if you plan on using their beach towels. It's a third floor walk up, which makes for great views and breezes, but if you don't like stairs, this isn't the condo for you. Overall I highly recommend this spot. Great amount of space for the rate and the sunny east-facing windows made every morning a spectacular occasion. We truly didn't want to leave.
My wife and I arrived just after the hurricane curfew had been lifted. For the most part we could not tell anything had happened. The condo was as advertised. I enjoyed most sitting on the balcony, watching the seaplanes land and take off, watching the pelicans dive and seeing the mongoose running across the grass. The pool and ocean view were perfect.. Being on the 3rd floor limited noise from above. The maintenance people were actively cleaning the grounds and pool daily.. A car is needed to see all the sites and a person who can quickly adapt to driving on the left side of the road. Communication was great between myself and the owners.. The deposit was refunded, shortly after the completion of our vacation. I would stay here again, if I returned to St. Croix.
This was our second stay in St. Croix in the past year and our second stay at this unit. Again, we just have to thank Don and Liz for their hospitality in sharing there inviting island home and the staff for the job they do in keeping everything looking great. If you stay in this condo (and you should) you will have some of the best views of the sea and harbor so you can check out who is heading out diving or to Buck Island. Have coffee on the gallery in the morning and be treated to the diving displays put on by the pelicans. Bring your binoculars so you can watch the lobster divers and the crabbers as they bring in their catch. All this before you take your first dip in the refreshing pool or snorkel the manmade reef just off shore. If you are in the mood for a little adventure, drive on over to Frederiksted and Freedom City Surf Shop and Pi will having you standing up on a paddle board in no time. After your workout (and it is a workout but lots of fun) rent a couple of chairs and umbrella and spend the day, the beach and water are great and you can watch the activity at the Frederiksted pier as divers come and go. Hungry or thirsty, just step next door at Teres Veho (Smooth Ride) where they have a great menu (try the cilantro chicken bowl) and say Hi to Lauren, she will make sure you don't go thirsty. Wow, all of this and we haven't even mentioned Jump up or the Mango Melee. If you want to sample the diversity of the island, it's people, the culture and the cuisine then you should schedule a trip to coincide with an event such as Jump up or the Mango Melee, consult with the St. Croix Events calendar or gotostcroix web site to find out what's happening when. Of course you don't have to wait for one of those events as the island has so much to offer at any time of year. We know we will be back.
