Great cozy cabin

  • 5 of 5

My friend and I brought my dog and stayed for a mid-week visit for some R & R. The place was so nicely kept and so cozy! Great little cabin, just the right size for a small group. The cabin was clean and had plenty of extra blankets and was even supplied with board games! The wrap around deck was wonderful and great for star gazing! The huge fenced in back yard was excellent for my dog, safe and secure!

Matthew was super friendly and very responsive.

We will definitely be staying again!

Cozy and close to town!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I were attending a wedding at the Sacred Mountain Retreat, and after considering the hotels nearby, we decided on this cozy cabin. The cabin is close to the town, and close to the wedding location.

My girlfriend and I have a 9 month old baby who is already able to run around, so having the privacy of a cabin over a shared-wall hotel room was priceless. There is a nice fireplace to keep the cabin warm, and 2 couches that allowed us to relax as a family either in front of the TV and fireplace, or in front of the open living room space.

There was also enough space next the bed to place a pack-n-play, as said by another reviewer. There are a bunch of big windows that allow natural sunlight to come in, which was nice. There is also a nice big deck that is well made and sturdy. I was afraid it would be older and not safe for my son to walk on. But it was well made, and I was able to spend some time at night just star gazing with my baby boy.

There is a big backyard, which we didn't use, but the neighbors on that side of the property had a couple of dogs that barked when we first arrived. A couple other reviewers also mentioned this, so I was prepared for the occurrence. They did stop after we got settled in.

The only issue I had, was that we found a couple spiders, one of them pretty big. It was a little scary for my girlfriend, but we know it is somewhat expected in an area like this.

All in all, my family really enjoyed our stay here, and at Julian. This is the type of town that we would like to revisit, or maybe try another one we haven't visited yet, but if we do return, we would definitely be coming back here. It was such a nice and cozy cabin that fit our small family's needs perfectly.

Great experience! So cute and awesome location, I would definitely recommend it

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay. The only thing is that I wish the carpet would have been vacuumed prior to our arrival . There was hair all over the floor and even a finger nail. That was a little gross but everything else was awesome! I would definitely recommend it !

Nice quiet cabin in the woods

  • 5 of 5

This is a nice cabin for a couple or small family. It's a large studio so there are no private rooms. You need to walk up the stairs to get inside. The inside is appointed very nicely for a warm feeling.

Lovely property in a great location!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was great, close to town but far away enough to be quiet. We arrived with the cabin ready for us and lovely music playing throughout the house! That was a great touch!! The sofa bed was the most comfortable I've experienced with a foam mattress. We were thrilled to discover the cozy loft! Watching the stars on the deck was a definite highlight. I would definitely return in the future. Thank you Matthew for such a lovely experience!
