It is a great place for a large group to gather. Unique character and themes. We had to childproof first; put away a lot of crystal. Agatha has put a lot of work into it. When there was an issue, she took care of it she had snacks ready. It was a uniquely PGH experience Great!
Everything was fine, thanks
The house was wonderful
A home where I would like to visit again
Agatha made us all feel very welcome. Upon arriving at the house the christmas tree was lit and christmas music was playing from the tv. What a surprise! We had 7 adults stay and never felt cramped. With 3 stories of floor level you could go anywhere in the house if you wanted privacy. Our accommodations were close to shopping, movies and restaurants so if we needed anything we were only minutes away. Before renting you have to know that there is only one bathroom to share but we managed. Thank you Agatha for making our stay so memorable.
This house was a great place to stay and relax. It's the perfect distance from Pittsburgh.
The house was very clean, stocked with everything you would need, and charmingly decorated.
Agatha was very reachable and helpful during our stay.
Would definitely visit again!
Fantastic cozy old house!
It's a bit drafty and there's not much noise insulation, but you have to expect that with an older house; same with the scarcity of 3prong wall plugs.
The heaters worked super well, and the place was impeccably decorated throughout! I did have to move a bunch of these decorations in order to have some space to put my travel bags and also to use the dinning room and kitchen fully since we were staying for a full week.
Although there is room to sleep 10 easily, fitting more than 5-6 in the living and dining area is tough.
The kitchen was stocked on arrival with snacks, canned soups, and chef boyardee. The cook space is small, and the cooking utensils/pots/pans are only enough to cook for about 4-6 people.
The majority of the plentiful towels throughout the house were brand new, still with the plastic tabs and labels.
Beds were super comfy - I slept in the attic (roomiest space by far) on one of the king beds.
The single bath was not a hindrance at all, even with 7 people, and we had plenty of hot water for showers all around.
Agatha messaged us to check in frequently in the first couple days, and ask if we had any questions or needed anything. She even offered to take care of the laundry for towels if needed, since there isn't a washer/dryer in the house.
Plenty of grocery options, restaurants and shopping places just 5min down the road in the waterfront and main street areas.
Overall, a great place to stay!
great stay in Pittsburgh
We came to Pittsburgh to celebrate a nephew's wedding. We weren't sure how many people would need a place to stay, so this home was perfect, with plenty of options. We found it easily, had an easy time getting in because of Agatha's timely emails, and were delighted to have such a comfortable place! Although only 3 of us ended up staying, we enjoyed access to the kitchen, settled in for fine conversations in the living room, and had three good nights of rest on soft sheets. We're glad there was a blanket available, as the weather turned chilly!
Agatha saved the day for us when we accidentally bumped an extra lock in the outside door, and could not enter. She arrived and was able to help us get in.
We were a bit startled by the knight who stands guard at the front door...but once we made his acquaintance, we found him welcoming (-:
