This historic remodeled home is located within walking distance to dozens of restaurants and bars as well as retail shopping. There are two bedrooms, one bathroom, a laundry room, and a full kitchen. The counters are granite with solid maple cabinets. The front yard is fenced with a cute custom fence that resembles a flowing river, with a table and chairs for taking in the essence of the town. The backyard has a six foot cedar fence that creates a lot of privacy for the landscaped yard. A large hot tub sits in the corner and there is a large paver area in the back and a small patch of grass. There is also a garden with fresh vegetables and beautiful flowers. The house was built in 1915 as part of the original town site.

About Mark Giovale
I was born and raised in flagstaff, I grew up in a house a mile from this location and attended Flagstaff High School. My wife and I lived in this home for 8 years and would still be in it if our family wasn't growing so fast.
Mark Giovale purchased this Bungalow in 2006
Why Mark Giovale chose Flagstaff
Location! This house may be smaller than others, but the draw for us is that it is so close to all the excitement and charm of downtown. We have been so lucky to have lived in this home for as long as we did.
What makes this Bungalow unique
What I enjoy most about the house is the ability to sit and look out the giant picture window in the front of the house and watch people walking by, to see the hustle and bustle of the neighborhood and to be able to relax in the glow of the sun. The backyard warms up early in the day and sometimes I would grab a cup of coffee and sit in the sun warming myself from both the inside and out. Within minutes we are able to walk downtown and stroll through heritage square, doing some window shopping along the way, and then grab a bite to eat or listen to some music at one of the bars. It's also so nice to not have to drive downtown, parking is always a hassle, and sometimes you can't park as close as our house to where your going, so for us it is great to just walk everywhere.

Charming cottage in fantastic location
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The home is quaint, nicely updated, with a wonderful yard. The location is exceptional and within walking distance of parks, shops, restaurants, hiking trails, frisbee golf, fishing ponds etc. Mark did an excellent job making us feel at home.
open feel to house very comfortable
stayed here twice and always been great. Loved being close to downtown , parks and trails
Location, location, location! Hot tub, hot tub, hot tub!
Loved our girls getaway at 406 Birch. Mark was a responsive host and house was just perfect for our foursome. Cute street, awesome backyard hot tub, walking distance to downtown Flagstaff. Great walking trails nearby too for neighborhood walks. Can't wait to come back!
our weekend getaway
a quaint little house that is very comfortable and relaxing. close enough to downtown to walk. great backyard for our dogs and trust me, they loved it. there was even a bowl of water ready for them when we got there. one of the highlights came after we had left. i somehow dropped my wallet inside while packing to leave. the cleaning company found it [they came to clean soon after we left] and called the owner Mark immediately to report it. Mark then called us to let us know. we were to far to turn back so Mark sent it overnight so i wouldn't need to cancel credit cards and get a new drivers license. that says a lot nowadays. i would like to thank the cleaning crew and Mark for their honesty and great service. we look forward to our next stay!
Easy walk to downtown. Go the other direction and you are walking trails in a pine forest park. Great location. Loved the house which was updated beautifully. Large back yard, perfect for morning coffee or evening cocktails. Terrific place and Flagstaff has a well preserved downtown, nice shops and restaurants.
great property, everything we expected and more.
Nothing about our stay was disappointing. We were right in downtown and within walking distance of great entertainment and restaurants but far enough away from the nightlife to have a quiet peaceful night sleep. The House was clean and in great shape. The beds were very comfortable and the hot tub was great after long days. My kids enjoyed strawberries from the garden in the front courtyard. The backyard is large with a nice grill and sitting areas. My only complaint is that the property wasn’t available for the next time we were going to be back in town. I would absolutely recommend this property and we will definitely be returning in the future.
This property is located across the street from Wheeler park which hosts events and celebrations nearly every weekend during the summer. The Arizona Snowbowl is a short drive up the mountain, and all the stores, restaurants and bars in downtown Flagstaff are within a few minute walk.
