About Linda & Ken Johnston
Welcome to our slice of paradise, Lago Vista! We have been coming to Penticton since we were children and have always dreamt of owning a home on Skaha Lake. We love everything about the Okanagan, the beautiful weather, the amazing scenery, the boating, hiking, and of course the vineyards & orchards that surround us! We have two adult children who love the sunshine, hiking, biking and watersports that the Okanagan has to offer. Waking up in the mornings to the stunning view and being surrounded by orchards & wineries is utopia for us! We hope you enjoy and love our home as much as we do!
Linda & Ken Johnston purchased this House in 2014
Why Linda & Ken Johnston chose Penticton
The unparalleled beauty of the Okanagan with its perfect desert climate and the close proximity to Vancouver is the main reason why we bought our home here. Living on the lake with it's stunning mountain views to relish every day is such a treat and being surrounded by some of the best wineries in the world is wonderful! The watersports, cycling, hiking, and wonderful small town atmosphere of Penticton make our home special. Peach Festival is a memorable experience year after year with festivities that include fireworks, outdoor music festivals, carnival, and the iconic parade down Lakeshore Drive. We also love the fact that our home is in a little cove within minutes of Skaha Lake Marina and central Penticton so we have easy access to as little or as much action as we desire. The southwest exposure of our home also means that we can enjoy the changing skylines and relish the amazing sunsets daily!
What makes this House unique
As soon as you enter our home you feel like you are floating on the lake. We have amazing mountain views from all 3 levels and so many choices for enjoying lake life from a romantic drink on the upper balcony to lounging beachside. We experience beautiful sun all day long and have wonderful sunsets at night. We are blessed with warm clear LAKEFRONT, perfect for wading or swimming off the end of the dock. We also are one of the few properties on Skaha that have a beautiful sandy beach and gradually sloping water depth, perfect for young and old. We love sitting out on our lakeside patio in the evenings, enjoying dinners and playing cards. We are a couple of minutes from central Penticton and all the shops & restaurants.
