The wet, cold weather for most of our weeklong stay here at beautiful Flathead Lake absolutely put a damper our stay. However, there were several things that I felt warranted a less than stellar review of this property. We were surprised to find that there was a whole separate unit, below main house, with the king bed and mini kitchenette. It was accessible either via a metal spiral staircase off the balcony or walking outside the front door and walking on the grass downhill to the entrance. Both involved getting soaking wet.In that we were housebound the majority of the time, we needed indoor activities. I had brought a jigsaw puzzle and there were other puzzles at the house. But unfortunately there was no card or game table available. The only indoor table was a round glass-top dining table. So, no puzzles. An outdoor dining table was on the balcony, but was unusable due to constant rain. The dishes were ALL plasticware, including plates, bowls, wine “glasses” and regular “glasses.” No basic condiments were provided, except for salt & pepper. No sugar, no creamer. No ice maker (just ice trays for filling) No ziplock bags for easy pack-up on departure day. Only 2 bath towels allotted for each bedroom. No shampoo/conditioner provided. We have stayed in at least 8 different summer VRBO rentals at Flathead. With the exorbitant rental fees that are charged, since COVID, we have come to expect nice amenities and little details that make our stay special. Not this year.
