Beautiful 3 bedroom on the beach (no direct access from the house). Great team provide pre-trip assistance and followed through on all assistance need. Migrating turtles laid eggs every night.
Cute Mexico home
We loved our stay! Very accommodating. Perfect for our family size. Amazing view of Caribe side of island. Would absolutely recommend. The Water quit working we called maintenance. They were there in minutes.... but naturally it came back on before they arrived. They gave us good places to eat & different ideas of things to do as well.
Thank you ♡
House has potential
Recently stayed In Late March with kids 9 and 13 and husband. House was plenty big, had all the supplies we needed. The realty company was great with pre-shopping arrangements, checking us in and out.
My real complaint is that this house needs major TLC. It definately looks like a rental. There is artwork missing off the walls and just nails showing. The couch is pretty much broken and the outside by the pool will cut your feet if you do not have on shoes from loose stone. There is an amazing view on the rooftop but there is nowhere to sit. 4 plastic cheap chairs with no cushions.
On the plus side the pool was awesome, neighbors awesome, and beds super comfy. Super convenient to north and south parts of island. Safe.
We would love love love this place if it had a small face lift.
We just received your comments and are so sorry your stay wasn’t perfect. We take great pride in the condition of our home and we appreciate your comments.
We immediately had the small tear in sofa repaired. It’s now good as new. These things happen when you have so many guests and again, we appreciate that you pointed it out! We never thought of putting cushions upstairs on the roof chairs but will be glad to do that. We keep the newer nicer chairs with full length cushions on the pool patio since most guest spend most of their time there. There are also custom cushions on the benches of the Palapa on the roof! (Thanks for the tip and good idea!)
The cracked tile and missing art prompted us to come down to see the house. We did find some loose tile by the pool area fence and it will be resealed immediately. The missing art is a mystery. It’s all here. We are very proud of our collection, much that was donated from a former collector of native Mexican artisan pieces. We also have regional pottery displayed, and customized photography of the island taken by our family.
Everything is in it’s place and our management company says they didn’t remove it or change it at any time. This will one for the mystery books and if your decide to stay with us again please know everything is in top shape!

Beautiful ocean view and sound of the waves!
Pool was cold! Had cold showers all week long! Beds very comfortable!!! No comfortable seating sofa falling apart....difficulty reaching management for additional drinking water!
Diane and I are so sorry that your stay wasn't ideal. We have looked very closely at these comments and wanted to let you know that some of this is possibly a simple miscommunication! The sleeper sofa has been recently replaced and is less that 6 months old! We were there at our home in late February (post your stay) and found a small tear in the new upholstery that is being repaired! Other than that, it was fine and used without issue by our guests. The pool is a natural water pool and henceforth doesn't have an electric heating mechanism. Being in Mexico and on a Caribbean Island, the temperatures are usually pretty darn warm and we've never had weather chilly enough to have a need to heat the water. Also, the house is equipped with a local cell phone with clear instructions on how to contact our island management team. We use Mundaca Management because of their impeccable reputation of caring for our guests and home. We just sent them to examine the phone (and sofa) and found it in perfect working order. Please next time feel free to call them on this phone and they will be there quickly. As far as the lack of hot water, we're baffled. Again, we were there right after your stay and had no issues and we've sent the management team to examine and said that (as of now) the hot water is functioning well. They want you to know that If they had received a call, they would have been there very quickly to assist. We feel terrible that your visit to the island wasn't perfect. If you review our history, we've never received a less then perfect report card and we've looked very closely at the items that you brought to our attention. On behalf of Diane and myself and our excellent Mundaca management team, please let us know what we can do to restore your positive confidence in Casa Vidrio De Mar and Isla Mujeres!

A lovely home on a beautiful island.
We loved our stay at Casa Vidrio de Mar. It is a beautiful house in a great location. There is always a lovely breeze off the Caribbean, perfect for enjoying the patio. For beach-combers, it’s a short walk to the beach areas to collect shells and sea glass. Seamless checking in and out. I would definitely stay here again.
Best stay ever
It was perfect, I brought my business partner and his family and everyone loved it!!
