Little piece of paradise

A little out of the way, but a whole lot of beautiful! The garden and the flowing river on the property are nothing short of spectacular!

Thank you for the lovely review. We are a bit away from town, 10 minutes. That's intentional. That is where the best gardens and creeks flourish and it is so very quiet away from the maddening crowds. not that Boquete is that crowded, haha.

Excellent place to vacation and relax

Great please, wonderful location and very fresh for relaxing. The house have everything for a family trip. The only think is the wifi don’t have a good coverage in all the house.

A Perfect Place

This is an amazing place to stay. The unit is perfectly set up and very homey and super clean throughout. Great sitting areas, the gardens reflect the careful attention of the owners, who are some of the most gracious and helpful people we have had the pleasure to come to know. One cannot go wrong here!

Amazing Retreat

fantastic - highly recommend

The hacienda was even better than expected. It is huge (2 bed 2 bath) with all the comforts and conveniences. The location is beautifully cared for and lush and tropical, with several (like 4!) places to just relax, hang out, listen to the birds and enjoy the sun or shade. It truly is a magical place, and Ciella and Quincy are charming, warm and friendly. Don't miss the Hacienda!

Up in the Jungle

The Hacienda was difficult to find at first and is a steep windy road up the Mountain. However once you find it it is easy to get back. The Hacienda was lovely and well equipped. It has beautiful grounds and pathways. Definitely would go back if ever in Boquete.

We’re so happy that you enjoyed your stay here. Our combined goal is to create an atmosphere where folks can enjoy the natural beauty and access some peace and harmony while they are here. Our location on the Jaramillo Mountain creates the ideal place for this even though it can be and interesting drive the first time. That’s why we send explicit written directions along with photos. We are located on google maps and waze. We host over 200 families each year. Many return year after year. We certainly hope you are one of them.

Best Place to Stay in Boquete

The three of us (3 adults) had a great stay at The Hacienda. The apartment was cozy and had plenty of space. The grounds were absolutely amazing. You can tell the owners take a lot of pride in their gardens. And we can't say enough about Ciella and Quincy and how good they were to us. They offered to meet us in town and take us up to their place when we arrived in Boquete. They also helped with arranging transportation for us the first day we were there. We did end up renting a car which we would recommend because it is a bit of a drive from town to The Hacienda, but all worth it because there are lovely views from their property. Highly recommend The Hacienda. Thank you Ciella and Quincy!

A heavenly stay in a garden paradise in the mountains.

There is so much to enjoy in a stay at the Garden Apartment at the Hacienda. Besides the clean, comfortable, inspiring and inventively decorated two bedroom, two bathroom home with everything you could need. There are beautiful grounds, and relaxing outdoor lounging and sitting areas all around. Including in a delightful nature path that takes you through the many gardens and jungle flora and fauna on the property. You will be in a state of pure awe experiencing all the beautiful birds, butterflies, and other wonders of nature that inhabit these well cared for grounds. All the shopping, dining, sites, and action of Downtown Boquete is only a short ride down the mountain. Which can be pleasant if you have experience in mountain driving. If not, you will get used to it quickly. We couldn't possibly give the Hacienda, and it's owner's, Ciella and Quincy, enough praise! Just treat yourself to stay in a tropical Garden Paradise, and book a stay at the Garden Apartment at the Hacienda, and commune with nature.

Wonderful, friendly welcoming from host. They were very responsive and helpful. Because this place is high up in the mountain, it can be hard to get a cab to come pick you up at 8:30 to go into town. Best to perhaps prearrange a trusted cab for your ride. Not knowing this (and we arrived late into town via shuttle), we didn’t have enough food for our teenage son. When I asked host how we can get into town to feed our “starving” teenager, they let us know it’s hard to do so in the evening, but then immediately brought us a bunch of their food for him! That was an incredibly generous gesture! Thank-you for being so thoughtful!! All that said, it’s a 20 minute steep but doable walk down to the bottom and maybe 10 minutes more depending on your fitness level climbing back up. Well worth walking! Their cab drivers were wonderful. The place was perfect for us and we felt right at home. Good selection of spices for cooking. The grounds are stunning! They put a lot of time and effort into their place and it shows. Lots of places to sit, relax and enjoy your surroundings. There’s a tiny grocery store an easy walk away and a restaurant as well if it’s open. The area is very peaceful and quiet and we felt totally safe (even as a woman walking down the mountain alone). Lots of friendly locals greeting you while walking. I would highly recommend staying here and wouldn’t hesitate to return. Thanks for making our stay so enjoyable.

A slice of heaven!!!

A few years ago I came across this gorgeous property while searching VRBO. I saved it on my “favorites” and hoped that some day I’d stay in this home. Well this year that wish became a reality. My husband, our two children ages 9 & 12, and my sister had the privilege of staying at the Hacienda. Ciella has great attention to detail and is a wonderful host. She picked us up from the bus station in Boquete and gave us great references for local taxi drivers. Ariel is more than a driver, he is full of stories and history about Boquete. Ciella provided a delicious and healthy breakfast that satisfied even the pickiest eaters among us. The garden area is a wonderful retreat in itself. Our children loved spending time exploring and playing in the meandering trails. It rained during our stay in Boquete, but this was not a problem. The Hacienda is the type of house that you welcome the opportunity to just stay in, relax, and be grateful for the peace and beauty of this magical place. Truly a slice of heaven and we are so thankful that Ciella shared the Hacienda with our family. Our children even said it’s one of the best homes we’ve stayed in and gave it their highest rating.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hacienda house for the month of June. It is a beautiful property with extensive tropical gardens to explore and several sitting areas to enjoy being outside, whatever the weather. We saw fireflies every evening, and birds all day long. Gorgeous!The location in the hills above Bajo Boquete was cool and breezy, a little wetter than some other locations, which suited us well. We were glad to have a capable vehicle to get up the hill. (Not a location to walk into town, though taxis would work fine.)Quincy and Ciella were friendly, helpful and attentive to every need that arose, and a pleasure to talk with when we crossed paths. The weekly cleaning was effective and unobtrusive. With a full kitchen, we could settle in to cooking many of our own meals. The floorplan is well laid out for privacy and time together. The second bedroom has a sitting area of its own. We enjoyed this as a haven to retreat to between adventures, as well as a place to just unwind and relax. Can't recommend enough!

Beautiful hacienda perched on a hill

The road up and down to town was daunting the first few trips, but the fresh air, lush gardens, and spectacular views made it worthwhile. The apartment was very comfortable for 2 couples, though I was a single with a couple. There IS a sink coming for the kitchenette, which will make a big improvement. Hosts were welcoming and helpful. Great sleep with the rain and rushing creek!

Hacienda in Paradise

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hacienda in Boquete. The grounds and views of the area were spectacular. The beds were comfortable and our hosts, Nancy and Mike, we’re lovely. They shared their impressions of the area with us and helped us feel right at home. The only downside during our stay was we had no real kitchen with a sink. We would have liked to cook more since we were there for a week. As I understand it, the owners are planning to upgrade the kitchen. I highly recommend the Hacienda!

Wunderschöne Lage, traumhafter Garten

Wunderschöne Unterkunft mit traumhaftem Garten. Frühstück gibt es wohl nicht mehr, da muss man sich kümmern. Was aber für uns kein Problem war. Die Gastgeber sind super freundlich, alles war perfekt.

Could have easily stayed longer

What a beautiful place. Well worth it to be just out of Boquete. The sunsets and star-filled skies were breathtaking. The accommodations were fantastic, comfortable, clean and more than amply stocked with so many little extras to make you feel at home. The owners are fantastic. I'd most certainly stay again.

Fabulous Stay!

We all enjoyed this little haven away from the bustle of town. Ciella was the perfect hostess - she fixed lovely breakfasts and gave us great suggestions as to things to do! Would highly recommend this great place to stay in Boquete! Just remember to pack some warm clothes for the clime in January! We were a little chilly!

Wonderful hosts and a beautiful property! Great breakfast each morning!

Best place in Boquete

A friend and I stayed for 3 days at the Hacienda and really loved it. Quincy and Ciella provided us with delicious breakfast and activities suggestions for the day. Walking through the property is a little adventure on its own and you can find new hidden treasures every time. We also enjoyed very much to sit on the terrace with a glass of wine in the evening and watch the breeding hummingbird. Boquete is a beautiful place and the Hacienda is the perfect base camp to explore it.

Loved the property, owners, and breakfast was delicious

John and I stayed with Ciella and Quincy at their wonderful Hacienda. Quincy was so helpful with dinner ideas, we just had dinner after Ciella's very filling breakfast! He also helped us find the best bird guide, Cesar at Finca Lireda, and other great excursions! And Ciella shared so much of their love for Boquette, how they juggle family back home and running a business! We are seriously considering a longer visit to this lovely town! Thank you both !!

PERFECT FOR US - THANK YOU QUINCY & CEILLA!!

Four of us stayed at La Hacienda for five nights during the Annual Jazz & Blues Festival. Ceilla & Quincy were very welcoming and provided perfect directions and area information. The breakfast each morning was superb – lots of fruit, delicious egg dishes, yogurt with muffins and wonderful jams and terrific French press coffee. The Villa with all the outdoor living areas is charming and exactly as shown in photos. The road up is an adventure but worth it to a beautiful setting. The perfect place to wind up our long days with some great wine. Highly recommend and we plan to be back.

4 senior citizens.

Our stay at La Hacienda was very relaxing and the owners could not have been more accommodating and helpful with suggestions for our time in Boquete. The breakfast each morning was super and served when ever we wanted it. Fresh fruit was wonderful and the hot egg dishes, perfect. We had a rental car so were able to drive into town for all it has to offer. It was probably our favorite town in all of Panama. The villa itself was beautifully decorated and had everything we could have wanted including hot water. The only reason we would not give this property a 5 star is the location. Without a car, the walk into town was impossible for us. The walking trails through the beautiful flower and fruit gardens were steep and not what we expected. That said, we are 4 persons in our 70s, so our needs are different from people who enjoy hiking. I am sure others would enjoy the walk into town. I would fly back to Panama over a long weekend, just to have the fish tacos at Big Daddy's.

Thank you very much for your kind remarks. We appreciate hearing them and also take into consideration areas where we can improve. Everyone perceives thing differently. We have had many folks who are well into their senior years that do not rent cars, explore the entire property and walk the pathway to town. We caution everyone about the uneven, Panamanian style stairway (the short cut) before they venture to town... and it might not be everyone's cup of tea but that is why we give our clients local cell phones and a list of taxi drivers. Even without walking down to the streambed, there are areas to enjoy the garden from a variety of terraces set up for optimum bird watching, chatting and relaxing.
