Fully remodeled recently, 2 bedroom 1 bathroom charming cabin. Surrounded by Tahoe National Forest. Sleeps 4 to 6. Large fireplace and large deck. Fully updated with new roof, floors, kitchen, bathroom, windows, etc. A gem for families, honeymooners and friends.

Hiking, biking, skiing, swimming all just less then 1 mile away from the lake.

Boat, RV parking on premise as well.

Cabin has 1 bedroom with Queen bed, sleeping loft with a Queen and two twin beds. Kitchen fully updated with new appliances, dishwasher, stove, Micro, fridge etc. Kitchen equipped for a cook, new Quaartz countertops, cabinets and all new dishware, cutlery, etc.

Washer/dryer below in storage area.

Large deck on first floor, seating area below deck as well. TV has Apple TV, Neflix, etc; wireless internet via DSL. Upstairs TV has HDMI connection. Leather sofas recline; furnishings are hunting/fishing themed.

Not handicapped accessible, the living area is on the first floor, and stairs up to sleeping loft.

We live in Loomis, bought the cabin from a family member who built it 50 years ago. Having stayed there for numerous family events over the years we are happy to keep it in the family and re-did it top to bottom.

Clean, convenient location, perfect outdoorsy setting!

The location was great for going to the lake and to Squaw Valley for the WinterWonderGrass Fest. The cabin was just as described and provided everything we needed. Plenty of room for us and even better that I could bring my 4 legged friend along. The owner even accommodated and allowed for us to check in early the day we arrived. Would definitely recommended this place and will take into consideration coming back in the summer.

Very nice, comfortable and clean cabin

The place was perfect for our 4 person group. All the snow did make things a bit challenging but that was the case for everyone. The beds were comfortable and kitchen was well equipped. The owner was very helpful and responsive. Would definitely stay again.

Great location for a long weekend in Lake Tahoe

My husband and I spent 4 days in Lake Tahoe the first weekend in February for a ski trip. The location of the cabin was perfect...it's down the street from Homewood or about 15-20 minutes from Squaw/Alpine, and is nestled back in the neighborhoods so you can enjoy quiet and solitude after a long day. You are a little less than a 10-minute drive to Tahoe City, but there also is a great Deli & Market down the street and Sunnyside is about 5 minutes away.

The pictures for the post don't do this place justice. The cabin is clean, cozy, and has a fully stocked kitchen and bathroom. We felt right at home throughout the weekend. It's a perfect space for 2-4 people, but may get a bit cramped with 6.

A few things to note if you're planning on staying here: You WILL need 4X4 drive. The road and driveway are steep and with record snowfalls, you are climbing through wet, narrow, and icy roads. Also, it takes a bit of time for the cabin to heat up, but when it does, it stays nice & toasty. Turn the heat on, go grab dinner, and come back after a couple hours. And lastly, it would be helpful to have a real snow shovel and not a garden shovel to clear the steps and main entrance. Tahoe is getting snow almost every day and the only entrance is becoming inaccessible. By the time we left, it was about a 3-foot step up onto a snowbank. A snow shovel would have come in handy to carve out a path.

Overall, we had a great time at the cabin and would definitely recommend staying here. The owners supply you with everything you need as well as a written overview of the house, which was definitely helpful. They were responsive and reachable throughout our entire trip. Thank you!

Owner's Response: Hello, Glad that you enjoyed your stay. There is a tradeoff for the privacy that the cabin offers in the driveway up the hill, and this year that has been a challenge in the record snowfalls. While we do have a service that plows the driveway, and a service that clears the stairs and deck, with the amount of snow this year it has been a challenge keeping up. Unfortunately, there are actually three snow shovels and a snow pusher lined up at the top and bottom of the stairs--we will not be able to find them this year until Spring snow melt....the garden shovel was an improvisation.... Great Cabin, nicely stocked kitchen

We stayed here for Christmas holiday to New Years. We skied every day at Squaw Valley. This house was better than I expected and we would consider renting it again int he future. The owners seem like good people and their personality shows in the place.

Pros:

Nice separation of bedrooms, lots of beds in lofts. 1 queen, 2 twins.

House is well stocked with pantry items, towels, toiletries. We brought a bunch with us and ended up leaving a lot extra for future renters.

Kitchen is very well equipped. We travel as a family and we love to cook. The kitchen has all the gear we could ask for to cook everything.

Nice open layout, small space but comfortable.

Nice bathroom, no tub, but the heated ceiling light is a nice touch.

Nice fireplace, easy to use and well supplied firewood.

Nice ambiance, we liked the kitchy decor, and the high ceilings.

Cons:

1 Bathroom, we knew this going in so it didn't bother us. It's very cold though without the bathroom heater on.

Heat system is individual electric heaters. Not the easiest to use (It blows hot air in a single spot).

Stairs and driveway were very icey when we were there and no salt or dirt around.

House is on a steep corner, very difficult to get up and to on snowy, icey conditions. Recommend approaching from Timberline to Quail Lane road.

Laundry is not the easiest to do but manageable.

Overall, the cons do not at all detract for my appreciation and fondness of this place, especially for the reasonable price the owner asks for. I would recommend this place anytime and plan on visiting again if needed (I often stay in the base village at Squaw). Our thanks to the owner for a nice experience. Hopefully we can visit your central american property in the future too :)

I don't know if you were aware of the heaters under the window downstairs, but we are all electric so it takes a moment to heat up. This is our third year, second winter, in the rental business and we underestimated the snow..the shovels and dirt that we had for stairs, etc. were buried in the first snowfall and now we know what to do better. We have also engaged a snow digging service as well as the snow plow for larger snowfalls..Hope to see you again.

Cozy and comfortable, close to Squaw and Alpine Meadows

Our family enjoyed the condo. We had all the needed amenities and the kitchen was amazingly stocked. Close to Tahoe City downtown and the lake. We really enjoyed the accommodations despite the blizzard and avalanche snow conditions.

Amazing cabin in a great location!

Came here with my boyfriend for a nice weekend away. Owners were very thorough, making it very easy to get settled quickly. The cabin was incredibly clean and well stocked. We made a lovely dinner in the kitchen and panicked when we realized we forget a few key ingredients -- but the pantry was so stocked it had the missing ingredients! Lastly, you can't beat this location. Less than a 5 min drive to Tahoe city, took us less than 15 to get to Squaw and Homewood is right nextdoor. Will definitely be staying here again!
