Hi, we have spent the last 2 years enjoying this spacious condo that is ideally situated in one of the most picturesque spots on the island. The resort offers great customer service and features a large pool, hot tub and private white sand beach. When you are there you literally feel like you are on the edge of the planet, it is a very special place with great owners and a wonderful caring board of directors.
Lisa Franklin purchased this condo in 2014
Turks and Caicos is a lovely island to visit, I can recommend day trip, reduced car rental companies, and quaint spots to visit during your trip, I have visited the island many times and throughly enjoy the many things to explore, You can snorkel right at the beach if you go out 100 yards, we love to seem with nemo and the gang every time we go, The peace and quiet and the hot tub at night is wonderful, You feel like you have the entire place to yourself !
It is situated beside a national marine park, it is very private, exclusive and is ideal for couples, families that would like to reunite and small groups. The staff are lovely very personable, you will enjoy the condo it is very clean, spacious and provides all of the amenities to make your stay enjoyable, You also have access to an outdoor grill to prepare meals on site. I can recommend reduced fees for day trips and car rentals.
We booked Lisa's Condo for a last minute trip with the kids (ages 9,11) before school starts and boy are we glad we did. Staying at NWP (Northwest Point Resort) was exactly what were hoping for: a quiet, relaxing vacation away from the crowds of people. You definitely need a car to stay here but it is so worth it (if you want to check out some other nearby beaches rent a better car than the economy as the roads nearby are very rough). We brought with us a suitcase of dry food and went to the grocery store by the airport to stock us with everything we needed to eat breakfast and lunch everyday. For dinners, we would splurge and check out some of Lisa's excellent restaurant recommendations.
Lisa was a great hostess and responds to messages in a timely manner. The management team (Charles and Marilyn) were great too. We highly recommend this rental if you want to get away from it all and soak up the caribbean vibe.
We spent 2 weeks in Lisa's Condo in July 2016 with my wife and I and our 2 teenagers. It was the PERFECT place for us. We were out at the end of the Island and it was quite and calm and we had miles of the most perfect white sand beaches all to ourselves, but we could also hop in our jeep anytime and explore and be right by the shopping, restaurants and bars in 10-15 minutes.
You will need a car to explore, which we did a LOT, but of all the snorkeling and diving we did all over the Island, Malcom Bay beach, which was 5 minutes away by car was the best of them all. It truly was like being on a deserted island with perfect white sand beaches, and quite and wonderful diving on beautiful corral but with the added value of an IGA supermarket where everyone spoke English and used US currency just 15 minutes by ca away. It was both Exciting and Safe.
The unit was VERY spacious and quite and the staff was extremely nice and helpful in everything we asked for. The bar/grill at the resort was top notch, but we actually loved being able to buy our food at the supermarket and easily cook and grill whatever we wanted at the Condo. We saved a TON of money cooking most of our own meals. The very large fridge was great too as it was hot and we had lots of soda, juice and Gatorade from the market.
If I really look REALLY hard for something that wasn't PERFECT, I would have to say that the Internet "in" the condo was iffy and slow. BUT, if you just stepped over by the very nice LARGE pool, then it was great.
The resort and the CONDO were SPOTTLESS and extremely well cared for! It was also the safest place we have ever stayed. We started out locking everything all of the time, but after 2 weeks we were leaving the car unlocked, the windows down and the condo unlocked all day. Never came close to having a problem at all.
We usually don't got to the same location we have already visited but prefer to seek out new adventures. That won't be the case with the TCI, Provo, and this Condo. We will return again soon. Both Kids agree (and that is a miracle at our house) this was the best vacation we have every had and they had just spend last Christmas in Maui. This was 10 times better!
When we arrived at the resort, it was everything we expected. We wanted to stay at a quieter location away from all of the main resorts at Grace Bay. The property itself is very well kept, clean, and simply beautiful overlooking the private beach. The pool is between both of the buildings, a great location, and the perfect temperature, day or night. The beach was wonderful as well. Plenty of chairs, covered umbrellas, kayaks to use, and lots of areas to swim and snorkel.
Our condo/unit that we rented from Lisa was everything the pictures showed. We had a first floor unit and our covered porch was the perfect spot to see the sunrise and get some shade on those days when you need a break from the sun for a few hours but still want to be outside. Having our own kitchen, living room, washer/dryer made our vacation wonderful. We rented a 2 bedroom unit from her (we brought our 6 year old daughter) and each one had its own bathroom- a bonus for sure! The unit was clean and had what you needed to have a comfortable, relaxing stay.
The staff at the resort is THE BEST. Kim (guest services), Eddy (restaurant chef and bartender), Samantha (bartender), and Charles (property manager and all around amazing man) are wonderfully helpful, friendly, kind, and always willing to give tips or just talk. To say they made us feel right at home is not saying enough. They are truly appreciated by all and care about every guest and/or owner of the units.
I would highly recommend staying at the resort for a family vacation or a couples get away. We had to rent a car to get around the island, but we didn't mind the short drives and being able to escape the busier end of the island whenever we wanted knowing we would be back in our little slice of quieter paradise.
Working with Lisa, the owner of the unit, was also a very pleasant and easy experience. She answered all of our questions before booking the unit, responded quickly to any messages I sent, and gave us quite a few tips and suggestions for our stay. I appreciated all of her efforts and I would rent from her again.
Our vacation time was FABULOUS! The resort staff are very nice and attentive and are willing to help with any of the needs that we had. Kim and Charles went out of their way to make sure we had a wonderful time and did not need anything. The cook at the resort, Eddie makes the best conch fritters and chowder on the island! The accommodations and beach were absolutely beautiful!
We stayed here the first week of January and it was wonderful. The condo was very clean and the property was lovely. The "resort" is off the beaten path which was great for us; however, a rental car is a must. There were times when we were the only ones at the pool and/or the beach. There are several umbrellas on the beach and we never had an issue getting one. The site indicates there are kayaks and snorkeling equipment. There were kayaks available for use at any time but there was no snorkeling equipment so we rented some from one of the dive shops. The snorkeling off the beach was okay but definitely do some snorkeling at Grace Bay while you are there. We also went on a snorkeling excursion which is a must and we went on a kayak excursion through the mangroves and went over to Iguana Island which was fun. Internet was spotty at the condo but we could get it by the pool. There was a "restaurant" at the resort but the hours are very limited. Check on the hours before you show up for dinner. We showed up after they closed and the chef kindly reopened for us but they must set their hours according to how many people are staying there. If you are planning on cooking while you are there take lots of non perishables. The groceries were very expensive. We used the kitchen a lot and it had everything we needed but there are no staples in the pantry. We did appreciate that they provided fresh towels whenever we asked. My only complaint was that there was no radio or CD player so there was no way to play music. Lisa was very responsive and easy to work with. We would definitely stay there again.
Our family just returned from an 8 day trip to Turks and Caicos. Our condo was beautiful and well appointed. It has everything you could need. It was nice to have a kitchen, so we didn't have to eat every meal out. There is a bbq grill and we used it one night for hamburgers. The pictures online do not do truly show the real beauty of this place. It is a hidden gem. Lisa the owner was very easy to work with and very accommodating. We checked in with Kim in the office and she was very helpful and gave us great recommendations for food and fun. If you're thinking about going...stop thinking and do it. You won't regret it. This island has the most friendly people that we've ever encountered on a vacation.
