It’s less than a 10-minute walk to Wawel—the hill and castle that once served as the seat of the kings of Poland. The area offers many attractions worth visiting, including the Royal Castle—which today serves as a museum and cultural center—Wawel Cathedral—a Gothic architectural gem and the site of royal coronations—and Smocza Jama, located at the foot of the Castle. Wolnica Square in Kraków’s Kazimierz district is located just 0.5 km from the building, where you can visit the historic Kazimierz Town Hall and the Seweryn Udziela Ethnographic Museum, which houses Poland’s oldest ethnographic collection. The Main Market Square is less than a 15-minute drive from the studio. When visiting, be sure to check out one of Kraków’s symbols—the Cloth Hall, the central building of the Market Square, whose basement houses a branch of the Historical Museum of the City of Kraków, commonly known as the Market Square Underground. You’ll also find the Town Hall Tower here—a Gothic-style building and the only remnant of the former city hall—as well as St. Mary’s Basilica, a historic parish church with two towers, one taller and one shorter, whose architecture is truly stunning. Inside stands the largest Gothic altar in Europe—the Altar of Veit Stoss.
