Perfect For Small Family Or Couples, Honeymoon, Baby-Moon !
Experience Lake Michigan the way it used to be! Lovingly restored 1930s beachfront cottage, located in a quiet residential area. The cottage sits on a wooded double lot nestled on a dune facing Lake Michigan. There is a private stairway leading to nearly 200 feet of private beach.
Just 6 miles south of Grand Haven but a world away. Wake up to the sound of birds and sip coffee while watching boats sail by, enjoy sunset dining in the comfort of the screened in porch or on the outside patio deck, then fall asleep to the sound of the waves.
The Cottage offers free Wi-Fi, a newly renovated kitchen with a grind and brew coffee maker, stove, microwave, refrigerator, and pantry area.
Dining area features banquette seating. A charming antique walnut table is perfect for family meals or a game of Scrabble.
Sleeps 4 comfortably. There is 1 bedroom with a double bed and a sofa in the living room that converts to a queen-size bed. A pack-and-play is available upon request.
The cabin includes a bathroom with a shower stall. There is also an outdoor shower, with tempered water, adjacent to the outside deck, ideal for rinsing off before entering the cottage.
Gas BBQ grill on the outside deck allows for grilling. Savor the great Lake view and one-of-a-kind sunsets as you dine at the picnic table.
Escape from the hustle-bustle of everyday life. Disconnect from technology and reconnect with your family, friends, or yourself. Take long walks on the beach, enjoy the water, build sand castles, bring bikes to ride along the trails. On rainy days, watch the storm blow across the lake, be amazed by the lightning show or take the opportunity to play board games, read or explore nearby Grand Haven. At night, appreciate the thousands of stars in the sky or take advantage of the community's fire pits.
For other recreation, Kirk Park is 1/2 mile away with nice hikes and Pigeon Lake is a few miles south for putting in boats and/or kayaks. These are easily accessed via the bike trails that run directly in front of the entrance to our neighborhood.
We believe you'll fall in love with the place and look forward to it being your getaway place at Lake Michigan.

Why Jason Miller chose Port Sheldon Township
This cottage was purchased by my grandfather upon his return from WWII in the 1940's. It is still in our family and several generations have enjoyed making memories here. We treat it gently and with love, and ask you to do the same.

Beautiful cottage! Loved our stay.
We spent three nights here on a couple's getaway. The cottage is beautifully decorated and very well kept. I especially loved the sun porch, which is the perfect place to relax with a cup of coffee and listen to the waves.
Just what we expected
Just what we expected, relaxing, and great views of lake michigan. We hope to return one day! Owners were great!
I just came back from my fourth visit in 3 years. Love it.
Quiet, peaceful, tranquil. Right on Lake Michigan.
the miller cabin does not disappoint. We enjoyed comfortable accommodations and privacy with splendid views and sounds of the lake. Walks on the beach, floating in the lake, soaking up sun on the shore, fires on the deck, magnificent sunsets all helped to wash away the stress of daily life.
Jason, as always, is responsive and helpful.
Extremely clean and beautiful!
The views were amazing! The cottage was so clean and quiet. There's plenty of woods surrounding the cottage to tuck you away from the rest of the world!! We had fun in Grand Haven, but truthfully enjoyed the cottage so much that it was hard to leave it to do other activities!! Jason was extremely wonderful through out the entire experience-truly felt like we were staying at our friend's place!! We all can't wait to come back!!!
This place was the best! Beautifully decorated, nice amount of underbed storage for clothes and a deep closet to keep our suitcases and things out of the way. The view was as good as it gets really...spent a lot of time on the front porch just enjoying the view of the lake and wonderous sunsets. The private beach area was under water so we walked a very short distance to 2 other beach access areas and it was fine. It is a small cottage, but for the 3 of us (husband, 9 year old and myself) it was just perfect. We would definately consider this cottage again when planning our next vacation at Michigan. Thanks Jason and Anne for sharing your family cottage with us!
