Kanaloa at Kona is managed by Castle Resorts. Kanaloa was one of two resorts in Hawaii to receive an award recognizing excellence in providing guests with an exceptional travel and lodging experience.

This spacious unit has two bedrooms and two baths on the main floor and a third bedroom, bathroom and sitting area in the loft and is large enough to accommodate 6 people in comfort and privacy. We recently upgraded the AC in the condo and have decided to include this service for your comfort and convenience. From the spacious main lanai you can enjoy your morning coffee or afternoon cocktails in a park-like setting with views of the Kona Country Club Ocean Course 11th Fairway. Well furnished with a fully equipped kitchen, this unit is the perfect vacation home.

The Master Bedroom has a comfortable King size bed and offers a separate lanai overlooking the garden area. The second bedroom on the main floor has two twins which may be converted into a King if desired. The third bedroom in the loft has two twin beds and offers a private bath and a sitting area. Kanaloa at Kona has three pools, one of which is oceanfront, three hot tubs, two tennis courts, numerous shared grill/BBQs, and parking included.

Keauhou Bay is within walking distance and is well known for kayak, canoe and paddle boarding; checkout both the Keauhou Canoe Club and Ocean Safaris (rentals and adventure tours). Snorkel, dive and fishing boats also leave from here. There is also a comfy park with restrooms, pebble beach and a sand volleyball court.

Kahalu`u Beach Park, also known as Turtle Beach or Snorkel Beach, is a mile and a half away and is hands down the best snorkel beach on The Big Island. Snorkel rental is available on-site along with showers, restrooms, picnic tables and beach area for relaxation and sunbathing.

Then, after a busy day of exploring the Big Island and its various activities and adventures, you can come home to all the comforts in a quiet, relaxing setting to plan your next adventure.

We own our condo/home with our son. We are Oregonians and enjoy wintering in Kona. Having lived on Kodiak Island, AK for 25 years we found ourselves missing the water and island life. This is a great alternative. We chose The Big Island because it is spread out and has a lot of different life styles and activities to choose from.

Why Bob and Ginni Sommerlot chose Kona Coast

We bought our unit in Kanaloa at Kona because the complex is quiet, very well maintained and safe. We also like the way the units are situated on the property giving the complex a comfortable, friendly feeling. We like fact that we are located by the water but are not subject to the noise of any nearby busy streets or highways. Our unit itself is on the second level and away from parking and traffic where it is quiet and private. We have enough room to share with family or friends. We have spent several years visiting different Hawaiian islands but found this was the place we enjoyed the most.

What makes this condo unique

We especially enjoy the front lanai. We start our day sitting here with our first cup of coffee. In fact, I think we've eaten all our meals out there! We recently upgraded the AC in the condo and are now including it for your comfort and convenience. The kitchen is designed so we can fix meals together if we so choose. It is well furnished with everything you need to prepare meals. The floor plan allows plenty of privacy for individuals, no matter how many guests are staying.

Great Location

This Condo is great for families. My two adult children were able to come on vacation with us. They each had their own bedroom and bathroom, and plenty of space for the family. The grounds are beautiful and the shopping center above offers restaurants and grocery store. If you are traveling in the warm months, be sure to arrange for air conditioning, it is worth the extra charge to be comfortable. The owners were great, very nice folks.

Very pleasant comfortable condo

This condo was very comfortable for our family of 5, allowing us to spread out a little and have more room than some of the other places we stayed in Hawaii. The owners were flexible and postponed a scheduled bug spraying the first day of our stay because we were hoping to sleep in a bit since we were exhausted from a busy day of sightseeing and traveling the day before. We didn't spend a lot of time here because there is a lot to see on the Big Island and we were trying to do it all in 4 days (impossible), but it was nice to have extras like beach towels and laundry detergent provided. The only small issue we noticed is that on our last day it got warm as we were packing up to leave. We wondered if the air conditioning had already been turned off/down in anticipation of our leaving although we left an hour earlier than the required check out.

Perfect quiet and family friendly condo

We loved staying here with our toddler. Plenty of space and the property is lovely. We especially loved having the choice between multiple swimming pools on the property that were easy walking distance from the condo. We spent a lot of time enjoying the patio balcony overlooking the golf course. This is a great place for a couple or family and we will definitely be back. Thanks for the lovely stay!

First Class! Perfect stay for all ages.

This condo is immaculate! The owners must stay there a large part of the year as it is better maintained than any VRBO I have used. The location is perfect for all ages. Lots of pools, tennis courts and grills on the grounds and walking distance to a great snorkel cruise. We'll be back!!

Excellent

So very much more than just a vacation property rental. Everything about the property made our 9 day stay (son, daughter-in-law, two granddaughters, from New Zealand and a grandfather from Washington DC ) very comfortable and very enjoyable. The condo appointments were very tasteful and accommodating for the whole family. Also, the comunity within which the condo is located is beautifully maintained and, with its pools, paths, BBQ setups and tropical garden environment made saying goodbye difficult.

We bought our condo at Kanaloa at Kona because of the way it was situated in the complex and that the complex itself is usually quiet. We are close to a great snorkel beach. We can walk or drive to the Sheraton or Sam Choy's for a nice meal with great views. We like the farmers market at the Sheraton parking lot. It is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays. There is also a market on Saturday at the shopping center. The shopping center offers anything you could ask for. Otherwise, though the island is large, any kind of activity is within driving distance.
