- Ten paces from your front door is the swimming pool, shared only with our family – larger than most private pools (12m x 6.5m) and with a large 'shallow end' which makes it especially suitable for anyone who is still learning to swim. The sun shines all day on the large paved pool area. If the heat is too much, you can retreat to the 'Japanese' pool shelter or a grassy spot under the olive tree. For eating outdoors, you have your own terrace deck and barbecue reserved for your exclusive use. All around you is a spacious and private 2000m2 garden area, mainly enclosed by old stone walls, bushes and trees. Nowhere are you overlooked by neighbours or passers-by – or indeed by ourselves. And there's no shortage of secure space to park the car.

Wonderful Hosts and Beautiful Accommodation
Mark and Flo could not have been more friendly and helpful and we enjoyed their company very much. Nothing was too much trouble and their help and advice on what to see in the area was fantastic.
The accommodation and facilities were perfect.
Overall one of the best holidays we have ever had in France in the last ten years, highly recommended.

This is a lovely studio with a great pool. The facilities were excellent. The hosts Florence and Mark could not do enough to welcome and help us during our stay.

This is a fabulous holiday destination. We stayed here with our 2 teenage children and were so impressed we have now had 3 holidays here. The word 'studio' cannot begin adequately to describe the magnificent accommodation, which was immaculate throughout, and the large pool is fabulous. The owners are enthusiastic and welcoming hosts, even baking a loaf for us when we were too late for the village shop! We found a good choice of shops, supermarkets and restaurants in the nearby market town of Sommieres. We enjoyed great days out in Nimes, Montpellier, and the seaside (about an hour's drive away, but well worth it). We cannot recommend this lovely property more highly.

Turn right at the gate, and you are just 500 metres from a most extraordinary view across the ancient quarry that is the venue for the celebrated Junas Jazz Festival, the Country Rock Festival and more – wooded garrigue all the way to the Pic St Loup and the sunset. People come here just to walk and cycle in this wild countryside.
There are many attractions beyond the village, and the location is in those terms hard to beat. Less than an hour to the huge sand beach of L'Espiguette, and less than an hour to the mountains and mountain river swimming. Take a kayak down the Gardon river and under the Roman aqueduct of Pont du Gard – surely the best way to see this extraordinary monument. Two very fine towns, Montpellier and Nimes, are each no more than three quarters of an hour distant. And just ten minutes away, you have the medieval gem that is our local town of Sommieres. You can eat there on any night, and market day on Saturday is an event that you should not to miss.
