About Vacasa, CA - Lake Tahoe Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Nice location and plenty of space for a family.

Everything was in working condition and relatively clean. This would be a wonderful cabin for winter! For-warning that there is no central air so you must close the curtains during the day and open the doors in the evening to cool down the rooms. We loved the stocked kitchen, bbq grill, hot tub and quiet area that was 15 mins walk to Kings Beach. We hated that there was no air conditioning but we were gone most of the day so it wasn't too too terrible. We stayed in August FYI.

wanderlust cabin - decent but some issues

  • 3 of 5

We stayed here for four nights in February. I'd call this place a decent value for money I guess. Some good some bad. We liked the fact that it was close to Kings beach and only 15 minutes away from Northstar which is where we skied. The place itself was OK. A bit worn with two of the couches in the main room should be put out to pasture. The bed upstairs was not that comfortable. Our kids stay downstairs in the bedrooms the first night but about froze even though the temperature upstairs was relatively comfortable. The remainder of the stay they ended up sleeping upstairs because it was so cold downstairs even Though it was 72 upstairs. We had an issue the second night where power went out in the afternoon and didn't come on till the following evening. Reached out to vacasa three times to The contact they provided - Todd- and got absolutely no response so they were worthless.

Beautiful Home

We stayed here during the winter. Very comfortable place. Loved the fireplace in the living room! Well stocked kitchen, plenty of dishes, silverware, etc. Would stay here again, maybe in summer next time because it is close to the lake!
