Camp Inches:

You will hear the Wild Meadow's babbling brook which runs the length of the property, while you take in the sights and sounds of nature. You'll have your very own private water hole and waterfall surrounded by a fully screened, lighted porch which overlooks the waterfall and swimming hole. This magical space allows you to enjoy the great outdoors from dusk to dawn! Want to "rough" it? A comfortable double futon is on the porch that can sleep a lucky 2, guaranteeing the most relaxing night's sleep you've ever had!

A large, open grassy field where you can play games, improve your chip shot or just relax by the stream. Take pleasure sitting under the stars around a roaring camp fire with your family and friends while you listen to the babbling brook.

I have an additional 9 acres of meadow land that's located across the road and available for your exploration and enjoyment! Cut trails will lead you to enjoy more of the Wild Meadows Brook and a sandy beach. Turkey, bear, moose and an abundance of other wild life thrive there, so stay sharp and bring binoculars for a closer view!

This is a treasured family property, handed down through 2 generations

What makes this house unique

I fell in love with Camp Inches because of it's rustic charm, unique layout and peaceful location. I am especially drawn to the proximity of the Wild Meadows Brook to our home. The waterfall into the swimming pool is unique and sets Camp Inches apart. Even with the windows closed, you can hear that river!! It's so soothing and relaxing. The 5 sliding glass doors bring the outdoors right in. I love to walk Wild Meadow (9 acres) with my standard poodle Abby. Most of it is open meadow and the brook abuts the length of that property too. You can explore the Wild Meadow Brook and find swimming holes and little sandy beaches to rest and sunbathe.

Truly the most relaxing getaway ever experienced!

  • 5 of 5

Completely fabulous experience, everything you hope and dream it could be. Then come to find out it's even more! And that's just being at Camp Inches, then you have the lakes & mountains within an hour away.

Clean, open, beautiful, inviting, and instantly makes you feel at home and say, "Wow, how are we so lucky?"

That brings us to Jody, the reviews you see her mentioned every time. Well my turn, Jody is a gracious, beautiful person! She is so generous to share this unbelievably tranquile, relaxing, part of her life experience with you. When she showed up to greet us I had few words and walked up to her with the biggest hug, how many people do you know can make you feel that comfortable and grateful to in the first minutes of meeting. Thank you so much for sharing your home, and making this one of our favorite memories in our life. We hope to be back soon!

So pack your clothes, toiletries, food, & maybe a pencil... that's the only thing we didn't find!

Camp Inches is a charming retreat hidden away in a corner of paradise!

  • 5 of 5

We just returned from a fantastic week at Camp Inches!

This was the most relaxing vacation we have ever had...walking in the stream behind the house, hiking through the woods across the street, playing bocce on the lawn, roasting marshmallows around the campfire, eating dinner outside on one of the many decks and curling up on the rocker reading while sipping a cup of hot chocolate in the quiet of the early morning.

Although we really didn't want to travel away from Camp Inches...it is a beautiful well-maintained spacious home that is full of places where you can sit and take in all the beauty that the property has to offer...we did go for a hike at Mount Cardigan and a swim at Newfound Lake. Both places were an easy drive from the property.

Jody was friendly and full of information about things to do in the area. We could tell how much she loves Camp Inches and has put a lot of time into caring for it. We were very comfortable there and had so much space with the many rooms. We especially loved sitting on the screened in back porch, overlooking the swimming hole and waterfall. Magnificent!!! The view from both inside and outside the house is incredible!

We're looking forward to future visits to Camp Inches!

Memorable Stay at Camp Inches

  • 5 of 5

Was looking for a quiet escape from the hectic pace. Camp Inches was exactly what I had imagined it to be. Tucked into the woods of Danbury NH, was an enchanting home sitting picturesquely on the banks of a rolling river. Clean and rustic interior with many amenities. Large yard with area for outdoor activities. Lots to do or not to do in this area of New Hampshire. Short ride to Newfound Lake where there is a beach for spending a leisurely day on a lake swimming or kayaking. Little town of Bristol had little shops and a few restaurants. Laconia was a bit of a further drive away with more variety but honestly would not feel the need to travel that far next time we stay. Camp Inches and the surrounding area had all we needed to make our vacation perfect.

I would be remiss if I did not mention the owner of Camp Inches Jody, from our first contact to our arrival, Jody was more than accommodating, all our concerns and questions were answered immediately, you can tell she is very passionate about what she does here at Camp Inches, and that is to extend her home for the pure enjoyment of others, what a gift.

Thank you for your gracious hospitality, we will be returning next season.

Perfect Get Away, Peaceful and Relaxing

  • 5 of 5

A warm and inviting home that is very well cared for by the owner, Jody. Very clean and comfortable with plenty of room for each of us to spread out. Surrounded by woods and a babbling brook, makes for an immediate relaxing state of mind. Just what we were looking for. Short drives to stores, Newfound Lake and Ragged Mountain made it easy to pick up provisions and explore the beautiful scenic area.Jody was quick to respond and was extremely helpful with local suggestions. We especially enjoyed the proximity of the stream right out side the home. We all agreed in recommending this home and would definitely return. Thank you Jody for sharing your lovely home, Camp Inches!
