We have lived in Coronado for the past 17 years, and are 4 blocks away.
We live in another home on the Island, and are close by if you need help with anything, but will not interfere with your privacy.
Frank purchased this apartment in 1999
Coronado is one of the most beautiful towns in the world. You are walking distance to everything: Beaches, nightlife, golfing, life plays, the movie theater, shopping and more!
The property has an extremely spacious back deck that is 24 feet by 24 feet. You will love having your breakfast on the deck in the morning sunshine under your shaded gazebo! You also have your own washer/dryer and a private entrance, which makes it ideal for longer stays.
I stayed here for almost three months while working at north island navy base and really enjoyed the location. I also brought my dog and how quiet the property and neighborhood in general was he even was relaxed as I was, and he is a relatively excitable dog. The property had everything you could possibly need available, I don't think I went out the entire time I lived there except to walk to the grocery store one block away. I enjoyed my stay here and if I were stationed in san Diego again I would definitely look to stay here again.
My husband and I stayed at Connie and Frank's lovely vacation rental during the month of March. It is walkable to everything, well stocked with anything you could need for the kitchen/grill, and they even included beach chairs which we used often! Connie was a DELIGHT to work with. Prompt responses to any and all questions, always cheerful, and she worked hard to make our stay there the best it could be. I can't recommend it highly enough! Also...a FANTASTIC price for the location and space!!
Very convenient location for local shopping, food and entertainment. We walked the entire island during our stay but public transportation was readily available for anyone who may need it. The owners provided us with enough supplies and information to make our stay enjoyable. We would certainly return in the future.
We stayed here while visiting my sister who is in the Navy in San Diego. It was perfect! The location really is ideal for someone who wants to be within walking distance to awesome places or just wants to be nearby. The place has a beach theme that is relaxed and inviting. The bathroom was recently beautifully redone and the whole place was very well maintained and clean. It's not a big place but it was nice not having to worry about hearing people outside our door like you do in hotels. Right behind it is a gorgeous patio area which was one of our favorite things about this place and had dinner outside a couple of nights.
As I mentioned it is not a very big place but it easily accommodated me, my husband and sister. Prior to booking it I asked if it would be ok for my sister to stay (we figured we'd just use a blow up mattress) and Connie was very honest about the size but said it would be ok for her to stay. Knowing that there would be a third guest she went and got a blow up mattress for us! I thought that was so kind! We didn't end up using it since we had other family in town that had an extra bed in their hotel but I was extremely thankful for Connie's honesty and helpfulness.
There was an Albertson's and small market store about a block or two away. We rented bikes that we kept in the patio (since it was enclosed and we were warned the #1 thing that is stolen in Coronado are bikes which makes sense because everyone uses them!) and would ride to the grocery store and grab things for breakfast. It was so much fun and amazing that we could do that. The whole town is very bike friendly and felt very safe. Not once did I feel insecure or scared. We rode our bikes on a trail by the pier which was awesome at night (something I highly recommend because it's breathtaking).
As for places to eat there are many within walking distance! My favorite breakfast place was Tartine. They serve an amazing croque monsieur and amazing pastries however they don't serve eggs(which I don't eat) so that was the negative for my husband. The Coronado brewery offers amazing food! My favorites were their mussels in Diablo sauce and buffalo tenders! Mouthwatering!
Some of our other faves were the market in Little Italy. It's only open on Saturdays but it is a must! Fresh produce, fruit, amazing food and flowers. There's also a coffee shop there called Caffe Italia that. I'm still dreaming about their hot chocolate and cookies! The Midway is a must too!!!
We stayed for the 4th of July week and found this cozy unit to be a perfect fit for my wife, 4yr old daughter and myself. Unit was clean, well stocked with necessary items, and had a comfortable bed. There is a great patio in backyard where we ate several meals or just relaxed in the perfect weather. There was room around the patio for our bicycles which we used to go all around the island. Bathroom was very clean and inviting with a large closet for our 8 nights of clothes. There are 3 rules in real estate; location, location, location this place has them all! Located near the bayside of beautiful Coronado island, located in walking distance to restaurants and entertainment, and located where it's not super busy and you can still get parking.
We would rent this unit again for our Coronado vacation!
I loved this place!!! I have already been recommending it to all of our friends. Connie is amazing to work with. She gets back to you promptly. She gave me lots of great information about the area.
The house was fully stocked. It was "cottage" themed. Very clean and neat! It had a gorgeous back patio that we truly enjoyed. It is right off of 3rd street so quick to base and downtown. Easy to find parking. Honestly we walked to almost everything.
Cannot say enough great things!!!
