Great cabin for family vacation

Excellent cabin for family vacation. Great amenities for kids and adults. The beach within walking distance is not really a beach, but a shoreline. Castle Rock Park beach which is 5 min drive is a perfect beach for all. Beds are very comfortable. Lovely place to get away from it all!

Great cabin!

We had a great time at the cabin. The pictures barely do it justice. Ursula was great to deal with and made check-in/check-out a breeze. The rustic cabin had all the amenities listed. We were able to rent a boat and dock it at The Dirty Turtle bar (7 minute drive) for $20. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

Beautiful home nestled in the woods

Beautiful house nestled in the woods fully stocked with everything you need. Listing is a bit misleading. It is not located on the lake and more of a walk than we expected. But overall, we loved our stay here. Everything was very clean, and the beds were very comfy.

Thank you so much for taking time and reviewing your visit with us. We're glad that you enjoyed your stay at our home Terri, and hope you choose to visit Castle Rock Lake again. I would like to clarify though one thing, as I'm not sure if there was some sort of misunderstanding. In the description, our home is listed as off-water with approx. 5 min. walking distance to the lake, not on water. I don't want to misinform or mislead our guests in any way shape or form. All the information regarding our home is available under the description, and we strongly encourage all of our guest to read the info. before booking. Thanks so much again for staying with us, and enjoy the rest of the summer. Ursula and Eric

Beautiful Place

We stayed here with a group of 8 adult friends. The place is so great! We enjoyed every morning having coffee on the huge deck. Ursula was so informative and helped with any questions we had. The house is stocked with EVERTHING you would need, we way over packed. One of the greatest parts, every single bedroom had a full bathroom either in it or right outside the door . Such a huge plus!

Nice property, but it isn’t on a lake like the listing says. It is off a subdivision road, and it is a considerable walk down to the water. You are secluded in trees so it has a private feel, but no lake views.

Beautiful home, has everything needed. Small beach 6 minute walk, 2 minute drive within community. Sandy, very gentle slope. Great for everyone. Other beaches, trails 5-15 minutes away. Wisconsin Dells 30 minutes away. Nice brewery in Mauston. Restaurants a bit spotty, but eatable. Ursula very responsive. VRBO went down shortly before we arrived and able to reach her quickly via cell to get in. Reached out a couple other times and always quickly responded.

Wonderful Vacation Home

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful cabin in the woods. It was scrupulously clean and beautifully decorated. The bedrooms are separated from each other, two with ensuites and the other 2 bedrooms had a beautiful bathroom located just outside each bedroom. There is also a wonderful loft where are 2 boys slept. The location is perfect with more things for the family to do than we had time for. The host was wonderful to work with. Everything was just as she told us it would be and she was available for help at any time if we would have needed it. We would give the highest recommendation of this cabin to anyone who is considering it.it.joutside the bedroom.

Memorable Thanksgiving

We celebrated with our family at this gorgeous cabin for Thanksgiving. It was incredibly beautiful and we had all that we needed to pull off an amazing meal for the holiday. Ursula, the owner, could not have been more accomodating with us throughout renting her property. It truly felt like she was part of the family who was sharing her beautiful cabin with us. Furthermore, she set out her own huge turkey platter, a baster, a meat thermometer and a beautiful bottle of wine when we arrived. Now that is outstanding and very thoughtful service! We will highly recommend this cabin to stay at. We all said, if you wanted a more quiet and cozy home away from home near Wisconsin Dells, this is the perfect place to rent!

Great Family Time

Beautiful log home, loved the layout with bedrooms on each end of the house on both the main level and lower, walkout level. 2 of the 4 bedrooms are ensuites, with all 4 bedrooms having access to their own bathroom and large closets, (3 walk-in)made our stay so comfortable. The additional sleep/lounge/loft area upstairs provides sleep/activity area for older kids or work/computer area for adults. Lower level is another couch/actvity/tv area, in addition to the bedrooms. A pantry space that was empty except for a few small appliances (crockpot, hand mixer, etc) made a great space to organize ALL of our snacks etc. The hosts were great with communication and followed thru with all follow up and communication. We made wonderful family memories on this multi family vacation. Thank you to Ursula and Eric.

Misrepresented & Worn Out

The pictures shown are old, and in no way represents what is correct now. The furniture and beds are old and worn out. The home was dirty, and we had to call the landlord when we first arrived. There was food in the sinks, hair and dirt on the stove, refrigerator was dirty, floors and windows were dirty. For the property we thought we leased vs what we received was a rip off and we never would have rented it. There should be a refund and Verbo visit the property and her ability to do this to other people!!

Kristina, Thank you for staying at our home, and we are sorry that it did not meet your standards. We appreciate your feedback; we take it very seriously. Myself and Eric take great pride in our home and strive to provide our guests with the best possible experience. We would never rent out our cabin in the condition you described. The pictures on our listing are current and they represent the home accurately. We continually work hard to update our home and find ways to improve our guest's experience. We are not new members of VRBO and this is reflected by our guest’s experiences over the years. We wish you the best in your future travels! Thank you, Ursula and Eric
