WE DO NOT RENT BY THE MONTH/SEASON IN THE WINTER!
Would definitely stay here again.
My daughter and I stayed at this cabin on the first ski weekend of the season. There was not much snow, so we had to walk to the lifts and back to the cabin. But, we knew that would happen so early in the season. The cabin was clean, well stocked and comfortable. The only thing missing was kitchen knives. The property manager was very helpful and attentive. He was available and answered his phone whenever we needed to call him. He even said that he'll be taking care of the knife problem. As other guests already said, there are lots of rules to this cabin, but it's what keeps it nice and clean for the next guests.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Copper Condo. Super cute, well furnished and great location. Everything was VERY neat and clean. The king bed and the sleeper sofa were also comfortable...noise was never an issue. We met the full-time resident that lives upstairs and he was kind and we never heard any noise...and we go to sleep early. Yes, there is a rule sheet to follow and it seems that helps maintain a comfortable, tidy vacation condo. Would absolutely stay there in the again! Owners were super friendly, responsive to emails and payment process couldn't have been easier.
We stayed with our two kids (11 and 14). There was generally enough room for the four of us. The kids slept on the pull out couch in the living room. That bed was very uncomfortable but they did fine once they pulled the mattress out onto the floor. It worked for them but was a bit of a pain in the neck to put away each morning. The king bed in the bedroom was pretty comfy. The condo itself was nice enough but did have a bit of a basementy feeling. The kitchen was adequate but had just the bare minimum for cooking. As mentioned in previous reviews, there were a lot of very specific rules but nothing that was not reasonable. I think maybe people were turned off by a lot of 'you must do this or that or else statements' but really the rules are just designed to keep the place nice. The management was responsive and was easy to work with. We texted Amy a few times and she was very helpful.
Overall the location had its positives and negatives. We loved the hot tub being right outside the door and used it nightly. We didn't experience any extra noise from other hot tubbers. We were awakened each morning by the guy shoveling the sidewalks at 6AM every morning. Not only from shoveling noise but from his music. Also, being on the ground floor was nice as there were not any steps to navigate with skis and equipment but the flip side was that there was a lot of foot traffic past our windows and we were awakened a couple of times from car noise in the garage right below us. It was also nice to be able to ski in to the door but it took us a couple of days to figure out which trails to take to make it happen. So at first we were hating it because we ended up having to walk up hill a couple times in ski boots. Also, it could be a bit tricky to figure out how to get down to the lifts from the condo. We finally made it happen but the kids hated having to walk up the mountain with their skis. My husband and I did not mind so much. Also, it took us a bit to figure out how to get to the village shops and restaurants. It had snowed a lot when we first got there (yay!) and the path was not shoveled yet so we didn't see it and ended up walking back via the bus lane. We eventually got it figured out and enjoyed the location more.
So overall, while we did enjoy the condo there were a few drawbacks. My husband and I said that we would stay here again but the kids said no.
Condo was very clean and was well equipped for the size. If you cook a lot I recommend bringing your own knife. There weren't any microwaveable casserole type dishes ( just FYI). The hot tub is close and closes at 10pm. we did have several occasions of a group of guys that were out there past 12am ( we didn't know who to notify) otherwise it is quiet at night and far enough away from the snow cats working all night. You can ski in if you go to the far right of the American eagle w/ enough speed and continue behinde the easy rider. Ski out isn't available unless you ride the super bee which is still a flatter terrain over, otherwise you have to carry your skis just before the easy rider and then you can pop them on to ski to American eagle. it is all very close, just harder to walk in snow and if you aren't adjusted to the altitude it's a little work. We had an overal great experience and would stay here again!
