About Steve and Mary Jeanne Sudell

We have been married 33 years. We have two grown children, one in our town of Jupiter, FL, the other in Santa Monica, CA. I have been a pre-school director for over 27 years and my husband is a master carpenter.

Steve and Mary Jeanne Sudell purchased this house in 2006

Why Steve and Mary Jeanne Sudell chose Waynesville

On my 50th birthday we visited Waynesville for the first time. We visited a few properties but absolutely fell in love with the privacy, beautiful mountain views, running creek and the close proximity to dining, shopping and tourist attractions.

What makes this house unique

The house was just a shell when we purchased it but after 2 years of traveling back and forth from Florida and extremely hard work and coordination, the results are amazing and top of the line. Our property is very remote yet only 5 miles from shopping and downtown Waynesville and the Blue Ridge Parkway.

This location is a keeper!! Outstanding!!!!!!!!!!

  • 5 of 5

We've rented vacation cabins and homes in Tennessee and North Carolina mountains for about 10 years now and this was by far one of the nicest rentals we have ever stayed at. Such a comfortable homey feel. The view was definitely a million dollar view. The privacy and peacefulness of the home was outstanding. It was the nicest equipped kitchen we have ever stayed in. All the pans and dishes were nice. The house was absolutely perfect. We were even allowed to use the garage. Most places we've been at we have not been allowed to. This was great because we got to park our motorcycles in at night. If I had one, my only complaint would be that time went too darn fast!! (They need slower clocks in the cabin!) We are already looking forward to my next vacation here. I will most definitely be back!!

Excellent stay! Highly recommend

  • 5 of 5

Me and my wife stayed here for 4 days and it was 4 days too short! There really is nothing better than waking up, having a fresh cup of coffee on the porch, looking at the mountains and hearing the birds chirp. Coming from the city, this is just what we needed! We will definitely be back here again soon!

Nearly lived on the deck.

First day was great. We've booked it again for next year. Kitchen is fully equipped for all of our needs. The air conditioning and heat work great although many nights we could just open the windows and enjoy the cool down there. 5 Acres was great for our dog.It gave us plenty of places to walk and get some exercise. Convenient to local grocery stores and many fine restaurants.

Pure serenity

  • 5 of 5

It has been awhile since our last trip to N.C., when we arrived here it more than exceeded our expectations.

To be able to leave the fast pace of daily life behind was truly heavenly.

Everything that could be needed was there, a very well self contained home.

Not to mention the most breathtakingly view of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

We hope to be able to go back in the near future.

Great Location!!

We spent a week at the "Cimarron Cabin" and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. House was immaculate and everything we needed was there--one of the better rental cabins we've stayed in. Hope to return again.
