We arrived in the evening and were blown away the next morning when we awoke to the unbelievably beautiful view. The house is up in the treetops with long range views of Lake Glenville. The kitchen is clean and well equipped with many small appliances and plenty of plates, place mats, napkins and more to share a meal while looking at the view. There was plenty of hiking nearby and renting a pontoon boat was our favorite activity. The owner texted us back quickly with any questions we had. We will definitely be coming back, thanks so much!
We enjoyed every moment of our 4 day stay. The cabin is clean, comfortable, and has the most beautiful view of lake Glenville. It had everything we needed, and there is grocery store about 15 minutes away. The town of cashiers is very close by and offers shops, restaurants, and coffee. Many parks, trails, waterfalls, and scenic routes are nearby. We enjoyed hiking and exploring the surrounding areas. Trees are starting to change color, so the lake view is killer. Our dogs loved the hiking and mountain air- a great place for well trained dogs to enjoy the outdoors. We Will definitely be back! Wish we could have stayed longer.
This place was awesome! View was absolute perfection. We took full advantage of the hot tub, canoe, deck, views, etc. House was appointed with everything one could need and more. Very grateful to have all the "little things" provided (everything from plastic wrap, trash bags, Ziploc bags, hand soap, cleaning supplies, ketchup, butter, etc.) That made things so much more pleasant. Only thing that would have made this place a "5" would have been to have a dock. We did make our way down the very steep incline to the lake, and we utilized the canoe, and my kids even swam in the lake from the rocky side of the bank, but it was challenging. A dock would make this place EVERYTHING!!! But still -- it was a lovely stay in a fabulous home with perfect views.
This is a wonderful lake house with a beautiful view of Glenville Lake. It is very clean and very bright, with lots of windows and light. There's a nice deck with a large grill and the house has been well cared for. There is not a dock, which is the only downside, but if you're not looking for that, this house is perfect. It's best for one family or two couples because there are only two bedrooms. The town of Cashiers is only 5-10 minutes down the road, so it is convenient too!
My wife and I spent three weeks here and enjoyed it very much.As stated by other reviewers the owner is very easy to work with. We spent a lot of our time out on the deck watching the boats on the lake and enjoying the cool weather and the great view. The house was clean and had everything we needed and is located within a short 10 minute drive from Cashiers. This house is a great getaway for 2-4 people.
I brought my girlfriend and we had a great time! Cabin was exactly as described. Lots of room for the 2 of us. The view is amazing. Hot tub was great. Kitchen cabinets are laid out a little awkwardly which made finding things non-intuitive. Town was only a short distance away but is obviously set up to gouge wealthy retirees. There were more antique stores than I have ever seen before selling yard sale items marked up 1000%. If you plan to rent a pontoon, reserve it in advance. I would definitely go back!
There are several gem mines within a 15-30 minute drive as well as many great hiking trails of varying degrees of difficulty. Marina & fishing nearby.
