Downtown New Albany (Indiana) Loft - This 6,000-square-foot 2nd/3rd floor loft sits in the heart of the laid back and walkable downtown New Albany, Indiana. Downtown New Albany has experienced a recent explosion of independent businesses and restaurants including bakeries, cafes, Italian, Cuban, American Grille, micro-breweries, winery, pizza, award winning BBQ, and more.

The loft, consisting of the second and third floors has a freight elevator and a 1600 square-foot roof top yard. Free wi-fi is available throughout the loft. The Property sleeps 14+(two king size beds in each primary, one queen bed, two full size beds, four twins, one trundle, one futon and two rollaways) comfortably.

The Loft is perfect for large group getaways or family reunions. There are many great golf courses in the area (including Covered Bridge, Chariot Run and Heritage Hills). A large dining room and entertaining area make large group gatherings easy.

Family and friends trip

Our group of three families stayed at this property while in town for an event at Kentucky exposition center. Easy 15 trip to the fairgrounds and a great small town feel to the area. Home is as described and comfortable. Nice shops and restaurants within walking distance.

Perfect spot for Louisville events!

This is the second year we've rented this house, and we love it! It's the perfect home for my team while we are exhibiting at the Kentucky Expo Center. It's close to Louisville, but located in the heart of New Albany where we can walk a block or two to bars and restaurants. Love this place!

Weekend getaway

My husband and I met 5 other adults for the first time. The building was a little hard to find. But we did find it and access to it was smooth. It was very roomy and large. We all had enough room to spread out and talk. The bedrooms were great. The elevator was a huge bonus after walking all day. Contact with the owners was a big plus. They were quick to respond to messages. We will stay when we come back next year!

Great loft for a large group!

We stayed in this loft with a large group ranging in age from 5 - 45. It is a fantastic space with plenty of room to spread out! Great bedroom/bathroom floor plans for multiple people. Within walking distance of shopping and the fantastic restaurants New Albany has to offer! We barely used our vehicles, but when we did, the location of this loft is super close to Louisville! Quiet with an urban feel!

This was our second stay at the loft, and once again it did not disappoint! We had 12 guys on a golf trip and everyone loves the space. The location can't be beat, and the roof top deck is a great place to hang, play games, etc. Jess is hands down, one of the best hosts I've ever dealt with. She is quick to respond and super helpful with recommendations, etc. We're already talking about when we're coming back!

Better then the photos

Having 2 great bars 1 block away didn't hurt. Old style elevator was awesome. The outdoor patio just needs some lights but it was epic. Will def stay here again next time we hit bourbon country. Just don't make the same late night bad decision mozzarella sticks rally deliveries I did. (Check out starlight/Huber farm nearby).

Tournament Stay

Loved the property! Safe neighborhood and plenty to do in the surrounding area. There ended up being a total of 15 of us. We were there for back to back basketball tournaments. The girls were very comfortable. We were not on top of each other. Living area was roomy and comfortable. Owners were very helpful for recommendations and answered any questions we had very promptly. We are hoping to stay there again next year. All the families loved it.

Great stay at a great location

The loft on market was an amazing place for our family to get together. My grandpa is 89 and has a hard time with stairs so the elevator to the second floor and master bedroom that had 2 steps was manageable for him. The rooftop patio was beautiful with plenty of space for bags and other yard games. The pictures almost don't do it justice. There was plenty of space for 11 of us to spread out when needed and a large dining table to have meals and play board games together. Jess gave some wonderful recommendations for things to do around the area. 10/10 would recommend and stay here again

"Totality" Awesome Loft

Our family stayed at Jess' Loft in New Albany prior to heading further into Indiana for the total eclipse. We didn't know if the weather was going to cooperate for the eclipse (it did!) but if it hadn't, we would have been just fine because New Albany is such a charming town and the loft is one of the best vrbos we've stayed in. The loft has such a hip vibe and everthing we needed was there. Owners were great with communication too! Oh, and the rooftop is huge and clean and such a nice place to hang out. Thanks to wonderful hosts!!

Loved the Loft

A unique place to stay with a fun mural outside the door. The place was clean, the air conditioning worked well for such a large space as it was in the 90's when we were there. We loved congregating on the outdoor roof. The kitchen was nicely stocked with items. The owners were receptive to questions and the location was great. My only caveats are the stairs are quite steep. There is an elevator to the second floor but not the third. The library is not an actual room but a nook by the stairs which did not afford for much privacy. Also there are no curtains in that room or the game room so at night the light did shine in on the people who where in the rooms. The other rooms were fine.

The Loft - Awesome Property

We had our annual family vacation in New Albany, IN this year after a family wedding in Greenwood, IN. New Albany was a great place to serve as our home base while visiting places in and around Louisville, KY. We had 12 family members at The Loft on E Market. Our Mom (85) and Dad (87) made out fine in The Loft. They stayed in the main master bedroom and had no problem with a few of the steps...the freight elevator was great for access of our elderly parents...also the young kids thought it was really cool! Matt and Jess were great as Jess provided us many suggestions and answers to questions about New Albany for things to do and places to eat...they also have a great notebook for reference in property...and even had a Kroger card for grocery discounts in the notebook. We called about a couple of the shower curtains, and Matt was quick to supply new ones up on request. The Loft provided an awesome hangout place both inside and outside on the roof! Highly recommend The Loft on E. Market. Thanks Matt and Jess!!! P.S. We had 4 cars and had no issues with parking on the street.

The property dates back to 1879 and is three floors of restored beauty. Downtown New Albany offers easy access to Louisville activities, but has enough to do on its own so you won't need to leave town unless you have to. Lots of activities in the region for you and your group include great golf courses (Covered Bridge, Heritage Hills, Chariot Run, and more), Bourbon Tours (message us for help booking yours), wineries, orchards, downtown shopping and great independent restaurants.
