About Kris Hebert

The house was initially built by my grandparents who had lived in Tallahassee since the 1940s. We are all FSU Seminoles and call Tallahassee home.

Kris Hebert purchased this house in 1964

Why Kris Hebert chose Florida North Central

This property has been in our family since 1964. We have many wonderful memories exploring the wildlife and playing in the water. Check out the pictures of the view from our deck. There is truly something for everyone no matter the age.

What makes this house unique

Our favorite experience is sitting on the upper deck with our cold beverages; watching the sun set while the birds soar and the the porpoises feed.

Great location. Welcoming and comfortable. Kayaks a bonus. Beautiful sunsets and dolphins in the bay

  • 4 of 5

Large for the price point, generous sized rooms. Stocked kitchen.Lots of privacy around the upper balcony to enjoy the view. Was quiet throughout most of our stay. Travelled to nearby sites St Mark's, Walluka Springs and Walluka beach. But mostly spent time enjoying kayaking, dolphin and bird watching and relaxing. Would recommend for a relaxing nature filled trip.

SHHHHHH....Don't Let the Secret Out!

  • 5 of 5

I'm almost scared to share what I really think of this place because I want to keep the secret of what an amazing get away this was for my family. Perfect! If you want a get way from everything and enjoy a piece of Florida that not many get to experience, this is the place. My son is a student in Tallahassee so the location was perfect for him to get away from campus life for a quick weekend. This home was very comfort for all of us. If you want to get away from it all, this is the place. Be prepared, the closest Grocery store is 30 minutes away and the convenience store that is closer closes early. The kids had a good time fishing, kayaking and exploring the area. I had a great time watching them put down the electronics and enjoy life! The neighbors and the owners are very friendly and accommodating. We will be back!

Cute cozy place right on the water. So peaceful and quiet and away from everything. Loved see all the wildlife so close. Home was well stocked with everything we needed. The water was perfect for paddle sports.

Absolutely beautiful and peaceful!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time staying at this house. The decks were our favorite spot overlooking the water. The sunsets were amazing! The house is very roomy and with 2 15yr olds, 2 10yr olds and an 12yr old that was wonderful. The kids had a blast finding hermit crabs, fiddler crabs and a few starfish in the water as well as catching some blue crabs and doing some kayaking. They were completely satisfied putting down the phones and electronics and enjoyed the outdoors! That is a feat in itself and speaks volumes about this rental.

I have stayed at this property many times. It is one of my favorite places on Earth. There is so much to do here or you can choose to do nothing at all. I love going to Wakulla Springs and to St. Marks Wildlife Refuge, but I also love relaxing on the top deck. This coast house has something for evertone!

Added bonus! It's about 30min from FSU so is a great place to stay on ame weekends!

Long Weekend Getaway

  • 5 of 5

Perfect getaway for a large busy family looking to get away and relax! It was perfect in every way for our large family of 7! Yes, it worked out that all of us were there! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves ranging from 3 years old and up! We kayaked, crabbed, explored the beautiful island, swam, fed fish, watched fireworks from our balcony 3 nights in a row, talked to friendly fishermen, caught fish, watched dolphins feed, and had room enough downstairs for the girls to have fun dancing while playing music on their iPhone on the docking station/speaker! I even had time to read a book! We spent one afternoon at Edward Ball Wakulla State Park swimming in the beautiful clear water and watching manatees swim! If your in the area, Ham-ack Knockers has fabulous BBQ! I highly recommend this rental place to anyone! We had everything we needed plus more! And the owner was very easy to work with! You won't regret your decision especially while relaxing on the upper deck watching the most amazing purple, pink, orange sunset you've ever witnessed! Thank you for sharing your home with us!
