This was my second stay at this property this year. I attend the shotgun trap competitions at the PSSA facility in Elysburg, an easy 12 minute drive away. The house comes as advertised and is a nice, quiet place to relax after a long day of shooting.

This is a nice quiet setting. The beds were clean as was the rest of the house. The beds were comfortable as well. Living room furniture was old and uncomfortable. Needs updated. Most of the pots and pans were old non stick ware, and the coating was peeling off. We chose not to use them. There were no towel racks in the bathrooms. I would suggest that they be installed as we had to hang towels on door knobs and cabinet handles. Bonnie was kind and checked on us mid week. However her email responses were a little slow.

A nice quiet place to relax. I arrived and was greeted by a flock of turkeys and later at dusk about 12 white tailed deer made an appearance. Each day at dusk at least four deer appeared in the fields of corn stubble. I enjoyed sitting on the porch, relaxing with a cocktail, and keeping an eye open for the wildlife. I had a question during my stay, emailed Bonnie, and she called me soon after.

Doug and I have lived on the adjacent property since 1980 and it is here that we raised our family of 6 children. We now have 18 grandchildren.

Why they chose this property

This property was originally part of the farm we purchased in 1980. Because it is close by, we thought that it would be a good investment and possibly provide some extra income through vacation rental.

What makes this property unique

We think that you will enjoy your stay here. Others have described it as a 'hidden gem' because of the quietness country setting and out-of-the-way location.
