We had a wonderful time on our second Florida trip this year and, by chance, had already booked the same villa before our March trip.We were delighted to return for a further fortnight. All the right boxes remained ticked: facilities, location, the peace, quiet and room that a hotel would not provide.The only downside (not that it directly relates to the villa) is the traffic on the I-4, but avoiding a return journey to the villa between 3pm-6pm makes that easier, and 45 mins to Universal isn’t too bad, given the perpetual snarl up just before Vineland.Highly recommended.

The home was clean, beds extremely comfortable, and OMG talk about fully stocked kitchen Only issue which should be in the description is 2 cars per house. Community has no overflow parking and they will tow. But if you have extra cars talk with host bwfore hand to help with accomodations. Also, this home is not in a resort. Its a basic HOA community. Nice and quiet!

The villa was in an excellent location and perfect for all our holiday needs. There were so many benefits, too numerous to mention here. To name a few: the heated pool was lovely and such a fabulous way to end (or start) our days out; access to all the parks was easy and within a good, reachable distance; the villa's environment was very quiet and peaceful; the kitchen was lovely - we were glad we purchased the Welcome Pack as this really helped us on our arrival after a very long flight. We would highly recommend the villa to anyone wanting to stay on Orlando!

This is a delightful and well maintained villa on the eastern part of The Shire, which means that it enjoys the sun over the pool area throughout the day. It is well situated for the amenities of Champions Gate, and is 30-40 mins from Universal. For a family, or a couple not enamoured of the hustle and bustle of International Drive, it could not be more ideal

We had an excellent time! The owner and management team were amazing and any questions or concerns before and during our trip were answered in a timely manner. Would definitely stay here again. We would recommend an ungrade to the microwave and the blinds on the slider door. Great area to stay in around eveything, emerency, food, grocery, gas and the parks were only like 20 min away. Overall a great place to stay!

We’re a family-loving couple from the UK who fell head over flip-flops for Florida back in 2012.

In our second year of marriage, we took a big family holiday to the Sunshine State and were instantly hooked. Between the sunshine, the friendly people and the relaxed way of life, we knew Florida was our kind of place.

After watching far too many episodes of A Place in the Sun (we were hooked on that too!), we visited a property roadshow in the UK, met the wonderful team at Homes of America and, just six months later, we were on a plane looking for our dream Florida home.

We saw lots of lovely properties, but when we walked through the door of this villa, we just knew. It made us smile then, and it still does every time we visit.

We love being able to share our villa with other families and help them enjoy their own Florida adventures. We’ve tried to create a place that feels like a home from home, with plenty of space to relax, have fun and enjoy time together.

We hope you love Florida as much as we do and have an amazing stay at our little piece of the Sunshine State!

Why they chose this property

We chose The Shire at West Haven because it gives us the best of both worlds — a peaceful place to come home to after busy days exploring Orlando, while still being close to all the attractions.

We love that the community feels quiet and residential, rather than like you're staying in the middle of a busy tourist area. At our villa, the pool overlooks a peaceful nature reserve with no rear neighbours, making it a lovely place to sit outside, enjoy the Florida sunshine and unwind.

The location is also incredibly convenient for everyday holiday life. ChampionsGate is only around 5 minutes away, with Publix, restaurants, shops, cafés and fuel all close by. The nearby US-27 and US-192 also offer a huge choice of supermarkets, restaurants, takeaways and shopping, so you're never far from somewhere to eat or pick up everything you need.

There is plenty of choice when it comes to eating out too, from family-friendly restaurants and breakfast spots to Italian, American and many other cuisines, giving you lots of options without having to travel far.

And when it's time for the parks, you're within easy driving distance of Disney, Universal and the other Orlando attractions.

For us, it's the combination of peace, privacy, sunshine and convenience that makes West Haven such a great place to stay.
