This charming 2 bedroom, 2 full bath home with its southern and beach inspired décor has all you need to make your stay a comfortable one. Charleston was one of our first trips together and where we fell in love! We returned many times since then and decided this would be a great place to have a second home. It has become a wonderful place to enjoy family & friends. Please, make yourselves comfortable and welcome to Charleston!

What makes this house unique

We put a lot into the remodeling of our home and wanted to keep certain artistic features. The bar counter was salvaged wood from within the walls and the fireplaces now exposed, were covered in plaster. They now make a beautiful accent to the living area and bedroom. Now, completed we have enjoyed it very much. It took almost 2 years to reconstruct. Countless trips back and forth from Greenville (3 hours one way) sometimes roundtrip in the same day. We love the location and simply walk to all our favorite restaurants and shops..

To be honest , it is neat King Street but the wrong end. Just know you will walk or Uber a lot.

Beautiful "Charleston Single"

My sisters, mom, and I loved staying in such a quintessential Charleston home. Apparently, this style of house is called a "Charleston Single", and it felt quite different in design than our Colorado houses. We enjoyed the high ceilings, luxurious crown moldings, and tall baseboards, all set off by the beautiful paint colors in the foyer and bedrooms.

Finding the parking spot was a bit tricky. It IS behind the house, but it is accessed off a different street on the opposite side of the block. Once found, it turned out to be very convenient, especially since parking is extremely hard to find. The best public parking garage we found was when we traveled south on King. Before you hit Broad Street, there is a municipal garage on the west side of the street. It had the best prices.

Groceries could be bought by walking north and then heading east to the corner market. Items were pricey since it's just a tiny place, but we were able to find eggs, bacon, tp, paper towels, bread, cheese, butter, wine, and Nestle chocolate chip cookie dough. What else do you need after you find wine and cookie dough for happy hour on your private porch? :)

We were there at the end of April, and the ubiquitous jasmine blossoms perfumed our walks around town. It was warm, but not too hot. I would definitely recommend this time of year to visit Charleston, and I hope to convince my fiance to join me in this lovely Charleston single in some future year.

Comfortable and Conveniently located

Being a block off King and great Charleston shopping, this was perfect. Pretty much parked the car for a few days and enjoyed the city. Great layout, well appointed and very comfortable. One disclosure--You are in the heart of the city, pretty much living like a local, so there is some late night and early morning noise. So if you're looking for silence, might want to consider the beach. But if you're looking for some pure Charleston, this place is great. What a nice getaway!

Live like a Charlestonian

My husband and I met up with his cousin and his wife to spend the weekend before Thanksgiving in Charleston. We've stayed at this rental before and loved this location. Right next to our house is the Brown's Court Bakery which was our daily coffee stop. We walked everywhere - no need for a car. And when your not up for walking, just Uber!

The owner provided very clear information on how to get to the property, parking info, etc. The house was very comfortable and clean... lots of pillows, plenty of blankets and bedding. More than enough towels.. we didn't have to wash any throughout our 4 night stay. We (each couple) had our own bedroom and bathroom/shower on opposite ends of the house.

You have so many options just around the corner from this rental... Elliotborough Mini Bar (live music fri/sat), Xiao Bao Biscuit (asian Soul Food), Lana Restaurant (Tapas), Artisan Meat Share (Fresh Meats & Cheese - local deli), The Grocery (Sunday Brunch), Indaco (Wood Fired Pizza's), Hom (Burger Boutique), The Alley (Bowling Alley, Arcade Games, 3 Bars), The Taco Spot (Power Hour Mon), and of course Warehouse (Industrial-chic bar & restaurant) across the street.

We would stay here again!

Good Location - no internet

Overall, our stay was great. The place is neat and clean. Furniture is comfy. Noise in front bedroom is disruptive so you need a good sleeper in there. Best of all was the location - we could walk everywhere and our fav restaurant, Chez Nous, was literally in our backyard. Parking was easy as well. Our only problem, and it was not a little one, was no internet service. (one of the girls in our group needed to do work and had to connect without wifi and prob cost her a fortune. If there is no real WiFi, it should not be on the listing) VRBO description says there is WiFi. Owner not able to correct the problem during our stay and was fairly uncommunicative - I suppose since she couldn't do anything, she didn't respond. I am also a VRBO owner and realize problems arise - but when they do, it is not my renters fault, it's mine. At minimum, if I'm not able to fix the problem, I offer a refund of some sort. I think that's good business. IF there had been communication and offer of a token rebate, I would rate this 5 stars. While at the bakery next door, we heard their WiFi was the same as the one listed at the house. I hope they are not trying to use the WiFi from next door. If the username is A.B. and the password is T.D.A., that's from the bakery. If there had been internet, a blowdryer and instructions for the TV, our stay would have been perfect. The city of Charleston is a great Girls' Weekend destination!

Simply step out front door to Brown Ct Bakery, a locals spot for coffee!
