What's not to Love about this 2nd Floor 2 Bedroom condo at Papakea Beach Resort

Visit our lovely 2nd floor vacation condo with wonderful ocean views in North Ka'anapali. This condo features both bedrooms all on one floor. This completely remodeled unit has all brand new stainless steel appliances (new stove and fridge arriving in March 2020), a wine fridge, floor to ceiling lanai doors, a new air conditioning system and new mattresses for the queen beds and twin bed. The guest bathroom features a stall shower, no tub. Condo features a full size washer and dryer. Resort features 2 pools, shuffleboard, tennis courts, putting greens and plenty of gas BBQ's in the pool area to grill up the fresh catch of the day.



A $17/day Facilities Use Fee (with a 10 day $170 maximum per calendar month) will be collected at check out, payable to the front desk

K203 is "top drawer", as is the Papakea resort. The unit had everything we could want in amenities (loved the washer and dryer, loved the a/c). It was spacious and had a great view of the pool and the ocean. Even had boogie boards, beach chairs and coolers. We loved it and would return to Papakea and K203.

Location location location

We were there the week of the fires. The property had the most amazin views and the grounds were kept meticulously. The condo was great and had everything we needed. The back bedrooms got a little stuffy, but they had fans you could push the a/c air from the main living area to the back. You could also open the front door and the lanai door and the winds just pushed through cooling everything. We did lose power when we were there. The facility had light sticks on the stairs for you to get around and a few generators to charge your phones. We cooked on the bbqs that are propane. We made due with a horrible situation and they couldnt have been more helpful since we couldnt go anywhere for a few days. Thankfully by the time our stay was ending we got out and were able to leave. Knowing the devistation of 6 miles away will never be the same is so sad and knowing they will never get to "go home" is even sadder. Praying for the people of Lahaina and Maui!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The view is the best part of the unit. Some things to know, the furniture is very worn and dated. The bed was comfortable, just the two of us, so we didn't use the other bedroom. While some renters may like that seasonings, peanut butter, cooking oils, and open containers of various products were left in the cabinets for our use, we would have preferred they not be there especially in this time of Covid. We had a major problem with the dryer, constantly trying to dry laundry with it automatically going into damp dry mode. Front desk staff was wonderful, and the groundskeepers were as well. If we return to Papakea, we would choose another unit.

The reservation and overall process was professional and predictable. The apartment we had, K203, was well equipped, including snorkel gear, boogie boards, beach chairs and most of the things you want for ocean and beach going. The kitchen had most of the basic items and more that you might end up buying and tossing befor you leave. Simple things like salt and pepper, various spices, sauces, spreads, etc. were left for tenants to use. I liked the fact that the owners had left those things of use by visitors, it just made things easier and more complete. The pool was great, as was the hot tub and beach access. We preferred to drive to other beaches (Fleming and Slaughterhouse) with fewer rocks, easily reachable within a 10 minute drive. Magnificent snorkeling just down the road at Snorkel Honolua . Easy drive to Lahaina shops and restaurants and activities. We enjoyed the magnificent food at the Fish Market just across the street...a must eat place if you like local fresh fish. We didn’t want to leave...which sums up how we felt about our experience.

The property is fantastic and the online photos don’t really portray how awesome the ocean view actually is! We were in love as soon as we walked in the door. The only complaint, and it didn’t really change the enjoyment we had with the property, was that the cleaners need to do a better job. Other than that the property is great!!

Wonderful Family Vacation

We have been planning our trip to Maui for 3 years. We were supposed to be there 8/2020 but life had other plans . We finally made it though 8/2022! We went with our 2 adult kids. This place was our home away from home for 10 days. It was neat, clean, and located on the 2nd floor right next to a plumeria tree, just perfect. The beds were very comfortable and the pillows were perfect. Hotel stay pillows never work for us. It was like the owner was planning for their own family and made sure we had had great sleeping accommodations. We had a washer and dryer with some complementary tide pods to get us started and enough pods for the dishwasher to last our whole trip. Bathrooms were spacious and clean. Plenty of towels for beach and home. The owners had a couple of boogie boards to use as well as a donut floaty for the pool. The kitchen was clean and well stocked with basics. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the pans. Not the cheap camping ones that burn and stick food. Real name brand quality items. The fridge made so much ice! We bought a big bag before we got there and hardly used it! Lastly, I just want to say our stay here could not have been more pleasant and comfortable. The owner and the property management really take care of the place. Staff was friendly and nice. Thank you for helping us make memories.

The unit was super clean and so comfortable for our family of 5. All the beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, the washer and dryer were fantastic, the lenai was so relaxing and the view of the ocean was just perfect! We loved that it’s NOT on the beach. It was actually so nice to enjoy the ocean on the clean grass after a Long Beach day. The birds are amazing all over the property. We LOVED our time there and would highly recommend it.

Everything was exactly as shown in the pics. Great property. I was a little worried about the no sand beach, but decided I actually prefer having the grass area above the sea wall since there are Sandy beaches nearby.

The View is worth it

Our stay was almost perfect. The place was beautiful & comfortable for 7 of us that stayed there. The view was picture perfect! Our biggest complaint would be for the cleaning company & the property management. First off, the floors in the condo were so filthy, our feet turned black just from walking barefoot inside. I had to wash my feet every night before bed because they were so disgustingly filthy. Also, I went to give my granddaughter a bath & found hair (not just one or two & not ours) on the floor of the bathroom as well as around the edges of the tub. Also, we were told that we could rent beach towels for the duration of our stay. We just needed to contact the management company before we checked in & they would be in our room when we arrived. I left a message for the management company about renting towels 2 days before we arrived & never got a call back. I then texted the day before we arrived, to make the request again & didn’t hear back until we landed in Maui. The text response said that we could come to their office in Lahaina to pick them up. So much for them being in our room when we arrived. We never picked them up because we had better things to do with our time. Regardless, we enjoyed our time & would definitely go back. I just hope the cleaning improves!

Papakea Condos are Magnificent!
