The main floor includes a very large, beautiful kitchen overlooking the lake with a beautiful walk-in pantry and large granite countertops with bar seating and spacious cupboards. The laundry facility is also conveniently located on the main floor in the kitchen with a stackable washer and dryer. There are two spacious bedrooms on the main floor (one facing the lake) along with a full bathroom. The master suite is also located on the main floor with a full size bathroom which includes a Jacuzzi tub, also lakeside. There is a gas fireplace on the main floor with a beautiful deck just off the living area with full glass decking overlooking the lake. The lower level includes two spacious bedrooms (one facing the lake) and one full size bathroom and a large family room area with a pool table and beautiful, spacious bar with additional seating. This area also includes a table for playing cards and other table games. You can also play darts. There is a full beautiful deck on the lower level overlooking the lake. The yard is beautifully landscaped with an outdoor fire pit and plenty of yard space for outdoor fun yard games and activities. There is a nice dock that includes a beautiful Premier pontoon available for rent daily or weekly. The public access to the lake is only 2-3 miles down the road and there is a beautiful lakefront restaurant just 1-2 miles across the lake.

The pictures do not do this beautiful cabin enough justice! A few friends stayed here for a girls weekend and we loved our stay! Todd was great at communicating with us. Absolutely would recommend!

Relaxing vacation

Property was great. Plenty of room for 14 family members. Yard was beatifully landscaped & we rented the pontoon which the kids loved. Owners were great to work with. Only negative was the water was pretty weedy by the shore

Our stay at Rush City VRBO was excellent! 5 ***. Property and location was wonderful! Exceptionally clean & home-like feel, easy lake access, beautiful yard and outdoor areas. Owners so accomodating with all our questions and answered promptly. We've stayed at many VRBO's and this home is at the top! Looking forward to renting again. Miss it already! Also, fishing was good on both lakes!

Fantastic for large group!! Kitchen and eating area was perfect!!!

We stayed in February. Beautiful view of the lake. The house was spotless. The basement was a perfect for high school kids to hang and have fun. The kitchen and open area was great for family style eating. Plenty of kitchen pans, utensils slow cookers etc. The upstairs rooms are spacious and quiet. We ALL had a terrific night of sleep. Highly recommend!!!

Winter Wonderland

The quite neighborhood in the right location for a weekend away! The cozy cabin feel, with space and excitement like a castle. Perfect size for our group of 10, everyone had space for them! No cabin fever here, we were enjoying the winter weather from indoors.

What a wonderful property!!

We loved this property! Kitchen is perfect for a group, downstairs worked great for the tweens and kiddos, and the lake was fun fishing. Sleeping space accommodates 8 adults, 6 kids in beds/ sleeper sofa and 2 foam single mattresses for 2 more kids. We would use this listing again.

Wonderful Family Vacation

Our family rented this beautiful home and we were so impressed. Everything we needed was provided from dishes to cleaning supplies and towels. The beds were very comfortable and everyone had fun playing pool and sitting around the bonfire and on the deck. We rented the pontoon for a day and had a wonderful time cruising the lake and enjoying the weather. The owners were wonderful and incredibly accommodating. Truly a wonderful experience!

Beautiful home with everything you need. Very spacious. The owner is very gracious and helpful. Definitely rent the pontoon, our highlight was finding the “swimming hole” on Little Lake, and boating to dinner.

Science Club Trip

Todd did a great job before the trip answering all of my questions. We arrived late, but had a very easy time with are large group getting settled for the night. It was within an hour from the cities which worked perfect for us. We were able to enjoy Science Museum, Valley Fair, Mall of America, and a Twins game. The highlight of the trip for many of the students was the lake day at the house. It was very relaxing. As a chaperone I love they were able to spend time together cooking a meal, playing pool, swimming, riding on the pontoon together as a group. Only drawback were then mosquitoes😄. We were eaten alive, didn’t matter how much big spray we applied. With the wet weather, I should have purchased a spray for the yard. Thank you for the accommodating our science club.

Short visit for a family wedding

This property is amazing. The views were stunning. The house was spectacular. It had everything we could possibly need. We were only there for the weekend, but wish we could have stayed longer. Everything about this house was amazing and as advertised.

Great Family Vacation!

My family, along with two others stayed four nights and had use of the pontoon. there were six adults and four children. There was plenty of space and Todd was very attentive both by email before the trip and in person while we were there. The house was extremely clean when we arrived and exceeded expectations! Everyone had a great time and we would definitely come back.

We had three families with 10 people for the weekend. Plenty of room for all. Lots of games to play. The property is even better than the VRBO listing and working with Todd was a breeze. If you are looking for a wonderful getaway this could be the place.

A memorable family get-together that we’ll talk about for a long time!

We booked Todd and Julie’s home for three days in mid-September when our youngest son got married at Creekside Farm east of Rush City. From the start Todd was extremely helpful and friendly. Several of us were able to meet him and tour the house prior to renting it. There were a total of 11 adults, one teen-ager, and 7 children 10 years old and under – (including three 2-year-olds). Each of four family units had a bedroom (which meant that the children had their own space if needed). The two grandparents and one uncle shared the other bedroom (which meant that we had our own space if needed…). The house lent itself to lots of conversation – once the kids were in bed the adults had the living, dining and kitchen area to ourselves and we stayed up late and took advantage of it. We cooked hot dogs and brats over the fire pit for lunch one day and enjoyed an all-day campfire on a chilly, windy afternoon. We used the Weber grill for supper one night and the kitchen was great for preparing and setting up food for 21+ people. (In addition to our group of nineteen we had the bride and groom and some other family guests for meals on Saturday and Sunday.) Two of the boys wanted to swim and, in spite of the chilly temperatures they did. (The beach may have been a little weedy but they didn’t care one bit). The only issue was my fault – I put a pasta salad in one of the garage refrigerators and I had turned the temp down too low and it froze. The consensus of our family was “THANK YOU! Todd and Julie for helping us make a memorable family get-together that we’ll talk about for a long time!”

We have been happily married almost 42 years and have two beautiful children that are also happily married and mean everything to us, along with our beautiful and joyful Grandchildren! We grew up in Southwest Wisconsin but have been living in Minnesota for 37 years. We've been on East Rush Lake for 18 years and absolutely love it and have made numerous, wonderful friends on the lake. Friends and family mean the world to us and sharing time on the lake has created special memories we will cherish forever! We have hosted many July 4th family gatherings, and yearly college volleyball retreats (our daughter is a head coach) as well as family reunions. Friends and family are everything! Todd loves to hunt and fish and anything outdoors and I love the outdoors as well and also love fishing, kayaking, walking, scrapbooking, bowling, golf and most of all, spending time with our children and their families and especially our beautiful grandchildren!

Why they chose this property

We have always hoped to live on a lake and our dream came true 18 years ago. We both grew up in a small community and Rush City offers the same small community amenities. To wake up to the beautiful lake every morning is so refreshing and soothing and to retire at the end of the day to beautiful sunsets throughout the years have been treasured dearly. We couldn't ask for better neighbors and all the lake fun has been incredible. The fun boat tie ups together to end our weekends on the lake have been relaxing and we both enjoy fishing which is a nice time to get away in the boat and relax. We love to entertain and share what we have with others! The friendships we have made are priceless!

What makes this property unique

We love our home because we built it with lots of love and hard work. It is a dream come true to be able to wake up within the comforts of our beautiful handiwork overlooking a soothing, lakefront!
