**NEW Remodel October 2015!!!** We have made many changes to our condo including: all walls painted, four new louvered doors, new wood flooring, new chair rail, new kitchen faucet, new sleeper couch with an extra large mattress, and two new bar stools. The furniture has been rearranged so the bed and couch both look directly at the TV. This provides better function and a more open feeling.

The ground floor location of this studio allows for convenient walk-in/walk-out access without the need to wait for an elevator. Just open the lanai sliding doors and you are steps away from the beach, the pool, and the Ka’anapali walkway. The courtyard offers a tranquil setting with tropical plants, a Koi pond with a waterfall, and the swimming pool. In the evening, the Koi pond is lit by romantic torches and lights. From the condo’s lanai, there are magnificent ocean views and the grassy area by the lanai gives the feeling of a private garden. It’s a delightful place to have a morning coffee or evening drink. The condo has been remodeled entirely and professionally decorated. It has a 42'' flat- screen TV, free secure Wifi, a fully equipped remodeled kitchen, a large king bed, a queen sleeper couch, an opulent bath, and a washer and dryer just outside the door.

About Laura

We live in the beautiful central coast of California. We have four children, with only one remaining at home (this picture is of my oldest daughter and me on our Hana trip last year). We are retired and enjoy traveling when our son is not in school.

Why Laura chose West Maui

We have been visiting Hawaii with our family ever since they were young. We like all the islands but Maui is our favorite. We bought The Whaler because we think Kaanapali Beach is the best beach in west Maui and we wanted a place to spend our summers.

What makes this condo unique

After owning unit 907 for one year, we decided to buy again in The Whaler because we love it so much! We love The Whaler because the units are so close to the ocean. It's also great to be right next door to Whaler's Village so you can get food or dine out. My son loves the beach here as it's one of the few places on west Maui that has as sandy ocean bottom. It's great for boogie boarding.

Perfect location...all so easy

Great apartment, fullly equipped with all u need. Easy access to property and all ffacilities. Very handy to washer and dryer. Loved our stay, especially being beside Whalers Village. Easy bus access to Lahaina old town village and Napili pass only $4 US. Great value if u don't want a car. Food supplies at Safeways... $2 bus trip. Ground level access such a bonus!,,

WE love maui and have been their 18 times. The last two times have stayed in Laura Pfeil condos at The Whaler. We will never need to stay elsewhere as;not only having the best location on Kaanapali Beach but the condos are immaculate every time and The Whaler complex as well. We will be back !!!!!!!!

Love this condo. Love the location and ground floor access. Loved just walking out the sliding doors whether to stroll down to the beach or run to the pool or even Hula Grill just a few steps away! Love the updated kitchen and bathroom. It was more comfortable than home! I will stay here the next 25 years if I can

Our stay at the Whaler

The room was great, much bigger than we expected. It is very nice being on the bottom floor and being able to walk in and out. Only downfall of the trip was that the Whaler was doing a remodel on their lobby , the room is by the remodel, so there were workers all day long. No taking a peaceful nap in the room, but it was easy to head to the beach. Thanks Laura for the great trip.

Overall a wonderful experience

We had a great time staying at The Whaler in Unit 162. The condo was clean, decorated well, and worked out great for my family of 4. The room itself is well stocked with everything you'll need. Utensils, pots, pans, dishes, coffee maker (with filters), toaster, wine bottle opener..... the list goes on and on. Add to that the boogie boards, beach chairs, strollers, beach umbrella, and again, you have everything there to make your stay that much more comfortable.

Don't worry about lugging beach towels in your luggage, The Whaler will issue everyone in you party a towel card that can be used to obtain all the beach/pool towels you'll need.

The location was perfect and only a few 100 feet to an outdoor mall that has several food options, shopping, and an ABC store (if you've ever been to Hawaii before, you know how nice having an ABC store close by is). If your looking for a better experience than staying in a hotel room (with less of the expense), but still want that resort feel, this is the place you want to stay. Did I mention the ample underground parking? This was a nice bonus as the weather does change and being able to unload the car out of the weather after a day of shopping/site seeing was another bonus.

This place really was great and I wouldn't hesitate in reaching out to Laura again to stay here the next time my travels bring me to Maui.
