A lovely roomy apartment in a quiet residential area of Stresa. It was a bonus Piero collecting us from town and we appreciated this.Beatrice and Piero provided very useful advice and suggestions about how to use our time in Stresa.
Corinne and Michael.
Michael and Corinne are exceptional guests. Their gentleness and spirit of adventure are very present. I wish them all the best as they deserve all the beauty that life can offer. :)))
The apartment was very spacious, with the two bedrooms and bathroom separated from the kitchen and living area. The kitchen was well stocked and plenty of room for at least 4 adults to move around comfortably. Piero picked us up from the train station and gave us a quick tour of town before taking us to the apartment. Beatrice was great to communicate with too. We were about a mile from the lake and the up hill all the way back up to the apartment was a bit tough after a day of exploring. We certainly got a good workout. Villa Taranto is a must do if the weather is good. Plan a full day to explore and then walk into town for a bite to eat.
A few more towels would have been helpful, but we made due for our 5 night stay.
It was my pleasure hosting Lynn and her mother. She respected the house rules, communication ran smoothly, and most importantly, she is very friendly! I highly recommend her as a guest and would gladly host her again. Lynn, you could have told me about the towels, Piero would have brought you more without hesitation. But glad you told us. Have a wonderful time in Europe, all the best from us. :)))
Wonderful apartment near beautiful Stresa
Beatrice and Piero were very helpful in helping us to travel from Milan airport and Piero met us in Stresa and took us to the apartment. This was very comfortable, clean and well equipped for our holiday and the wifi was excellent. The only downfall was the hill up to the apartment which was very steep and tiring after a day's sightseeing. We did not have a car which would have helped. We enjoyed the boat trips round the islands and visited lots of gardens which were interesting.
Thank you very much for your feedback.
Your sweet presence was still felt after your stay. We are pleased that you have made the most of it and that the weather helped too.
We thank you again and it was a real pleasure to host you; guests like you are rare these days.
You are always more than welcomed, and next time, a car would help for sure. ::)))
Lovely apartment in a beautiful place
We really enjoyed our holiday in Stresa. The apartment was great - spacious for the four of us and well equipped. It was well situated for walking into Stresa and for visiting other nearby beautiful places. Beatrice and Piero were really helpful. Piero was waiting for us on arrival to show us around the apartment and Beatrice always answered any questions that we had very quickly. Thanks so much for letting us stay!
Thank you so much for the sweet and wonderful review.
We are more than happy to know that you had a great time.
This is our first aim.
Therefore, we thank you again and we wish you all the best because you deserve it above all.
You are always more than welcome. Guests like you are very rare; you are a gift to us.
Beatrice and Piero
Lovely apartment, easy reach of the shops and the lake.
We had a lovely time, we were met off the bus by Pier and driven to the apartment in his car and shown around the apartment. We were also driven to the railway station when we left. Lovely apartment, very quiet and user friendly. It had everything we needed. Extremely comfortable bed.
Neil and his wife were delightful guests and we had a great communication prior and during their visit. We would be pleased to host them again if they come back to Stresa and we highly recommend Neil to other hosts. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and it was a pleasure to be helpful during your holiday. We wish you all the best for the coming future.
Quiet location, lovely apartment
A lovely clean apartment with well equipped kitchen and very comfortable beds. The apartment was in a quiet location with lovely views. Beatrice was great with communication from pre booking and throughout. The bus timetable she provided for arrival from the airport was extremely helpful.
Thank you Lindsey; it was a pleasure to host you with your lovely family. You are always more than welcome if you decide to come back. We wish you all the best to you and your delightful kids.
Stresa is the ideal place to spend a wonderful holiday of relaxation and culture, in a charming setting that evokes the atmosphere of the Belle Epoque. The three Borromean Islands, quickly accessible from Stresa, attract art lovers, history and botany. The Isola Bella and Isola Madre exhibit opulent palaces and rare plant gardens where peacocks roam free, parrots and pheasants in an exotic atmosphere that refers to distant lands. L'Isola dei Pescatori is on the famous contrast to the simplicity of the old village, considered one of the most picturesque places in the Lake Maggiore. Villa Pallavicino, typical building of the mid-nineteenth century is visited for its zoo: The lakefront of Stresa, elegant and refined, gives unforgettable views of the Borromeo Gulf. Walking along the lake gaze is divided between Art Nouveau hotels and the three Borromean Islands. Even from the top of Mount Mottarone (1491m), overlooking Stresa, the view is suberba. privileged vantage point, Mottarone is known as the mountain of the two lakes, for its strategic position between Lake Maggiore and the equally picturesque Lake Orta.
The wonders of Lake Maggiore in Stresa do not stop, which is in fact the starting point for unforgettable excursions along the banks of the lake, either by boat or by car. Just on the opposite bank in Stresa, perched on sheer rock in one of the deepest points of Lake Maggiore, stands the Hermitage of Santa Caterina, a monastic complex of three buildings dating back to the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries. An extended stay in Stresa allows you to make day trips to Milan, Lake Orta or nearby Switzerland. Not to be missed is a trip on the shores of Lake Orta where there is a dall'imperdibile town charm: Orta San Giulio, fronted by the beautiful island of San Giulio. The characteristic feature of Orta is given Renaissance and Baroque art that characterizes its Stately palaces and its magnificent gardens. The small island of San Giulio, accessible by boat or motorboat, is an obligatory stop.
