Located in the Castello district, this cozy studio of 53 m2, on the first floor of a building of the thirteenth century, offers an oasis of relaxation just minutes away from San Marco and Rialto. It consists of a kitchen, a bathroom with shower and a spacious bedroom, with Murano glass lamps, overlooking a garden of 170 m2 with a small well probably dating from around the eighteenth century. Fully restored and reformed in Genuary 2014, offers all the comforts of modern location in an historical, suffused atmosphere.

Nearby you can visit the basilica of Santi Giovanni e Paolo, where lie the remains of 25 doges, the church of San Francesco della Vigna, whose precious façade is the work of Palladio, and the church of Santa Maria Formosa, which houses the Byzantine icon of Our Lady of Lepanto. Going a little deeper inside the Castello district, it can be reached by a short walk the Arsenal, and visit what was one of the largest shipyards in the Middle Ages and Modern Age.

The surrounding area, despite the points of interest, remains outside of the usual routes, enabling you to experience Venice in relative serenity in times of great affluence, and is full of restaurants and pastry shops frequented by residents.

Perfect location

Lovely property, ideal size for two friends (using sofa bed), on the first floor. Perfect for strolling, also close to the Ospedale vaporetto stop. Nearby restaurants offered good food at reasonable prices.

Great Stay, great Venice Location

We had a great stay, the weather was wet and cold, but we made it work. We had to leave early for home because of a hurricane coming toward Florida. The host was gracious and understood.

Superb location. Excellent welcome.

The city is astonishing, unique. Our enjoyment was enhanced by a wonderful welcome from the hosts who were attentive and helpful before and during our visit. The apartment is very well-located, short, fascinating walks to the majority of Venice's many attractions. Plenty of good shops, bars and restaurants nearby.

Fabulous week in Venice

A great spacious apartment, pictures don’t really do it justice, a beautiful clean space . Small kitchen large bathroom and large bedroom with TV . There is plenty of storage space , so no need to pack lightly. The apartment is in the north of the city , easy walking to most areas- there is a charge for being met at the water bus, by the owners , which we felt excessive, but we arrived on a late plane so was a charge that we had to pay. There is internet service , but it’s poor and intermittent, so we relied more on our mobile data. Overall a great find

Dear Mrs Angela, thank you for your feedback, I'm glad you had a great stay in our home! As stated in the adv page and then again in our emails, we ask for the "late check-in fee (30€ between 9pm and midnight, 50€ after midnight)" only after 9pm, during the day we do not ask anything for this service. I didn't know you had this bad feeling since you agreed with the terms of the booking and you didn't mention it to me. If you had told me about WiFi, I would have turned the router off and on again, sorry! Best Regards, Maria Chiara

Everything you need in a perfect location

We enjoyed our stay in this apartment. Francesco and Maria were perfect hosts. Very responsive before our arrival and during our stay. Francesco met us at the water shuttle and escorted us to our apartment a short walk from the Ospedale stop. No bridges to carry luggage over! Wonderful, The apartment is exactly as shown online. Furnished simply with plenty of room for a couple. We found it to have everything we needed. A grocery store a short walk away and plenty of great coffee shops and restraunts in walking distance. Don’t miss a cappuccino or an Aperol spritz at Rosa Salba. A charming great location that gives a break from the chaos of Venice yet is only steps away.Loved having the shutters open to the garden and hearing the church bells. We were close to everything we wanted to see yet had a quiet neighborhood feel to the apartment. The kitchen was clean and stocked with an Italian coffee pot and everything needed for a stay.

Francesco è venuto a prenderci all'arrivo della fermata del vaporetto e ci ha accompagnati nell'appartamento dandoci tutte le informazioni necessarie, l'appartamento ci è piaciuto tanto c'è tutto il necessario, per noi molto comodo con vista sul giardino, abbiamo visitato in 3 giorni tutto quello che potevamo, venezia è bellissima ma bisogna camminare tanto per apprezzarla davvero, possiamo vivamente consigliare questa locazione.

Wir haben uns in der modern eingerichteten Ferienwohnung sehr wohl gefühlt. Einziger Wermutstropfen : es war Mitte Oktober schon recht kühl, die Heizung durfte - wohl wegen der Umweltschutz-Vorgaben - nicht angestellt werden, so dass Handtücher /Wäsche nicht trocknen wollten und man sich warm anziehen und in Decke hüllen musste.Die Lage des Domizils war hervorragend, nur ca. 5min. zur Vaporetto-Station Ospitale, 10min. Fußweg zum Markusplatz, in einem etwas ruhigeren, von Touristen weniger frequentierten Viertel. Gute Restaurants, Bäcker und Supermarkt befinden sich in unmittelbarer Nähe.Die Kommunikation mit Francesco war unkompliziert. Herzlichen Dank auch für den freundlichen Empfang durch seinen Mitarbeiter Orial, der uns am Anreiseabend vom Vaporetto abholte und zur Unterkunft begleitete. Kleine Empfehlung : für Hobbyköche wäre es schön, auch einen kleineren Topf mit Deckel vorzufinden - Tomatensauce spritzt zu gern.Resümee : wir empfehlen diese Ferienwohnung gerne weiter.

Super Unterkunft

Der Aufenthalt entsprach zu 100 % unseren Vorstellungen. Der liebevolle Empfang nachdem wir Sunden verspätet ankamen und vor allem der vorhergehende Nachrichtenkontakt war für uns sehr hilfreich. Vom Besitzer der Fewo erhielten wir den Tip das wir einen Link nutzen konnten um online eine Befreiung des Tagesgeldes zu erlangen. Das wussten wir vorher nicht und wären ohne den qr-code ganz schön auf die Nase gefallen. Gerne werden wir diese Fewo wieder buchen wenn wir Venedig zurückkehren. Wir haben uns sehr sehr wohl gefühlt und sagen nochmal Danke für Alles !

L'appartement est suffisamment grand et équipé pour deux, très bien situé. Francesco et Orial sont très efficaces. Seul petit point à modifier sur l'annonce "appartement avec jardin" les photos de fleurs sont prometteuses... mais inexistantes et pas de siège ni table. En réalité. "appartement avec vue sur jardin" serait plus adapté. Manquent en cuisine une essoreuse salade, un petit plateau et cuillères bois. A part ça, Venise est toujours aussi belle

Nous avons beaucoup aimé notre séjour. Petit bémol, compliqué de trouver des filtres à café, du coup la cafetière italienne est trop petite. Il manque un four. Sinon très bon accueil et l’emplacement de l’appartement est parfait. Quartier très sympa avec très bons resto à proximité. Nous recommandons ce logement. Kompakte Unterkunft mit dem Nötigsten

Die Wohnung ist in einer sehr guten Lage in Castello, von dort kommt man relativ gut und schnell überall hin. Wir haben uns für diese Unterkunft entschieden, weil wir von dort aus die Biennale in der Arsenale und in der Giardini fußläufig (15-20 Minuten) sehr gut erreichen konnten. Zur Unterkunft selbst: Das Apartment bietet alles, was man für einen kurzen Aufenthalt in Venedig braucht. Ein gemütliches Doppelbett, eine kleine Küche, ein sauberes Badezimmer und eine Klimaanlage. Dazu muss man allerdings sagen, dass die Nutzung der Klimaanlage separat abgerechnet wird und nicht im Mietpreis enthalten ist und das wird leider an keiner Stelle erwähnt. Der Vermieter hat uns diese Info erst mitgeteilt, nachdem wir bereits gebucht hatten. Der Kontakt vor Ort war sehr freundlich und hat uns sogar von der Fährenhaltelle abgeholt und in die Unterkunft begleitet. Dort hat er uns nochmal alles gezeigt und auf Englisch erklärt. An einigen Ecken war es etwas staubig und mit Spinnweben versehen, phasenweise hat es etwas unangenehm gerochen in der Wohnung. An den Wänden und der der Decke waren teilweise Überreste von getöteten Mücken. Die Bilder vom Garten sind definitiv nicht aktuell, weil der Garten inzwischen sehr ungepflegt und verwahrlost aussieht und überhaupt nicht einladend ist. Um in den Garten zu gelangen, muss man auch ein Stockwerk herunter, weil dieser sich innerhalb des Hofes vom Gebäude befindet. Der Garten wird gemeinschaftlich mit den dortigen Anwohnern genutzt.

Maria und Francesco sind ausgesprochen freundliche und hilfsbereite Menschen. Wir konnten krankheitsbedingt nicht Anreisen und erhielten trotzdem so liebevolle Unterstützung, um unsere organisatorischen Probleme zu lösen. Wir hoffen, dass es beim nächsten Mal klappt und wir uns persönlich treffen. Auch der Kontakt mit Fewo direkt war telefonisch kein Problem und auch hier gab es reibungslose und schnelle Hilfe.

Ruhige und gemütlich Ferienwohnung

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt in dieser gemütlichen und ruhig gelegenen Ferienwohnung. Es war alles vorhanden was man brauchen könnte, es war sauber und wir fühlten uns gleich wohl. Von der Geräuschkulisse der Stadt bekommt man nichts mit und der Garten hinter dem Haus ist sehr schön. Zudem waren die Gastgeber außerordentlich freundlich und zuvorkommend und Check-in und Check-out waren völlig unkompliziert. Gerne wieder!
