Enjoy yourself in this wonderful old-time rustic summer cottage at Lord's Point. The 1035 sq. ft cottage is located on the point at Open Way Beach with panoramic views of Fishers Island and Long Island Sound. Take in the sea breeze from your waterfront cottage whilst sipping on your favorite beverage on the front screened-in porch. Enjoy the use of a 4 x48 foot dock attached to the property with the launch located nearby. Crabbing, clamming and fishing right from the property is a sea lover's day of fun.

The kitchen includes refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, and basic cooking needs so come and enjoy summer and early fall seaside dinners and clam bakes. The property truly represents an old New England Style Beach House.

Located in the private beach association of Lords Point, you will have access to the tennis court, basketball court, playgrounds, fields, community movie and activities house, beaches and more. Relax by going solo or bring relatives and/or friends. Stay for a week or multiple weeks. The seaside possibilities are endless.

The layout on the first floor has a dining room, kitchen, cozy living room, full bath, front porch and smaller rear facing porch with continued water views. Upstairs are 4 bedrooms (1 queen and 3 full size beds). There is a 1/2 bath upstairs. The house is not heated so please plan accordingly for potentially cooler nights. No air conditioning available except for the cool ocean breezes. Open later May to early October.

Property was owned previously and has been rented out for as long as 70 years. One client, in particular, who is now in her 70's, desires to continue to rent weeks in the coming years. She enjoys this precious time with her children and grandchildren. The property has continued generations of families coming back every year. The property became available and was owned by a charity. The proceeds of this sale went to helping underserved children and to provide scholarships to future college bound students.

What makes this cottage unique

The breathtaking views sold me on this property. The boats, the waves rippling , the old time beach community and the New England Style Beach house curb appeal. The boat access from the back yard and the ocean smells and breezes calm the nerves. Also a selling point was the property is located at the end of the point , away from main roads and with panoramic views of Long Island Sound.

Wonderful rustic cottage with direct water acces!

We have had a wonderful time at this cottage. While it is not fancy, it has everything we would need. The kitchen and small pantry have all the supplies that we would need, enough for our large family plus visitors! The best part is the water access. One one side there is a quiet beach that on most days we had all to ourselves. On the other side is a long dock extending into a cove that we were able to fish and crab off of. (We got lots of blue shell crabs!). Off of the dock is a ladder leading into the cove where we were able to search for more wildlife, finding several puffer fish and pipe fish. At night we enjoyed taking walks in the community. Everyone we met was extremely friendly and welcoming. The owners are wonderful people and make sure you have everything you would need.

Exceptional location

The cottage is located in a great location surrounded by water and great views. We met the owner who is a very nice and accommodating person ready to assist you with any needs you may have. We gave this experience only two (2) stars because the inside of the cottage requires much attention to make it comfortable ......................most of the furniture needs to be replaced and a general house cleaning is called for.
