Great Views, amazing Location

Amazing views of Monte Carlo and the access to the train to Menton, Monte Carlo, Nice and Ventimiglia. The house is a perfect place to set up camp to explore the region. The soft furnishings, kitchen utensils and amenities could do with an update and I think the linen/towels should be included. Overall great property for to make a base. I will echo the other reviews and ensure that you are fit enough to tackle the stairs. Me and my family had an really enjoyable stay and Andre the host is a wonderful person and great communicating pre and mid stay!!

Very nice location

One reason to book: the unique location! Impressive view, closeness to beach, high chance of favorable weather. Several minuses: located on a very steep hillside, you need to take 100+ stairs in order to get to the road, with your luggage in hand. Additionally, car parking is very difficult: either in a garage that is very narrow and uses a lift for your car (!), or on the road where parking space is very scarce. You need a car to get to shops, so this is a recurring problem. We had a problem on arriving in getting in contact with the right person to get the keys, made us sweat a bit... Fortunately solved after a few hours. Tip: make vsure you communicate very well with the owners on this issue beforehand! Our kids had a great time here. We as parents were fond of the beach, less fond of the general atmosphere in this coastal area. Tip: take time to visit the hinterland, very beautiful mountain scenery

Don't book looking for comfort or calm!

First of all, the pictures & the description are not accurate! Unfortunately, we can't post any picture! - You don't get a villa but an apartment - On the terrasse, a house blocks the view! The pictures shown here are taken from the street and the steep stairs that you have to climb down to get to the property. - The house is nestled in between the railway and the very noisy road that links Monaco to Italy and that is used by thousands of cars and motorbikes each day. The traffic noise is ongoing from dust till midnight and can't even be shut out by the closed windows. You can't walk anywhere without being drowned in the traffic the moment you get on the street. - The comfort of this "luxurious" villa, as it is described, is non-existant, everything is old and dirty: the refrigerator, the coffeemaker, inside the cupboards, the molding shower, the furniture, etc. There are two formerly white plastic sunbeds but no cushions to go with it. Everything is reduced to a strict minimum without any consideration for the comfort of the guests. - The old beds left us sleepless most of the nights and there is no protection against mosquitos on the windows. - You have to bring you own sheets and towels but there is no information as to the sizes needed. So our sheets didn't fit... - There is NO INTERNET! + The only positive thing is the easy access to the beach. We felt so ill at ease that we left the property five days early and checked into a hotel. Waste of money!

Wunderschöne Aussicht . Kommunikation klappt prima mit der Besitzerin , ganz kleiner Nachteil , sehr viele Stufen , aber für die Aussicht lohnt es sich .

Vue magnifique, mais accès complexe

La vue sur la baie de MONACO est absolument magnifique. Et la plage est à seulement 10 minutes de marche ! Nous avons eu un trés bon accueil par André, voisin de la propriétaire. Et l'appartement était parfaitement propre. Néanmoins, il faut noter que l'accès à l'appartement est complexe à cause des nombreuses marches à descendre/monter et il n'y a pas de places pour se garer. Par contre, il y a une place dans un garage pas trop loin. Il faut noter également que c'est assez bruyant (surtout le matin), à cause de la voir de chemin de fer et de l

Wunderschöner Urlaub mit Trimm-dich-Pfad

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Urlaub. Wir wurden sehr nett von André empfangen, der uns noch extra einen Kinderstuhl besorgte. Die Strandnähe ist wunderbar, (am besten Wasserschuhe mitbringen, Steinstrand). Der Ausblick von den Wohnräumen und der Terrasse auf Monaco und das Meer ist phantastisch. Die Wohnung ist geräumig mit guten Betten, in Schlaf-und Badezimmern fehlt es an Ablagefläche. Die Küche könnte renoviert werden, ist aber funktionstüchtig. Eine neue Kaffeemaschine wäre allerdings empfehlenswert. Die Treppen zum Haus sind eine Herausforderung, sowie auch manches Mal die Parksituation. Trotzdem insgesamt ein sehr schöner Urlaub.

Le chemin du Paradis

Si le Paradis existe, nous étions certainement sur le chemin... Superbe maison avec une vue à couper le souffle. Pour la 1ère fois depuis des années, je me suis posé sur les transats et profité de la vue. Accueil très bien organisé et sympathique et contact en fin de séjour avec la maman de la propriétaire tout aussi sympathique. Maison très agréable, avec l'essentiel. Son accès, 128 marches à descendre ne permettra pas à des personnes à mobilité réduite de venir, pour les autres vous repartirez en forme. Accès directe à une plage de galets par le fond du jardin (chemin + escalier). Par le même chemin accès à la gare. Monté Carlo Country Club à 20 mn à pied par le chemin des douanier. 30 à 40 minutes pour le Casino de Monaco. Supérette, boucher et pharmacien à 10mn à pied. Seul petit bémol, le stationnement dans la rue aléatoire, mais sur la période des vacances d'avril nous n'avons pas eu de problème. Nous conseillons fortement cette location, et espérons pouvoir y revenir.

Traumhafter Ausblick, charmante Unterkunft!

Wunderschöner nicht überlaufener Strand (Badeschuhe zu empfehlen) in Fußnähe, schöne kleine Altstadt, tolle Lage zwischen Menton und Monaco. Wer einigermaßen fit ist, wird den Urlaub hier genießen.

Traumhaftes Ferienhaus

Wir waren als Familie mit 5 Personen in diesem wunderschönen Ferienhaus. Das Haus ist nur 5 Minuten zu Fuß zu einer schönen Bucht erreichbar. Ja, wie in den anderen Bewertungen geschrieben, das Haus liegt in Hanglage, und sowohl zum Meer als auch nach oben zur Straße hat man einige Stufen zu bewältigen. Das kann in der Sommerhitze auch mühsam sein, ist es aber absolut wert für die einzigartige Lage. Die Terrasse ist traumhaft, es gibt noch einen kleinen Balkon, Aussichtspunkt in Hülle und Fülle. Man schaut direkt auf Monaco, ein wahres Lichtermeer in der Nacht. André ist die Person vor Ort, die einen in das Haus einweist und immer Ansprechpartner ist. Wir konnten mit ihm auf Französisch kommunizieren. Er ist sehr, sehr nett und hilfsbereit Die zur Verfügung stehende Garage, ca. 150 m vom Treppeneingang entfernt, ist sehr speziell: Nach einmaliger Nutzung in Begleitung von André haben wir auf sie verzichtet: Mit unserem Ford S Max war es Millimeterarbeit, in die Lücke hineinzukommen, man fährt zunächst auf eine Art Hebebühne/Aufzug. Aber man findet eigentlich immer einen Parkplatz oben an der Straße, und diese sind kostenlos. Wie gesagt, zum Haus selbst geht es auch noch einige Treppen runter von der Straße, man kann also nicht direkt zum Haus vorfahren. Allen, die körperlich fit sind, ist dieses Haus absolut zu empfehlen. Es hat Charme! Nur kurze Wege bis Menton (5 Minuten mit dem Auto), nach Monaco (10 Minuten) und nach Nizza (20 - 30 Min.). Es fährt auch ein Bus in beide Richtungen, man kann z. B. nach Nizza für 1,50 Euro pro Person fahren. Der Strand ist ein Steinstrand, am besten Badeschuhe mitnehmen. Man findet immer ein Schattenplätzchen, und der Strand ist nicht sehr voll - sehr angenehm. Weiterer Pluspunkt: Die Klimaanlage in den beiden Schlafräumen und im Wohnzimmer. Das war nötig im Juli!

Vacanza tra le più belle

Con mia moglie e un'altra coppia di amici, abbiamo appena trascorso una piacevole vacanza di una settimana a Roquebrune. La casa, come descritto nella presentazione ha, da tutti gli angoli, una magnifica vista su Montecarlo, godevole soprattutto dall'ampio patio, a lato dell'immobile. La sera, con le luci che illuminano la collina, le lussuose imbarcazioni ormeggiate a poca distanza dalla costa e il silenzio rotto unicamente dalle onde del mare, è uno veramente uno spettacolo. La casa è accessibile tramite 120 gradini dall'Avenue Pierre Curie oppure con un più agevole sentiero, pavimentato in calcestruzzo e poco distante, che poi conduce alla spiaggia sottostante, a circa 10 minuti di cammino. L'iniziale fatica è, tuttavia, appagata. L'interno è accogliente e sobrio. Vale la pena ritornarci. Il giudizio finale è, per noi, ottimo, anche se il prezzo, considerato per una sola famiglia, è un po' eccessivo. Giovanni - Pinuccia - Fabio - Sabina.

We liked everything! The ...

We liked everything! The villa is very cosy, quiet, with a big garden, and the seaview is great. The beach is just 10 min. walk down the hill. The house has everything necessary, so the description on the site is exact. We had an opportunity to use the garage nearby, which was also an advantage. The villa can't be recommended for people to whom going up and down the hill could be a problem, but for us it vas good exercise. Tryig to be objective, I must say, that the only negative thing for us was that we came and left on Fridays, not on Saturdays, so we had to pay extra 100 euros, though we stayed one week. But the stay was so pleasant, that we agreed to pay this extra charge. One bedroom doesn't have windows at all (only two doors), but that was ok. Hope to come again!
