So lovely to stay in a period property with lots of charm. Our hosts very kind and generous to us

La Borie, La Grubby

We did not realise we would be sharing the Gite with so many cobwebs, spiders and flying insects. The pool was not maintained during our stay resulting in many many dead flying bugs etc. We left the Gite cleaner than when we arrived only to receive a snotty email from the owner saying we had not mopped the floors to which we pointed out no mop was provided. Also the owner said we had not cleaned the windows which had not been cleaned for yonks. We were asked why we had not informed them of the light bulb not working? Actually there were two not working when we arrived.

Nous avons passĂ© trois semaines merveilleuses en famille au gĂźte La Borie, la maison a une vraie Ăąme, le cadre est idyllique et idĂ©alement situĂ©e dans une rĂ©gion oĂč les visites sont trĂšs trĂšs nombreuses. Le lieu est magique, un vrai paradis pour déconnecter, tout est réuni : la région superbe, le calme et le charme du lieu, les animaux qui ont égayé nos journées. Un petit paradis

Wir haben als Familie 2 wunderbare und sehr erholsame Wochen in dem herrlichen Anwesen "La Borie" verbracht. Die historischen GebĂ€ude sind gut instand gesetzt, liebevoll eingerichtet und haben innen und außen ganz viel Charme. Der Garten ist parkartig und es findet sich auch bei Hitze stets ein schattiges PlĂ€tzchen unter einem der großen BĂ€ume. Der Pool ist super, groß und sauber. ValĂ©rie und Jean-Noel sind perfekte Gastgeber: herzlich, stets ansprechbar und hilfsbereit und trotzdem zurĂŒckhaltend!!! Zur aktiven BetĂ€tigung gibt es neben dem Pool die Möglichkeit Tischtennis oder Boule zu spielen und fĂŒr Kinder steht auch noch ein Trampolin zur VerfĂŒgung. Viel Freude haben uns auch die Tiere von La Borie bereitet: 4 Esel, ein Pferd, 2 freilaufende HĂŒhner, eine Taube und ganz besonders die 3 Laufenten als Neuankömmlinge! In Limeyrat steht fĂŒr das FrĂŒhstĂŒck am Morgen eine kleine BĂ€ckerei zur VerfĂŒgung. Von La Borie aus kann mann gut AusflĂŒge zu den SehenswĂŒrdigkeiten an der VezĂšre oder nach Perigeux unternehmen, genauso gut kann man aber auch ganze Tage herrlich in La Borie verbringen! Ganz herzlichen Dank an Valerie und Jean-Noel! Gern kommen wir wieder!

Notre sĂ©jour Ă  La Borie Ă©tait inoubliable. PremiĂšre fois que nous voyagions avec un bĂ©bĂ©, premiĂšre fois dans le mystĂ©rieux PĂ©rigord, et la toute premiĂšre fois que nous avions rĂ©servĂ© le mĂȘme logement pendant deux semaines consĂ©cutives. Donc ça devait ĂȘtre bien, sinon ça pourrait ĂȘtre des vacances frustrantes. Nous sommes donc allĂ©s chercher un endroit oĂč sĂ©journer avec de bonnes critiques. Eh bien, dire que La Borie reçoit de bonnes critiques est un euphĂ©misme. Alors on a voulu savoir si ça existe : la perfection. Cinq Ă©toiles de tous les invitĂ©s ? Cela vaut la peine d'essayer. Ce qui semble? La Borie vaut bien chaque critique positif. De l'accueil au dĂ©part et tout le reste
 nous n'avons eu aucun problĂšme. Tout ce dont vous avez besoin est lĂ , et plus encore. Le cadre est enchanteur, la propriĂ©tĂ© elle-mĂȘme est pleine de caractĂšre, tout comme ses propriĂ©taires. Et les animaux, bien sĂ»r. La Borie est la base idĂ©ale pour explorer la belle rĂ©gion. Nous avons Ă©tĂ© surpris chaque jour. A la fois Ă  cause des nombreux villages et villes oĂč vous vous imaginez au Moyen Âge, et Ă  cause de La Borie elle-mĂȘme : vous ne vous ennuierez pas facilement ici. ValĂ©rie et Jean NoĂ«l ont tout fait pour que vous puissiez partir, mais que vous n'ayez pas Ă  partir. Piscine, pĂ©tanque, ping-pong, ... et surtout : beaucoup de repos. Tout est fourni. Merci LaBorie.

Wunderbarer Ort

Wir haben 1 Woche an diesem wunderbaren Ort verbracht. Das Ferienhaus liegt sehr ruhig, ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet und sehr gut ausgestattet. Der große Garten mit Pool verspricht Erholung pur. Valerie ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns in La Borie sehr wohl gefĂŒhlt.

Magnifique séjour !!

Ce gite est superbe, dĂ©corĂ© avec goĂ»t et trĂšs bien Ă©quipĂ©. Le cadre extĂ©rieur l’est tout autant : le jardin et ses animaux, la piscine, table de ping-pong, trampoline, petit terrain de pĂ©tanque 
 Nous avons apprĂ©ciĂ© d’alterner les visites des sites et villages environnants avec des journĂ©es au gĂźte pour tout simplement profiter du dĂ©cor extĂ©rieur et de tout ce qu’il a Ă  offrir. Nous aurons passĂ© avec nos 2 filles de trĂšs belles vacances Ă  la Borie. Le mot de la fin, cette petite pĂ©pite est tenue par des hĂŽtes 5 Ă©toiles, bienveillants et discrets. Un grand merci Ă  ValĂ©rie, Jean-NoĂ«l et Ruben avec qui nous auront partagĂ© de bons moments et de belles discussions

idyllisch ruhige Lage mit Pool

Wir haben als Familie (4 Erwachsene, 1 Kind, 11 Jahre) drei sehr entspannte und erholsame Wochen genießen können. Das Haus liegt sehr ruhig und abgelegen, das GrundstĂŒck ist sehr groß und gepflegt, die vielen Tiere auf dem Hof (HĂŒhner, Esel, Pferde und viele Singvögel) sind perfekt fĂŒr Kinder geeignet. Der Pool ist sauber und warm (beheizt, ca. 26 Grad) und die Vermieter (Valerie und Jean Noel) sind sehr freundlich, Hilfsbereit und drĂ€ngen sich dennoch nie auf. Extra fĂŒr uns und nun auch fĂŒr alle folgenden GĂ€ste, haben Sie sogar kurzfristig eine Boule-Bahn aus Sand angelegt. FreizeitaktivitĂ€ten: Wandern, Fahrradfahren (Rennrad, Gravel, Mountenbike), Kanufahren, Höhlenbesichtigungen, auf MĂ€rkten einkaufen (finden tĂ€glich an verschiedenen Orten statt) und StĂ€dte besuchen bietet sich an. Unser Highlight waren die tĂ€glichen Besuche der beiden HofhĂŒhner (Dessen Eier ĂŒbrigens vorzĂŒglich schmecken) die uns beim FrĂŒhstĂŒck und Abendessen begleitet haben. Wir wĂŒrden das Ferienhaus jederzeit weiterempfehlen.

Un sans faute ! Un pur bonheur !

Une bulle de douceur et de bien ĂȘtre dans cette jolie location, RĂ©gion splendide ! Chevaux, Ăąnes, poules, trampoline, piscine (un vrai plus nos filles ont adorĂ© !) et le tout dans un calme qui nous plonge dans une grande sĂ©rĂ©nitĂ© ! PropriĂ©taires au top ! Nous avons passĂ© des vacances inoubliables dans la rĂ©gion du PĂ©rigord. Le gĂźte est situĂ© juste en dehors de Limeyrat, la boulangerie est Ă  environ 1km. A moins d’une heure du gĂźte vous trouverez tous les villages, villes, randonnĂ©es et activitĂ©s Ă  voir et Ă  faire. ValĂ©rie est super accueillante et toujours prĂȘte Ă  donner des conseils et de l’aide. C’est un environnement chaleureux et tranquille. Les poules, Ăąnes et chevaux sont un grand plus. Tout comme tous les fruits frais du domaine. Je conseille vivement un sĂ©jour chez ValĂ©rie Ă  tout ceux qui veulent profiter au maximum de la rĂ©gion et d’un gĂźte confortable avec tous les facilitĂ©s. Ah oui, la piscine est top! Un tout grand merci pour ce sĂ©jour magique!

A great stay in the French countryside

We had a wonderful stay at La Borie. Valerie is a great host, leaving us to get on with it, but always available and very friendly and helpful if we needed any help or advice. The children enjoyed saying hello to the donkeys and the heated pool was lovely. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to have stayed longer if we could.

Wir hben im Juni 1 Woche in dem wunderschönen Haus von Valerie verbracht. Das Anwesen incl. Pool und Garten sind grandios. Die Tiere sind gerade fĂŒr Kinder toll. Valerie ist sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Es hat an nichts gefehlt. Die Ausstattung der Wohnung ist tadellos. Ein Ort zum WohlfĂŒhlen und Enstspannen !

Haus im " Paradies" mit allem nötigen Komfort

Der ehemalige Bauernhof liegt in einer ruhigen fĂŒr das Perigord typischen Landschaft und bietet alles, was man fĂŒr einen erholsamen Urlaub braucht. Der Pool bietet mit seine Grösse von ca. 12 x 6 m genĂŒgend Platz zu Schwimmen, das GrundstĂŒck erlaubt kleinere SpaziergĂ€nge. SpaziergĂ€nge in der Umgebung enden leider immer wieder auf geteerten schmalen Straßen ( was unser Hund irgendwann nicht mehr akzeptierte) .Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und freundlich, bei jeglichen Fragen hilfsbereit. Diese Location bietet sich gerade fĂŒr Familien mit Kindern an, da auf dem Hof noch 4 Esel, 2 Pferde, 2 ( fast zahme) HĂŒhner und Kaninchen leben. Ein wahrer Ort der Entspannung. Etwas nachteilig ist die Tatsache, dass alle EinkĂ€ufe mit dem Auto erfolgen mĂŒssen, der nĂ€chste Supermarkt ist ca. 10 km entfernt.
